Constantly being loved in hindsight but never in real time has to be one of the most disappointing aspects of dating in my adult life. MF’s will take you for granted when they have you but later come back and express regret and care later. Where was this tenderness when you had me? Why did l have to be traumatized and hurt in the process of you “figuring it out”? People are such fucking cowards. And my heart is not a home for cowards.

Spent so much time operating from spaces of unworthiness romantically in my early twenties that I never took meaningful inventory of the people I let into my life. Always feeling like I had something to prove or that my partners were inherently better/had more to offer than me in some way…Never realizing that I was the magic the all along. In hindsight, none of them ever deserved me, my light, or my magic. Tapping into improved self worth has saved me a lot of additional heartache over the years. It has allowed me to choose from the highest form of who I am. I love that for me. Onward and upward we go!
