[Just a quick heads-up for all my followers on this blog! I'll no longer be posting anything on here, so the one above is the one you want to be following!]

[So after some thinking and realizing that doing all that junk off of a sideblog was probably a terrible idea, I finally decided to get off of my lazy butt and make myself a real, honest-to-goodness blog for Suyin!

So I’m planning on doing things here from now on. If anyone following the sideblog sees this, this is the one to follow!]

With the days growing shorter and the weather growing colder, it meant only two things - harvesting the numerous crops grown to feed the Wei armies, and lots of manual labor.

Neither of which Suyin was very fond of.

"Just one more trip and then I can get back to my reading..." she mumbled to herself, pushing along a cart piled high with leeks and cabbages. She gave the cart one push, then another, before she realized that she wasn't going anywhere - one of the wheels had stuck in a rut. 

Walking around to the front and grabbing the rope hooked to the front of the trolley in both hands, she dug her heels into the dirt, the muscles in her thin arms straining as she pulled and pulled. It was on her fifth or sixth pull that she spied a familiar figure from the corner of her eye.

"M-Mister Xu Chu!" she called, letting go of the rope with one arm to wave to him. "I hate to ask for help, but...I think I'm stuck..."

"Are you sure? I'd hate to impose on you, my lady. After all, you must have so many more pressing things to do, and-"

Suyin was interrupted as first one, then three, then five more scrolls tumbled from her arms. Falling to her knees on the ground, she began to scavenge for the fallen documents, hastily picking them up and brushing the dirt off of them. She glanced back up at the girl, dark eyes doleful.

"...I-if it's not a problem, I suppose I could use the help. This is my fault for trying to do in one trip what I should have done in two or three..."

Hua looked down at the rolling scroll which bumped against the bottom part of her flowing robe. She bent down to get the scroll, supporting with both of her hands and got up from her crouching position. A small, cheerful smile appeared on Hua’s lips while looking at the rabbit-hearted girl.

      “Would you like some help?” she asked cheerfully, “Perhaps I could help you carry some of those documents?” she offered, holding the fallen document in front of  her dolly-like torso.

Ohhh no. Did I really have to be the one to welcome our visitors?

Swallowing hard, Suyin forced herself to smile, fidgeting as she tapped her index fingers together and shuffled her feet slightly.

"Er...W-welcome! You must be on important business if you came all the way out here - u-unless you're lost, of course! I shouldn't assume though..."

Suyin stopped to bow hastily, her face barely visible over the teetering tower of scrolls stacked in a precarious heap in her arms. A nervous smile fluttered across her lips - she was in a hurry, granted, but it would be impolite to rush by one of her superior officers without saying hello.

"Ahh, good morning!" she piped up, standing on tiptoe to peer over the top scroll that blocked her view. "I hope I'm not...Oh..." 

She trailed off mid-sentence as the top document fell from the stack, hitting the ground by her feet and beginning to roll away.

[Ohhhh dear oh dear oh dear. I know the official start date for this blog was tomorrow, buuuuut...Ah, hell with it. I'm feeling impatient, so I think I'll start a little bit ahead of schedule.

So as of today, Suyin is officially open to roleplay! Hopefully I'll get some open starters up soon, but if the whim strikes you, feel free to send asks and things her way!]
