So... I am clueless about what to do with Tumblr as a platform after 2 years of sparse activity so for the 35 Followers that I happen to have,, I guess I'll be migrating to the account @itsallforjade.

I would be genuinely surprised if someone even remembers me at this point, but I am that one person that 3 years ago gaslighted Cyber Phobia in the Homewrecker All Might prompt. Resulting in me going on with the idea and starting my so-called journey as a Fan Fiction writer on AO3 (Here's that account: JadeS2356).

I'm going to guess this is a non DfO AU.

Izuku gets kidnapped at Kamino along with Katsuki and Izuku wakes up in front of All for One.

AfO: So... You are the other merchant of Quirks.

Izuku:

AfO, already liking him: Interested in a trade?

AU where Izuku has All for One and nobody bats an eye at it until he gets to UA

It's mostly because in Aldera, almost everyone know each other since they are little kids. A small child doesn't have preconceived notion about villainous quirks or dangerous quirks, they just class them as "Neat", "Boring" and "Awesome". Izuku can take and give quirks, which is neat bordering on awesome when he accepts to switch quirks. That mentality stayed with them so even when an outsider came to the group, there was a five second freak-out followed by "Eh, I guess this is normal."

All Might doesn't meet Izuku because of the Sludge villain but because of a con where students from Aldera showed up with very powerful quirks that weren't matching up the quirk registry. Even stranger, the next week, everyone was back to their original quirk. All Might was freaking out because he thought it was AFO. He found Izuku instead. "Listen, I understand that you want to help your classmates but it's wrong." "But the exams are biased!" "Can't argue with that... It's illegal?" "It wasn't. I used my quirk at their home so it wasn't in public places. I also have everyone consent's form." "Okay, consider, if you do that for someone going to UA, Nedzu will have your hide for it."

Izuku didn't have any problem until he went to UA. There was a really heavy silence in 1-A when he told what his quirk was but it didn't go beyond that.

People outside of 1-A, students, civilians and heroes alike comment on his quirk, qualifying it as "scary", which sends Bakugou into a frenzy. He especially gets the frightened looks after the USJ noumu.

Izuku being deadpan every time people comments on his quirk.

Monoma: "How does it feel not to be able to do anything on your own and to have to steal quirks to fight?" Izuku: "Oh, it could be worse. I thank the heavens every day that I don't have anything lame like copying quirks for five minutes." Endeavor: "It's a scary power... not unlike that guy, AFO, who haunts my nightmares." Izuku: "It's true that Hellfire is such a sweet and harmless quirk in comparison." Shigaraki: "You could be part of my League and take as many quirks as you want!" Izuku: "Or I could be a hero, help people and take the quirks of the morons who ambush me at a mall. :)"

I think my specific problem with this theory is that I really don't like any instance of "My family is in danger but let's not warn them about it, instead I will sacrifice myself".

Okay, about Dfo-theory: What if it will turns out, that Afo isn't Izuku's dad, BUT(!) Izuku is actually Yoichi's great-great-he'll knows-great-grandson? And Hisashi is distant, because he trying distract Afo from his family, like all relatives before him. Would you like it as concept?

Listen, to each their own. I don't like any concept that refutes the dfo theory.

Okay non-European tumblr, I’m gonna explain to you why ‘white’ isn’t as simple here as it is in the rest of the world

- Shades of white in Europe range from ‘freshly fallen snow’ to ‘I am frequently mistaken as being from the Middle East’

- White European is a thing. When you fill out a form, under ethnicity, there are several options for white; white British, white European, white other. Because people make that distinction

- There are Europeans who don’t class their ethnicity as their skin colour, but as their nationality. I have family who don’t think of themselves as white, they just think of themselves as Italian and don’t really give much thought to their skin colour

- People here in Britain always question if darker skinned white Europeans are ‘actually white’. I get it a lot myself. My response is always ‘well I’m not anything else, so obviously I must be’

- Despite being white, a lot of Europeans from Italy, Greece, Spain etc, don’t feel white in the traditional sense. We’re not white like white British people. We’re not white like white Americans. We’re our own white. White British is one thing. White Italian is another thing. White Greek is another, etc

- Which is why we have this notion here in Europe of ‘nationality over race’. Being white isn’t as important as where you’re from

- So this really only becomes an issue if you’re an immigrant

- So being white in Europe doesn’t save you from racial discrimination, because sure, you’re technically white, but you’re not white white. Not the right white

- Here in England, Europeans with really blatantly foreign names, such as myself, find it more difficult to get job interviews, because they take one look at our name and don’t bother reading the rest of the CV. A guy I know was actually told by his boss to reduce the pile of CVs he had by ‘chucking away any with a name you can’t fucking pronounce’

- And then even when you do get an interview, half the time you walk into the joint several shades darker than everyone else and feel like you’ve walked into the ‘Swedish supermodel’ clubhouse and you just know you’re not getting hired

This is all basic stuff and it’s very much taken for granted here. Race and ethnicity are not as clear cut, so it can be very confusing for non-Europeans to wrap their heads around. Which is fine. But I implore you to stay in your lane, because when you say things like ‘no white person anywhere in the world ever knows what it’s like to face racial discrimination’, it’s really fucking offensive to all of the European immigrants who are denied jobs, harassed by the police and beaten by racists, because foreign is foreign to these people, and they don’t give a shit if you’re technically white. So when you mean white American, say white American.

Or Izuku never stops wondering if you need a quirk to be a hero. Here are four times he asks heroes whose opinion he values and four times he is told no.

Hey ppl who write Felinette content pls be aware that AO3 user Lovelife0524 is potentially copypasting other peoples works and claiming they're their own fic! They copy pasted my entire first chapter and then only gave a 'shout out' in the notes section without linking to or naming the fic and they certainly didn't ask permission to use anything from my fic.

A random commenter let me know and said that the entire fic feels really disjointed and could possibly be stolen from various fics, they only have 1 work up so far so guys just pop over and check okay? Not much we can do considering they've turned comments off on the fic but it's best if people know right?

You know what? Good on you Bakugo for finally doing the thing everybody has waited you to do since the start. It’s kind of like another example of the next generation being hopefully better about all this, as Bakugo did kinda paraller Endeavor in the story (heck Toshinori even compared him to Endeavor at one point)

Now I don’t really care either of these two characters that much, as I just don’t find them that interesting personally (or well, to be fair I do like Bakugo a bit as he is, well, a tad more interesting as a character than the flame moustache man, as to me the latter’s most interesting part is kind of a plot device thing. I’m not even gonna go to the emotional/moral angle here as that’s its whole separate thing, I’m just speaking strictly from writing perspective as it’s more natural to me as a writer myself lmao) but this did also kinda make me think of how I’ve seen people be really frustrated about Endeavor’s supposed ’redemption arc’ or so, as they feel he doesn’t deserve it (which, totally fair)

The thing is, I feel like it’s not even meant to be one? Not really?

IDK if its because of me reading posts analysing the original text more in depth as shit gets lost in translation a LOT (which is true with bnha too) but my impression of the story there is more showcasing how these things can fail, if you don’t truly grasp where you went wrong. Having a bit more, I guess, ’realistic’ look at how somebody like this prideful guy could go about it - and fail because he doesn’t actually get it. He’s still putting himself and his hero duty first, over being a father, which was the thing he initially failed at (to put it mildly)

To me it’s not really about redeeming Endeavor, but rather showing why he still can’t redeem himself properly, because he doesn’t truly grasp where he went wrong. He’s still stuck in his self-centered percpective in a way, which gets in the way of him actually getting proper narrative redemption. Basically it sucks on purpose, if that makes sense?

At least, that is how the story reads for me; I can’t say if this is really the case, what Hori intended lmao.

IDK just felt like sharing my musings about this after seeing the spoilers. I might be totally off with what I’m thinking like said. Either way, good on you Bakugo.

Everyone can call me lame but I would like to see if the guy was evil from the start or descended Into madness as time passed and he remained the same.

being more of a LOV fan/preferring their story in this fandom is kinda funny sometimes, because it feels like I’m more part of a completely separate fandom, away from the typical fandom drama that seems to be happening on the….IDK I guess I should call it “hero side” or something.

Like I have no clue about any big dramas going on within the fandom, I only hear rumors and see glimpses of that mess, while sitting on my small, quiet chill corner, sipping my coffee and minding my own business.

Like the latest thing with Mineta in the manga translation, I’m just…pretty much amused by the whole thing, because I don’t care about the hero side that much to begin with anymore. I’m only really reading BNHA at this point just to see how Tomura’s story (and Izuku’s by extension) ends.
