There are endless examples of stories where the protagonist is not the most popular character, or where a side character steals the show, or where the protagonist simply isn't as deep and interesting as some others in the story. And some of those are still good stories, the main character doesn't *need* to be the "best" one. But Aang isn't an example of that. He has as much depth and as long an arc as anyone else, and yes, that includes Zuko. AtLA is crammed full of great, nuanced characters, from the protagonist on down to small parts in single episodes.

Starfire (the 2003 animated version) is my favorite character of all time. I love her. I think she's an inspiration, a role model and the definition of a true hero.

When I say this character has helped me through the absolute worst of times, I mean it. She's given me joy when I've had none. She's brought me hope when I've felt there's none left. She's helped me more than I can possibly describe.

And it saddens me that she doesn't get the love and appreciation she deserves, not even from her own show.

So that is the point of this post. To show her some damn appreciation.
