Reese lansangan’s “An Opportunity to Go to the Moon” 

I think it’s funny that at some point in our life, we’d think it’d be good for us to run away from all the things that made us stay in the first place. People might think running away is such a cowardly thing to do but I honestly think that it takes some courage to run away, especially when one runs away from everything to find peace.

Listening to reese’s song made my heart sink honestly because I look at life like how she wrote it in the song. I read comments about her song and they interpreted her song as a love song but to me, the song was deeper than that. It was deeper than just her asking someone to go with her to the moon. To me, the song felt like a goodbye. Not the type of goodbye you’d feel sad about though, It was a hopeful goodbye. A goodbye that was looking forward to something better ahead and it would be great to have someone accompany her but at the end of the day, she was still saying goodbye.
