Quick trigun thing everyone forgets: vash is a brick wall. He's six feet of broad shoulders and muscle and he wears black and a giant coat to hide it. Apparently it works because everyone's out here calling him skinny when he's built like a tree
I just realized he probably is shit at remembering names and doesn't even bother too much. Throughout Tristamp, 98' Trigun and Trimax I think there are only a handful of times he actually calls people by their names and mostly those are from Eye of Michael or from his childhood.
I can't remember a single instance where he called the main cast (Vash, Meryl, Milly, Roberto) by their actual names. I think he uses nicknames (that reflect their appearance) because he doesn't want to even bother with the struggle and once he does start remembering their names, he doesn't want to let on that he has a shit memory so he continues only using nicknames.
I can't blame him, I am awful at remembering people's names too!
Love being fun and silly with strangers… Today at the farmers market the hummus guy saw my bag and was like “We’re filling that up right??” and I was like Twist my arm!! and we both hooted. Then at the end he was like “By the way the baklava is only half sliced so make sure to slice before serving… that is, if you’re going to share!!” and I was like “Oh I wouldn’t count on that!! 😉😉” and we shared another hearty laugh. I love playing in this space with you
Did a post upset you? Thinking about writing a response? Hold up!
Are you sure you read it correctly?
Are you sure you didn't skip over any words or sentences or even whole paragraphs?
Are you sure you didn't read malicious intentions into it that just weren't there?
Before writing your angry retort, get up, get a drink, walk around a bit, and then read the post again, slowly and carefully.
You will either determine that:
1: The post didn't actually say what you thought it said, and you can leave an innocent person on Tumblr unbothered.
2: The post really did say that - and now you're in a better place to decide whether it's really worth your time to write a reply or not. And if you decide to write a reply, you'll be in a better place to articulate why it's bad.
