HAHAHAHA oh BOY you dont know how badly i struggled with that💀💀 after i had already finished all the lineart i realized that her hair was in the way and i didnt want to go back because i had already began coloring. that was literally the focus point of the drawing and her shoulders were COVERED i had put so much thought in how her wings should connect to her body only for it to look weird in the end. but i plan to make more drawings of her so its okay.

also if your wondering why her hair has those areas of stripes i took some inspiration after scene

yknow those little hair strip things yeah and i thought i was a GENIUS. because i used them to represent

see how they are striped yeah i feel so cool for that but it ended up BITING ME IN THE ASS because her damn HAIR whatever

im making her older sister right now, whos a full grown butterfly! its a lot of fun, i love designing characters

ACTUALLY! shes a caterpillar that releases honeydew to attract ants so that they attempt to eat her, but then makes a croaking sound similar to a queen ants distress call, so the ant takes her back into the colony and based off of her sounds the entire colony now accepts her as their queen. then, she eats all of the previously captured caterpillars in the burrow as her source of nutrition (and im pretty sure the ants too) until she cocoons and turns into a large blue butterfly.

so, she became the queen of her predator, ate her own species, then ate the ants themselves. the more you know

but then this was me at the end because she cooked a little bit

like i said, i dont dislike her at all anymore, shes just not among my favorites. but i understand why people like her character so much, and i do REALLY like her relationship with sayaka, i think its really unique and their personalities are perfect for eachother. i think sayaka brings out the best in kyoko and i love to see that, thats when i really start to like kyoko the most is in the moments that she shows the same kindness

i feel very bad admitting this but......i........im actually not a huge fan of kyoko. SHE IS ALRIGHT, i just dont specifically like her....i dont know. i know thats a SUPER unpopular opinion and i feel actually terrible for thinking that but honestly I just havent found many traits about her that stand out to me or that im specifically fond of...shes just kind of like...a character. im also just a little confused with her, she stresses to not waste food, so i thought that she would be the type to savor it but shes constantly eating it? i mean same but. i also just think her backstory is too tragic for my taste...probably just me, but characters with overly tragic backstories generally arent really likeable to me, since its hard to sympathize with them. i also just am not super fond of the way she acts in a lot of different situations and her view on things, and her violence. i think shes a wonderful character she just isnt for me personally...i dont dislike her, its just...i dont agree with everything she does. SHE DOES HAVE HER MOMENTS WHERE SHE STARTS TO GROW ON ME THOUGH!

as for mami, i am a HUGE. mami fan. Mami was my favorite character wayy before homura.....mami and homura are probably my top 2. theres just something about mami's compassion for others, her positivity, shes rational while staying nice, and i can tell she genuinely cares about teaching her friends....idk i look up to her a lot. shes also just like the older sister of the group, and i love that. and i can also sympathize with her loneliness, and her desire to have someone fighting by her side, i literally fell in love with her character right as she was introduced. her design is also beautiful and i LOVE her house and how shes always offering people baked goods, i really wish i could stop by her house and eat macarons and all the delicious things she has there!!! she is just perfect and amazing in every way i LOVE HER!!!

anyways, they are pretty much opposite in how i view them, so this was VERY interesting to answer, thank you so so much for asking this!! i love giving my opinion on characters!! :) i also know taht you sent me a mami and kyoko duet, and hinted at me asking about it, so they must have some sort of relation....i would love to know more!

HAHA, it wouldnt, but i sent those texts in the middle of me watching the series, not the end...so i had no idea madoka would turn out to be a goddess. i thought that the main problem was that magical girls work hard all of their lives and are never remembered. also, i LOVE mami, so when nobody would remember who she was i was really sad. if i was madoka, thats the wish i wouldve made to kyubey on that bench

(also, i LOVE homuras hair flip, immediately knew she was 🏳️‍🌈🥰)

i was just looking through old texts to my friends to try and remember my first opinions of her, and this is the first time i mention her..

uhhh yeah ive pretty much loved her from the beginning.

Even her cold and mysterious side was intriguing to me, i knew there was way more about her character then was shown at the moment, i literally only got excited when SHE was on screen because characters who act like that are just super interesting to me...a part of me did dislike her a little since her and mami didnt seem to be on good terms, and i didnt understand some of the decisions she would make, but i pretty much came to terms with the fact that she was probably doing everything for a reason. shes also just super pretty and does some super cool stuff and i was just like woahhh

basically, i knew that she was not what she seemed, and thats what made me like her so much, because i couldnt wait for the moment where everything would be explained. and that moment could NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER!!! it was a HUGE surprise, and i loved loved LOVEDD seeing her vulnerable. she finally started to feel like a person that i admittedly relate to

i never had a specific moment where i straight up did not like her, shes always been cool to me. and i just like her even more now that i know all that shes been through :(
