August Prompts Day 2: Volatile

The last generator started with a loud ring, an alarm sounding to alert the remaining survivors of their accomplishment. There was only two. Zach had been in chase throughout the match, the killer having some sort of grudge from a previous match was her assumption for the aggressive behavior. Once the alarm blared throughout the Macmillan Estate, Zach's heartbeat slowed to a calmer pace as the killer walked towards the gates, likely to find her last teammate opening the gate. The brunette turned and looked for one if the gates, hoping to power the exit and finally escape. She began to panic and the girl realized she had no idea where either of the gates where. Frantically running around the map, her back wounded, Zach searched feverishly for an exit. That's when a loud, ominous bell sound rung through the trial and the ground shook. Zach's eyes widened in fear. What was that noise? The ground never shook before. The brunette looked down to see the ground had begun glowing red, the very fabric of the realm tearing apart. The bell sound chimed again, the earth shaking so violently it knocked the girl down. The bright red light seeping through the ground illuminated the girl's fearful expression. Was it the entity? Was something happening outside of the realm to destroy it like this? Zach didn't know, she just got up and kept running, searching for an open gate. That's when the heartbeat began to slowly crawl back into the girl's ears. Her time was running out.

The girl hesitated at his words.

Was this some kind of sick joke? Her heart was beating fast in her ears, her mind and the adrenaline coursing through her veins told her to run. Run as far and fast as her weak legs would take her. The cut through her shoulder was forgotten in her haste.

But she hesitated. His words cut through her harder than his knife. He was a threat. The legion is a threat. She clenched her fist as she made her decision.

Zach's chest tightened as she stood up straight. She's never spoken to a killer before, especially in the midst of a trial. There was still one generator left, so if anything went wrong she could still escape. Now was a perfect chance to learn something about the killers. She just hoped the man infront of her didn't enter a feral frenzy while they spoke.

"What do you want." The girl spat, her eyes burned brightly with determination as fear dissipated from the brown orbs. She made sure this killer knew she meant business.

There was the faint noise of a generators completion over the sound of corn stalks whizzing by Zach, the loud crunch of her footsteps echoing through the field. She huffed loudly, knowing the larger cat would catch up to her soon. She ran up one of the large corn machines in the middle of the field, looking out over the area.

She could see Feng Min and Kate working on a generator in the field, and Ash exiting the house. So he finished the generator, thank the entity. Zach's eyes glanced back to the field as she looked for the cat, but had lost them. Shit. The brunette waved wildly in Ash's direction, to which he waved back, jumping down from the porch and walking into the corn field. That's.... not what she wanted him to do, but.... okay. 'As long as he's near by for help,' She thought. She sat down leaning against the old rusted wall of the machine to catch her breath and wait for the killer to come back.

The large creature turned to look at the girl.They waited for a second,surprised and agitated by the sudden change of tone. Their ears went down with a hiss and their tail suddenly started to lash back and lashed back and forth eyes darting between the crows and the survivor.

“Dont say that ! Dont tempt it! You have no idea what-”

The crows shrieked loudly cuting the creature off. They ears perked and they looked back up and suddenly the fog started to close in around them. They heaved themself to their paws with a huff grabbing their lantern as it swung lightly. They sighed and looked around closing their eyes for a second and recoiled and lifted paw up as they felt the ground change beneath their paws. They looked around in a all to formilair place. Hauntingly still,They quietly paded forward towards the new found noise.
