Hii, I've been wanting to experiment new things in Photoshop and remembered I have this gorgeous post of yours in my likes https://jackarthurdavenport.tumblr.com/post/657953514149036032/all-you-need-is-here would you mind doing a tutorial of how you played with these colors? I've tried to implement some gradients on my gifs but I guess that's not the way to do it because it doesn't look quite right or even close to your gifs jdhdkd thank you in advance!!
Hi there! Aww thank you.
I haven't been on here in a while, sorry. And I tried looking for the PSD for that set you mentioned but looks like I didn't save it. But yeah, it's easy!
It's not a gradient. You just add a different color fill layer for each one. So for that second GIF, I added cyan over Maeve's GIF and green over Otis'. Once that's done, only then did I blend the GIFs. So it gives the illusion of a gradient.
1. Make your individual GIFs.
2. Add a color fill layer over each individual GIF.
3. Copy one GIF onto the other, set the Blend mode to Screen. Blend them as you usually do.
And that's it! A "fake" gradient LOL
* As for how to get that sort of color blend over each individual GIF, I usually make three copies of that color fill layer, each of them set to a different blend mode. My go-to's are usually Soft Light (100% opacity) + Multiply (20-40% opacity) + Color (100% opacity), but experiment with it as much as you like. Just stack them on top of each other in your layers.

Okay so a production of Hamlet that ends with “Goodnight, sweet prince,” etc. and then Horatio looks up and sees the audience for the first time and is both shocked and furious, because his world is falling apart and you sat there and watched.
