Ancestor work can include pets btw
I never knew a lot of my deceased family, and the ones I did know I didn't know well. I loved my great grandmother, but in reality I didn't know her well, I still honor her and my grandpa who died when I was 3, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't closer to my cats.
My cats were with me my whole life, and theirs, they're my children. I soothe them to sleep by cradling them when they're scared, I sing to them and they sing back, I sleep with them every night. They are my whole world, and I'd do anything for them.
So of course they're honored after death like a blood family member, of course I leave them offerings and speak to them beyond the grave, of course there is space for them on my altars.
Don't let anyone tell you pets deserve less honor than humans in your practice.

love your body. do not be ashamed of your body, do not look at it in disgust for it is one of aphrodites creations. feed yourself chocolate, put on your best lotion & scents, wear those clothes & strunt in the mirror naked. all these acts are a devotion & love to the goddess' creation

Science is important.
I love spirituality, I love witchcraft, but we need to make something very clear.
Science and medicine cannot and will not ever be something that witchcraft can replace.
You still need to get vaccinated.
You still need to go to your therapist.
You still need to get antibiotics.
You still need your cancer treatments.
You still need your check ups.
You still need to believe scientists.
Do not fall into the trap that witchcraft will cure physical illnesses like Covid, diabetes, fibromyalgia, or anything else like that. It will not, and you need to take care of yourself.

Pagan PSA:
You don’t have to join a group. You don’t have to worship every day, or every week, or even do anything that resembles conventional worship at all. You don’t need an altar. You don’t need to meditate, or communicate with gods, or learn magic.
So often, I see people worry that they’re not doing enough with their spirituality. And while sometimes that’s a good push to dig deeper… other times it is just needless worrying. There are millions of Christians who don’t go to church, don’t tithe, don’t even think of their god outside of two holidays a year - and they are still confident in their faith. Why should it be different for pagans? We don’t need to stress about this.
I’m a filthy filthy casual. I have a small altar, and I only make offerings when I remember to, which is very very infrequently. I celebrate on major holidays mostly by cleaning and cooking and self-care, with a quick prayer of thanks to Freyr, Freyja, Thor, and the land spirits, and give them a shot of bourbon or something.
I hardly ever meditate. I don’t research a ton. I’m not interested in learning seidr or any magic more complex than the most basic of peasant folk magic.
And you know what? This is way less stressful and way less heartbreaking than the time I spent trying so hard to dedicate myself to spirituality. I can take it casually, I can acknowledge that my life is here and now.
It’s so freeing, and I wish I saw more of this discussed in pagan communities. I think it would help a lot of people who are struggling under the weight of expectation.

When you have been wronged by someone, do you feel as though Dionysus encourages self care and looking out for yourself more, or do you feel as though he encourages or even enjoys requests for him to defend you and invoke the madness and revenge he has been known for?
I'm struggling in a dilemma of wanting to leave offerings and pray for him to scorn those who have hurt me and make them suffer equally as they have made me suffer, VS, self care and putting it all behind me.

"you need protection as a pagan !!!!!!" "spirits can impersonate the Gods and block Them out when you worship !!!" "negative spirits are common so be careful your Deity isn't an Imposter !!!"
listen dude idk if you've felt a Deity before but I'm fairly sure that Dionysos blinking has enough power to incinerate a negative entity so why fear monger beginners when you could just Not

black winged Thanatos gentle one,  soft spoken son of glittering Nyx  twin brother of elusive Hypnos
with your sheathed sword,  you come to us quietly. wreathed in poppies  you come to all with your black feathered wings and envelope us at the final hour
the last tender embrace.
with your sheathed sword, you come to us quietly. wreathed in poppies their fragrance putting us to our final slumber to embrace the velvet darkness.
gentle one, let the final hour be peaceful just as you are.
