The Aftermath

Now that the Geminitay Fanzine is well and truly complete, there are just three things left to do.

First, a curtain call for all of our wonderful participants as a final send off! Keep your eyes open for that, and make sure to check all of them out.

Second, feedback! What did you think about the Zine? Would you want to see and/or participate in any future Zines (👀)? How do you think the Zine could improve?

here is the art i did for the geminitay zine over at @hermitszine !! (you can check the whole zine out here)

easily one of my fave gem arts I've done, she turned out so pretty !! ;^;

had a bit of a blunder with the canvas size which i forgot to double-check when starting !! luckily it was an easy fix :D

the background i tried to do a kind of dredge -inspired thing ? don't think i fully succeeded but i had fun doing it so that's all that matters <3 (not totally unrelated but i am now hopelessly obsessed with that game and i don't even own it yet,,,, i need to save money but gem's stream on it really makes it hard to keep on task hdhsjsjsh)

(btw if you do want to find my other socials, they got hit with the accidental misspelling beam in the zine so !! i can be found on both twitter and instagram @/hoodie_season__ ,, shouldn't be hard as it's just two characters missing :3)

After months of hard work and contributions from 27 participants, the Geminitay Fanzine is finally available to download here!

Thank for all your support and participation, and I sincerely hope you enjoy this (free to download!) edition of Hermits’ Zines. Special thanks to all participants, especially those that contributed multiple pieces to the zine! While this Zine may be focused on Gem, you can guarantee that there will be more Zines in the future, so watch this space! However, that’s for another day — for now, download the Geminitay Zine and enjoy!

it's 2am but i had to get this gem design idea out of my head before that

she mentioned the mountain side looking like a skull literally once and that was all it took for me to incorporate it to the look

maybe it’s a curse ? or maybe she's just cool like that :)))

that does also mean she has no ear on that side of her head so she's also partially deaf

alt version with water which i know looks so weird but it's unfortunately all i could do lol

i did also take inspo from the official design art by @/oxidizationmc on twitter (mainly with the water bc my god,, i could not figure out the water)

okay what the hell

i tried posting this like,, three times before, ALL OF THEM FAILING TO LOAD FOR SOME REASON,, and now that i finally get one that loads and posts normally,,,, it deletes my alt texts ??????

i spent... so long... on those.... three times i had to reconstruct the post again (luckily started saving my texts after the first fiasco) and now when it finally works it doesn't even work properly ugh

i think this might be my finalized design for him, tho I'm still not sure whether i like the more human looking eyes on him better than these ones. i love making him look creatre-ish, but the beady, almost pure black eyes are soooo difficult to make look good

case in point, this sketch which I'm posting again: the eyes look so nice here so I'm sad i couldn't replicate it better for the full art
