the way they totally switched up their tune after rhysaka and I reblogged their post lmao first it was "any indian/hindu who doesn't support us are idiots" and somehow it turned into "why are hindus even supporting us ew go away" like MAKE UP UR MIND 😭😭
Tumblr media
Ugh I hate this account and their rampant islamophobia and hinduphobia.
I don't care what this woman did, wishing death on her for being a bad hindu is wrong
Just reblogged a post where they said we're apparently "rebranding" the Swastika by spreading awareness about how the Hakenkruez is a different thing.
This person's thinking process is just odd to me.

Please don't forget Armenians
Today is Armenian genocide remembrance day. On april 24, 1915 started mass deportations of hundreds of Armenian intelectuals and community leaders, who were (most of the time) eventually killed. Armenian women and children were systematically r//ed and forcibly converted into islam. There were more than 2 milion Armenians in ottoman empire prior to ww1, 1,5 milion of them were viciously killed. Three millennia of Armenian civilaziation in eastern Anatolis was fully destroyed. Turkey today refuses to acknowledge genocides of christian minorities in early 20th century.
Do you know that mass ethnic cleansing of Armenians in ottoman empire inspired Lemkin to coin the term 'genocide'?
Last year in september azerbaijan allied with turkey initiated a war against Armenia. More that 5000 Armenians were murdered, thousands of Armenia families had to live their ancestrial land to not get murdered. There are hundreds of vids on internet where armenian p.o.w.s are tortured. Recently azerbaijan opened a "museum" displayind dead or dying Armenians and kids were allowed to visit it.

Please educate yourself on Armenian genocide. You can also donate here to help Armenia. Thanks for reading!!

Evidence of Ramayana
Everything which exists has proof and it can be found with a little digging. So is the case with the Ramayana. Our elders have been telling us the great stories from the mythological tale of the Ramayana, and the lack of sufficient evidence has left the Ramayana to be called an integral part of literature. But probably after reading this, you might want to hear the stories of the Ramayana all over again, from your elders and this time- in a different light.
1. The Mysterious Cobra Hood cave In Sigiriya, Sri Lanka there is a cave that has been tested by archaeologists to be a hundred percent natural. The mysterious part about this cave is that its shape, despite being untouched by human hands, has taken the shape of a cobra! Moreover, this cave still has cave paintings on its walls, depicting scenes of Sita being captured by the Asuras.
2. The exile locationLet’s rewind the story a bit and get to the point where Ram was sentenced to exile by his own father, Dasharatha on account of a promise that he made to his wife Kaikeyi. Being the obedient son that he was, Ram along with his beautiful wife Sita and his brother Lakshman proceeded to the forest; and the place where they built their cottage and lived for the next 14 years is stated to be ‘Panchavati ‘. Here’s where the surprising bit comes- there exists a place called Panchavati, near NasikIt’s often claimed that this Panchavati is the same place where Ram, Sita and Lakshman made as their abode once they were exiled from the royal palace. Today this place has a lot of temples and is often visited by people.
3. Jatayu’s rescue attemptWhen Sita was abducted by Ravaana, there was a demi-god called Jatayu who came to Sita’s rescue. However, Ravaana slayed the demi god’s wings and he fell to the ground. Mean while, Ram and Lakshman found the now-dying demi-God who was lying on the ground. It was Jatayu who told Ram that it was Ravana who had abducted Sita and it was Lanka where Ram would find his beautiful wife. But alas, Jatayu could not be saved, as he was now breathing his last. In order to thank Jatayu for his brave efforts and for imparting the precious bit of information about Sita’s abduction - Ram, with his divine powers uttered the words ‘Le Pakshi’ which in telugu means - ‘Rise, Bird’. The fact here is that there is an actual place in Andhra Pradesh called ‘Lepakshi’, which is reportedly the place where the Jatayu fell.Jatayu, being a crucial part of saving Sita is highly revered in the Ramayana.
4. Sita’s life in Sri lankaWhen Ravaan abducted Sita and got her to his kingdom of Lanka, he is said to have first taken her to a place which is now a tourist spot in Sri lanka called Sita Kotuwa. According to the mythological tale, from here Ravana took her to Ashok Vatika and surprise surprise- there is an actual ‘Ashokvanam’ in Sri Lanka. Don’t believe us? You don’t have to.
5. The footprints of Lord HanumanGoing by the mythological tale of The Ramayana, when Ram deployed the monkey forces to rescue his wife, Sita. He chose the strongest among them who was named Hanuman to find Sita’s exact location. Upon receiving blessings from Ram, the monkey God flew to Lanka to find the exact location of Sita. Full with power and divine blessing, Hanuman was endowed with a special ability to alter his form - i.e; he could maximize his size to that of a giant or even minimize his form to that of an average monkey! To support this- till date, there are footprints that have been said to be of Hanuman near Ashokvanam. These footprints differ in size and are a reflection of the special powers of the monkey God- Hanuman.
6. Dark soil :A part of the Ramayana narrates that after Ravana found out that Hanuman had come to free Sita, he set Hanuman’s tail on fire after attempting to keep him captive. In the process, Hanuman set Ravaana’s kingdom on fire by jumping over distances and places which were a part of Ravana’s kingdom. Even today, in some parts where Ravaana’s palace once reportedly stood, the soil is somewhat darker than that of the surrounding area.
7. Hot wells said to be built by Ravaana, the hot springs are well-like structures which still exist and form an integral part of being Sri Lanka’s supply of naturally hot water.
8. 10 headed Ravaana Whenever Ravana has to be depicted either in texts or sculptures, he is shown to be having 10 heads. While the statement that Ravaana has 10 heads might seem highly impossible, the fact that he ruled 10 kingdoms doesn’t seem far fetched. 10 kingdoms, 10 crowns. Simple. Another theory states that Ravana was a great scholar and his ten heads symbolise his mastery over 6 shastras and 4 vedas. One of the theories state that the ten heads of Ravan depict the 10 negative senses or emotions in a human being, namely- lust, anger, delusion, greed, pride, envy, the mind, intellect, will and ego.
9. Ram Setu Although they didn’t require a Sri Lankan Visa to travel there in those times, there was a huge problem in the form of the water bodies, that we now call as the Palk Strait and Gulf of Mannar. In order to get to Ravaan’s kingdom, Ram had to cross these water bodies. So, he ordered his supreme army of monkeys to build a bridge between the two lands, and with his divine power the stones floated on the water. With the help of Google maps and complex technology, if you carefully watch the Gulf of Mannar and the Palk Strait, one can actually see a link between the two countries! This link has often been dubbed as the Ram Setu or Rama’s bridge and even sometimes as the Adam’s bridge.
10. The journey from Sri Lanka to AyodhyaVijaya Dashami is the day Ravaana was defeated by Ram in an epic battle between the demons and the army of monkeys. Sita was rescued and Ram along with his trusted comrades took his wife back to his kingdom, Ayodhya. 21 days later, he returned to Ayodhya, and his return is why Diwali is celebrated with lights as it first was done by the natives of Ayodhya, to celebrate the defeat of darkness by light! Even in today’s day - The journey from these two lands takes a total of 21 days by foot, according to the much-trusted google Maps - which is pretty much the number of days from Vijaya Dashami to Diwali.
Hope this helps

We have never compared Kashmir to Israel, get your facts right. Those are the pro-Palestine activists who support Hamas. Also, literally do you even know what Kashmir has gone through? Seriously???
Hindus you don't share the same struggle as us Zionists do. You do us a disservice when you lump us together. Fuck off

What do you mean USED to have a different meaning? It still is and ALWAYS will be one of our holy symbols. It is horrible that the Nazis used the symbol, but the reality is that a Swastika and Hakenkruez are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. It's not like we're rebranding it, we're telling people the difference between them. The Hakenkruez was mislabeled as a Swastika, instead of saying we should let people believe theyre the same thing, we should educate people to separate the two. Because the Swastika is incredibly important in Hindu culture and people connecting it with Nazism, when all it does is look similar, is going to cause harm.
not so friendly reminder with diwali coming up that the swastika (swuhs-theek-ahh) is of vedic origin, and it's a symbol of well-being, auspiciousness, and prosperity in hinduism, jainism, and buddhism. it's still common in nepal, mongolia, china, japan, and, most famously, india.
it's been around since 500 BC, and germany appropriated it, making it a symbol of hate.
the symbol on the right? THIS is not offensive. it's stolen culture. please be fully informed before you make any accusations this upcoming holiday season.

Absolutely amazing. A 10/10 banger of a post.
“Mughals did not colonise India.”
But what exactly is colonisation?
- Colonisation, ˌkɑːlənəˈzeɪʃn: The act of taking control of an area or a country that is not your own, especially using force, and sending people from your own country to live there.
One of the most famous and understandable example of colonisation for Indians is the British colonisation that we personally suffered through.
British colonisation shows interesting parallels to Mughal rule and invasion into India where they imposed their language, their rule and taxed people harshly while putting people through hellish famines that wiped out millions and didn’t provide aid or proper help to the starving population but the only difference is that the Mughals ruled India for a far longer period of time than the British so the impacts are more deeply entrenched in the Indian society.
There are of course “self proclaimed intellectuals” on social media who suck up to the former colonisers and harp about how the mughals didn’t colonise us which my friends is another example of suffering through a post colonial world. The victims of colonisation are so thoroughly subverted through textbooks and distorted and white washed history written by marxist historians that they cannot see through the lies and the moment they see someone pointing out the effects of colonisation they see their world crumbling and so they strike back in desperation to protect their masters and lords who they have been told were the absolute paragons of virtue.
So let’s see how the Mughals colonised India -
1. They were not just invaders. They didn’t just invade India, loot our wealth and walk out of here. They stayed. They stayed, occupied and controlled Indian territories by supplanting indigenous leaders and kings. Lol we don’t even need to go any further, the first point itself ends all arguments on this topic but this is tumblr (derogatory) so let’s go onto the second point 🤡
2. They imposed their language and their culture on the people of India. Farsi was the official language of the mughal court and you can see the effects of this even today in the languages spoken inside India. The Urdu language was also born through this mixture of farsi, prakrit and arabic. Brought in by the Mughals and the foreigners they appointed as officials in their courts.
3. Racism. As I’ve pointed out in my previous posts mughals were extremely racist towards Indians and they had no love for this land or it’s just inhabitants. Even newly converted muslims from the hindu population were considered inferior to the Persian, turkik or central asian lot in the Mughal empire.
4. Destruction of societal fabric and religions - as we all know that Mughals were muslims and adherents of Islam. They imposed heavy taxes on Hindus and non muslims called Jijya which resulted in the slow breakdown of the societal fabric of this country as people became poorer and the mughal court acted as a leech towards the society and its subjects. The jijya tax also provided the Mughal empire with fresh crop of converts every year as many people were too poor to pay the tax and most were tired of the humiliation they faced being non Muslims under the tyrants and so they gave up their ancient religions and converted to Islam.
5. Destruction of religious institutions. Mughal rulers are famous for wiping out temples and massacring the locals of those places. They have bragged about breaking the idols and temples of the infidels of India in their own records written by their court historians. It’s available in primary sources.
and these are just some points that I could jot down from memory..If I were to go any deeper I’m afraid the list will be endless.
So I am linking down some posts I and other blogs on tumblr have made on these topics which are backed by primary sources from Mughal documents written by the Mughal historians and Mughal rulers themselves. Do read it if you want to know in detail about Mughal colonisation and Mughal rule and atrocities on Indians ~
Myths and Truths of the Mughal Era
Hindu genocide under Mughal rule and Islamic invaders
Kashmiri hindu genocide and it’s history
Atrocities by Aurangzeb the Mughal ruler
Jauhar - sacrifices of women in a civilisation under siege
The fact that I’ve to make posts like these again and again shows just how shameful the genocide deniers and the ones who for some reason love to downplay our sufferings are. They face no consequences for it. I’m sick and tired of this…..
I hope this posts helps to dispel any notion of sympathy or delusions for the colonisers of India.

Exhibit 214
Anonymous asked:
hey, its a really tense situation in kashmir, my heart goes out to ALL the residents kashmir bc they are all caught up in this violence. you talk like you only care about kashmiri hindus/sikhs as if muslims are the cause of violence/ are not being killed too. yes there have been migrant killings of kashmiri hindus/sikhs and india has stated that pakistan supported this armed rebellion in kashmir. my heart truly goes out to the people of kashmir, especially kashmiri hindus. appeals have been made from srinagar mosques to muslims to stand in solidarity of the hindus/sikhs. but your talk erases the violence against kashmiri muslims too, a lot of hindus just like you only start worrying about violence when its against hindus, (read the prev article ive linked fully) but have you forgotten the oppression of muslims in the rest of india? hinduphobia exists in pakistan and bangladesh and is truly abhorrent, as hindus are a minority there, but hindus arent oppressed in india, rather they are a privileged majority. after the bjp came to power with their majoritarian rule and policies (CAA, the beef ban, love jihad etc etc.) there have been muslim lynchings where muslims are beaten (sometimes till death) by hindu extremists (the rss and others) the majority (hindus, especially hindus of the upper castes) are privileged in india. india, pakistan and bangladesh are all majoritarian, flawed democracies with policies that oppress their minorities. hinduphobia exists in pakistan and bangladesh and it is truly abhorrent we must raise our voices against this, but im talking about india here. hinduphobia doesnt exist in mainland india. islamophobia does.hindutva is equally shitty and wrong as much as extremist jihaad. any religious extremism is bad for the society. being anti hindutva isnt anti hinduism. hinduism is a religion while hindutva is an oppressive, majoritarian political agenda. your privilege as the majority has made you ignorant. stop being narrow minded and read the links i have linked in the text. they're long reads ofc but please do read it instead of spewing out your opinions on this situation when you arent educated about this. or you ignore this/misunderstand what i said bc you have no reading comprehension as usual and still talk your talk.
The second article is from The Wire
The Indian State Took Away the Very Kashmiri Voices It Now Expects Will Speak Out
While the first article from Al-jazeera passed as a decent primary source, this next article is an opinion piece by one Apoorvanand who "teaches at Delhi University".
Anon cited this article backing the claim in their ask that "appeals have been made from srinagar mosques to muslims to stand in solidarity of the hindus/sikhs". I'll have everyone know, that this is merely the first line of that article. There is no further discussion on these "appeals" in the article. I'm not denying these "appeals", I'm just saying that citing an article that doesn't really talk about them, as proof, is an example of poor academic skills.
I went hunting for a source that actually would give me something about these mosques and these appeals in question and conveniently enough, the only other piece of reportage on it, is again by The Wire, published by one Shakir Mir, a "Srinagar based journalist", on the same date as the article by Apoorvanand.
The Wire was able to locate both mosques. While one of them is in Naqashpora area in Srinagar, the other one is located near Sathu Barbarshah and is associated with ahl-e-hadeeth, an orthodox Islamic school. “These people are our brothers and have been living here for decades,” said Riyaz Bhat, the priest at the mosque who had made the announcement. “We are concerned that any mischief at this point would create fear and we do not want that.” Bhat ascribed the decision to make the announcement to his religion. “My religious values teach me justice and humanity. I did just that. I told the people to become the muhafiz (protectors) of the people, especially those belonging to the aqliyat (minority).”
The essence of the second article cited by anon is that talking about the killings of "Pandits and Outsiders" somehow translates to downplaying or denying the crimes against "Muslims of the valley". I'm not going to sit here and accuse an opinion piece, out of all, for being biased, so my response to this and many other write-ups like this is, "okay, whatever".
However, I had promised myself that I would not make any remarks attacking the anon's intellect or reading or academic abilities (something they did to me, in this ask that they sent), but I have to respectfully point out that backing a claim by citing an article (read: informally written opinion of one person) where said claim is only the first line of said article, is very poor and lazy academic work.
I've attached the link to the article that should have been cited (doing half your work, smh). Anon dearest, if you do find this post, please click on the link that I have for you.
