hanging out with jinwoo was normal for xiang at this point. the two became friends quickly and didn’t waste time in hanging out. xiang felt he could easily trust him, like he felt with most people. “ it w-wasn’t ? ” xiang questioned, his smile dropping as the other spoke. he had heard the joke from another, and found it rather amusing, and in wanting to make jinwoo laugh, he repeated it. although the older was laughing, his words were contradictory, and brough a blush to xiang’s cheeks, making him duck his head in embarrassment. “ i-i thought it was pretty funny. ” he mumbled.
jinwoo was internally panicking for making the other upset. he felt like the biggest asshole on the planet when the other lost his smile. “ no, ohmygod it was i promise, ” he was trying really hard to convince the other that his jokes were funny and that he himself was the unfunny one. “ i was just, trying to protect my pride i guess. ” jinwoo couldn't believe he had been such a dick about the other's joke. it was a funny joke, and he should have just laughed at it with the other. “ i'm sorry... ”

jinwoo felt like being around yin xiang was the best feeling in the world. this boy had brought a sense of happiness back into his life. he made him smile, something he hadn't done outside of the animal shelter since somi had left. xiang made jinwoo feel warm, made his heart race. currently they were both outside eating a lunch near the beach. xiang had told some sort of joke and jinwoo was trying to hide his smile from the other. “ that wasn't funny... ”

jinwoo had cleaned up his act since he was younger. he no longer stole things from people, and he hadn't thought of doing it for a long time. he was outside the university, down by the movie theater when he saw him. it was the other asshole of campus. someone he had to compete with for the title of worst guy on campus. mj used his power outside of campus for his own gain, which could be punished. instead of snitching, jinwoo would use this to his own advantage. “ watch where you're going, you wouldn't want everyone know what you've done. ”
it wasn’t that mj had forgotten his wallet, it was more a matter of he hadn’t bothered to bring it. it wasn’t difficult for mj to obtain money by other means, although he couldn’t be bothered with the effort of stealing right now. using his power was an easier bet. as he walked down the street, he managed to subtly pull a stranger to the side. before they could react, he spoke to them calmly, the power flowing from his tongue and into their ears. “ you want to give me your wallet, right ? ” he watched as the other’s eyes went into a clear daze, as they nodded and handed over their wallet without hesitation. mj pocketed it quickly, whispering a quick “ forget my face. ” before hastily leaving. mj suddenly collided with another person. as mj straightened up and stared at them, he wondered whether they had seen what had just occurred.

Jinwoo finished his test and was about to leave when he heard the person singing something. The song was the same one that Somi used to love and say was there song. When he heard the other crying he walked quietly towards her. He began to sing back softly.“Let’s take our time, to say what we want. Use what we got, before it’s all gone..”
Somi was editing her final project: First Love, she took multiple pictures she had of her and Jinwoo. She started to lightly sing their song. “ So I’m gonna love you like I’m gonna lose you,

Jinwoo had been focused on his make up test in the empty room when someone walked in. He glanced up when they took a seat and did a double take. Somi? His first love? The person that broke his heart by leaving the day he was going to propose? Jinwoo shook his head and finished his test. He was probably just seeing things, or it was someone who just looked like her.

Somi was walking down one of the more desolate and near enough abandoned hallways with a few spare classrooms to study in. She walked into one and saw a rather familiar figure, she shook her head and took a seat at a computer before popping headphones and humming along.

“ah well, i have a younger sister and two parents. my sister is younger than me, sometimes i miss her a lot. my parents were foster parents to a lot of children when i was younger. some of the children attend jaeneung, i try to avoid them if i’m being honest.” jinwoo licks his lips as he sticks his hands in the pockets of his jeans. “i left when i was 17, and i haven’t contacted my parents since.” he rocks back on the balls of his feet before taking a drag pf his cigarette.

hey its jess again! this time im bringing you my miscreant troubled youth jinwoo!
background; jinwoo's family would often times bring in foster children. jinwoo was always jealous and would lash out at his family about it. he spent a lot of time outside of the house in the animal shelter, where he fell in love with animals. he also listened to classical music and try to replicate it by sound alone. he ran away from home and got into a lot of trouble with the law.
personality; jinwoo has a short temper and loves to argue with people. he has a very guarded personality and hates letting others inside. he's been hurt so much by other people and even himself, he feels unlovable. he melts around animals and would give everything to protect every animal on the planet.
power; jinwoo's power is specialized pyrokinesis and increased agility. he knows how to control his secondary power but he is still so new to his primary power, he often lets it overwhelm him. his pyrokinesis only works in his hands when his emotions flare up. the fires are usually hottest when he is angry or embarrassed. he is terrified of hurting another loving being and tries to avoid touching people with his hands at all costs.
university involvement; he was sent to the university after having dropped out of high school and running from the law for multiple years. he is eight years behind on his animal science degree so he has a lot of things to catch up on. he's minoring in classical music so that he can play around on the piano.
current life; currently jinwoo is trying to suppress control his powers and come to terms with his past. his first love, kang somi, is attending the university as well as his first ever boy crush and his twin brother. jinwoo is trying to just survive university life but he often gets himself into drama due to his short temper. he makes decisions quickly, so he often makes the wrong ones.
