The mafia needs an HR department solely for Mori alone bc imagine the sheer number of complaints it would get.
Mostly from Elise.
“Today the boss told me that I should impregnate Dazai because he wants grandkids. This is deeply overstepping his boundary as a boss.”
“Boss threatened to have a girl I like- I mean an assassin- kill me. Also, he was willing to let Akutagawa-senpai die.”
“Yeah so the boss asked me to go to his office alone and it was dark and he walked up from behind me and just kinda grabbed me? It was really creepy. Also he shot my brother. 2/10, still not the worst boss I’ve had.”

It'll never not be funny to me that Tachihara was a spy but he still used his own full name when associating with the Port Mafia and the Hunting Dogs
just slaps a bandaid over his nose and calls it a day. They'll never know it's me
imagine if at any point way before the Hunting Dogs he accidentally used his ability in the heat of battle or something. Hirotsu and Gin just collectively blink at him and there's an awkward record scratch moment, and Tachihara's just... oops, so funny story about me having an ability
I do hope further down the line we get to see him interacting with the Port Mafia again after his identity reveal. More interactions between him, Hirotsu, and Gin please!!

I'm so hoping for Jouno and Tachiahara bonding. Because I don't think either of them are gonna still be in the Hunting Dogs and Jouno would probably like the PM more than the ADA.
Also I'm sure Jouno can help Tachihara figure out how to work with being blind, if he stays blind which I hope he does, which has some wholesome potential.

the problem with reading and writing leading to a strong vocabulary is that you tend to know the vibe of words instead of their meanings.
if I used this word in a sentence, would it make sense? absolutely. if you asked me what it meant, could I tell you? absolutely not.

Thinking about what if one of the monthly Hunting Dog surgeries going wrong and Tachihara returning to the Port Mafia trying to pretend everything is fine.
Feeling like he's falling apart from the inside out. But he's not cleared to return for another month.
Doctors orders.
It's just a bit of pain Tachihara reminds himself, he's supposed to be above that sort of thing.
And yet he feels like a machine that's malfunctioning. That one wrong move will destroy him from the inside out.
What he doesn't realise it's that it's no accident, the government just needs to ensure one of its dogs stay loyal to them.

reblog if you’ve read fanfictions that are more professional, better written than some actual novels. I’m trying to see something

Thinking about Tachihara in the Port Mafia who hides his injuries behind nonchalance. And than bandages his wounds in his flat alone.
No matter how bad they are. Tachihara never gets medical attention. He tells himself its too keep his cover but all his scars are hidden.
Like the government would let their shiny new toy have so much as a scratch. (He tries not to think about how pissed they'll be because he's definitely got scars from these fights.)
"Tachihara, stop you're going to aggravate your wounds" snapped Akutugawa, hiding his own concern.
"I'm fine big bro, a little stab never hurt anyone." Said Tachihara, a lazy smile on his face.
Like this was any other day and he wasn't currently being held up by Hirotsu and Gin. A hand pressing against said wound.
"I called the nearest medics, they're prepared for our arrival." Said Higuchi, rushing back over to join them all. Akutugawa nods in acknowledgement, about to rely the news.
And pauses seeing the look on Tachihara's face. His smile is gone and he shuffles away from a now concerned Hirotsu and Gin.
"No... No..." He shakes his head, growing pale and it had nothing to do with the wound.
"Kid, it's okay." Hirotsu's calm words don't reach him. Tachihara shakes his head, more aggressively this time. "No... No... You can't, I won't... It's not time... You can't make me."
They all guessed Tachihara was afraid of hospitals given his aversion to them. But this... This pure terror.
Gin thinks back to when the Boss has his scalpel out. How Tachihara looks like he's listening, but his gaze seems to lock onto it.
As if it were a gun pointed at him.
Gin frowns, exchanging a look with her brother, Higuchi and Hirotsu. A silent conversation seems to pass through them all.
Something that only works because of how close they are. "Okay" Says Hirotsu, his voice not wavering from it's calm.
Tachihara looks up at at him, confusion breaking through the panic.
"I'll get the equipment delivered, we're not too far from the nearest safe house" Said Higuchi, Akutugawa nods. "I'll intercept it with you, call the team."
He faces Tachihara "no hospital" he says clearly and carefully. The look Tachihara gives him makes Akutugawa want to kill someone.
Because no one, no one should look that afraid and hopeful at not being given professional aid.
Some medical personal must've hurt Tachihara. And by the looks of him, it wasn't just once.
Akutagawa can see the anger in everyone else. Higuchi's grip on her phone tightens, there's a darkness to Hirotsu's eyes.
And for but a second Gin looks downright murderous before silently comforting Tachihara.
"No... No hospitals" repeats Tachihara, he looks so utterly small and frail. He nods slowly, letting himself lean against Hirotsu.
Hirotsu who holds him just that bit closer and firmer. "No hospitals" repeats Hirotsu, gently guiding him and Gin to the safe house.
Higuchi calls, Akutugawa gives some very encouraging threats. And before they know it Tachihara has been bandaged up and is snoozing peacefully.
Using Akutugawa's coat as a blanket.
The stabber would get whats coming to them. As would the one who instilled such a fear in Tachihara. No one hurt one of they're own and got away with it.

I love the hc of the hunting dogs all being kinda addicted to painkillers, but have you considered that their bodies have built up an immunity so they’re just on higher and higher doses?
You’re a random mafia grunt minding your business and you ask Tachihara for some Advil and then next thing you know, you wake up a week later bc it’s like military grade horse tranquilizers or some shit

!!!!!!!!!!
I absolutely love the idea of Tachihara dying his hair and piercing his ears because it’s the only thing he felt like he could change when he was younger.
A lot of the other trans guys and I used to do the same thing back when we still in high school, and it’s a super powerful way to feel in control.
With Tachihara’s fun little added benefit of trying not to look like a carbon copy of his older brother.
All this to say, ftm Tachihara hc is precious to me

I need more of Tachihara being just slightly off. Like, he’s just a little bit too good with a gun, or his footsteps are just a little too quiet. You talk to him about something and then later look back and realize that you didn’t get any actual answers. Even his personality seems like the perfect stereotype of a young mafia member. Everything about him is just a little bit too perfect if you squint. Not enough for anyone to realize he’s a spy, but enough that you would definitely be a bit suspicious of him.

Oh that’s hilarious! I do think he cares about them in very different but equal ways, but I’m also just so attached to the Black Lizard it isn’t funny… so I have a hard time including both of them.
The Hunting Dogs are great though, I love their highly dysfunctional extended family vibe.
I don’t think I’ll ever stop talking about Tachihara and how important his identity crisis is to me.
He spent so long under the shadow of an older brother he only really knew by the way everyone told him they were too similar and yet nothing alike, and when he tried to break free he ended up in the exact same place that Shunzen and Yosano did. Stuck in the military holding up ideals that are too big for their bodies. Fukuchi straight up made him choose between prison/death and medical malpractice when he was fifteen at the oldest, probably fourteen. And then when he finally found a home where everybody who loved him actually loved him, he was lying to them the entire time! He probably went into that final battle with the expectation that, if he even lived, they would never look at him the same.
But it’s so heavily implied that they knew what he did and kept loving him anyway! Hirotsu straight up said, “Whoever did this made sure they didn’t kill us.”
He told Tachihara that if he was Port Mafia then he’d know what to do, and he did it!
And it’s such a perfect mirror to Yosano. They’re both tied to Shunzen in irreversible ways, defined by his life and death and finding homes in people who never really cared about the dead man or how he was connected to their person outside of its effects on them. The ADA and the Port Mafia are both places that the two of them were willing to die to see survive, and they only ever faltered in each other’s presence BECAUSE of their connection. Yosano thought Tachihara had the right to kill her for what she did and the way she took the right of death away from Shunzen, but Tachihara always knew that it wasn’t really her fault and couldn’t kill her over it even thought he spent so long thinking about it.
The ADA never wanted Yosano for her ability the same way the Black Lizard never wanted Tachihara for Shunzen. They’re just so GDJHDJDHDKHFKFHDJHF!!!!
I really hope Asagiri continues this plot point and doesn’t desert in order to keep hyping up Dazai. I understand that he’s smart and cool and his character is interesting too, but it’s exhausting to constantly have every intelligent thing everyone else does ascribed to Dazai or Fyodor “knowing that would happen” or “trusting them to act like they thought.” Higuchi’s ability still hasn’t been revealed, Tachihara is still dead or missing (as is Jouno), Teruko just disappeared, and Akutagawa is still a vampire???? God knows where Gin and Hirotsu are. I just want Yosano and Tachihara to make up and for Tachihara to get more fanfic pretty please…
