There are way more sudden, closely relationships that honestly just don’t go not to mention yet again cats don’t care for age and there are way worse age gaps and I’ll list them

So I’ve noticed that people are accusing others of not liking FernIvy just because it’s a “hetero ship” which is. Not true. There are several reasons people aren’t comfortable with the ship.

1. It was extremely sudden. I mean, this is common with wc relationships. They’re often pretty underdeveloped. But seriously, Ivy and Fern had like, one interaction and suddenly Ivy was in love and in the nursery. It came out of nowhere and seemed really forced.

2. The age gap. Ivypool was a fully-grown warrior when Fern was born. I know that age gaps in the series are not unheard of, but that doesn’t make them any less unhealthy or uncomfortable for people to read.

3. They’re closely related. Fern is Lionblaze’s son, and Lionblaze is Ivypool’s cousin. There was an entire prophecy dedicated to how Dovewing and Ivypool were related to Lionblaze and his siblings, and now Ivypool is in a relationship with his son. That’s just… uncomfortable to say the least.

So in short, stop attacking people who don’t ship FernIvy. There’s several reasons to be uncomfy with the ship, and it’s not just because “blah blah they think Ivypool is a lesbian and hate het ships.”
