If the sheer thought of going to school is sending someone into a panic because they didn’t finish all their homework or they’re scared a teacher will get mad at them or they’re falling behind in their classes and they feel like they’re fucking drowning and they’re letting down every person who ever had faith in them… maybe JUST FUCKING MAYBE there’s something wrong with our school system.

Maybe the kids don’t need to get off their phones. Maybe the kids aren’t lazy. Maybe the adults need to get off their asses and realize that we’re suffocating. Maybe the adults need to see that the American education system has become more about memorization and shoving as much information down a child’s throat until they pop like a damned balloon, then about learning, educating, seeing the world in a new light, discovering something new - aka the beauty of school that has long since been lost. ‘Modern’ education focuses more on the retention of useless facts that will be useful to absolutely no one and less on the creativity and passion that makes learning so beautiful.

And for those kids that can’t memorize or retain bullshit as well as others, for the neurodivergent kids who simply work differently: congratulations, you’re getting left behind because this system wasn’t made for you. It was made for literally anyone else, anyone but you BECAUSE GOD FORBID WE MAKE AN SCHOOL SYSTEM THAT CAN ACTUALLY EDUCATE EVERYONE AND NOT JUST A FRACTION OF THE MASS POPULOUS. God fucking forbid.

like it's not even the fact that I like shadow and bone (I have mixed feelings on it) that upsets me most.....it's the whole capitalism thing that netflix is pulling, buying the rights to a bunch of books only to cancel them before finishing the story, making everyone terrified of their favourite shows getting cancelled so that every time you become a fan of a show the first thing you do is fight to get it renewed, having plotlines compressed because of cancellation and never letting the story live up to its full potential, putting out a hundred shows a year to grab some money from them before shutting them down....they don't care about art and tv, they just care about the money they can make out of it and it shows

i mean this in the gentlest way possible: you need to eat vegetables. you need to become comfortable with doing so. i do not care if you are a picky eater because of autism (hi, i used to be this person!), you need to find at least some vegetables you can eat. find a different way to prepare them. chances are you would like a vegetable you hate if you prepared it in a stew or roasted it with seasoning or included it as an ingredient in a recipe. just. please start eating better. potatoes and corn are not sufficient vegetables for a healthy diet.

I just noticed an easy to miss little thing. Season 1, Ep. 1, 26:40.

Crowley is forced to call Aziraphale from a public phone to arrange a meeting because he brought down the London mobile phone network.

When he hangs up the phone, there is a little clink.

The sound of a coin dropping into the coin return tray.

You see, in the olden days, sometimes a person would put in a coin that got rejected for whatever reason, and it would fall through to the coin return. People would sometimes walk away and forget to retrieve their rejected coin. Some people even left them on purpose.

It was a regular, expected thing that if you were using a public phone, you'd check the coin return to see if anyone left something in there. It was automatic -- you pick up the phone, stick your finger in the coin return, then dig around in your own pocket.

If you were lucky, you'd find a coin, and you'd use it to make your call.

Sometimes, you really needed to make a call, but you didn't have any coins. So, you'd check the coin return and pray someone had left a coin for you.

Crowley left a coin for the next person.
