Kate hiding and Anthony finding her. 😭
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The closet scene is quintessential Kathony 💜 It’s literally Kate hiding and Anthony finding her because that’s the whole thing behind their relationship. Seeing each other when no one else does because they are the same person. Mirrors. The way Anthony reaches for Kate gets me😭 ❀

omg look 82! every time he held her glance hes silently begging her to not make him do this. ( blatantly staring at her over his bride's head) . when he has just as much power to put an end to it himself. they stubbornly safe guard their own feelings by acting on what they tell themselves is right ( which is stupid but so human) . when the bangle drops and he lingers the stare is just so good because its almost a desperate last chance to end this before their lives are sealed. Kate is almost even more of an expert at guarding her feelings because she wears the mask around her own family ( an indication of how deep rooted her trauma is) but for him atleast he can betray some anger or displeasure but for her the only one she has done that with is him. so she holds firm even when hes clearly wavering at that alter. also A++ acting to say so much without words.
Great comment, anon. I agree about everything. I've read a comment once saying that they have never seen two people more committed in being miserable and unhappy, and it was true. You're right in saying that Anthony could have ended the wedding, the problem was that he wanted to be sure Kate felt the same way he felt, and he wasn't sure (he was also 100% afraid of love, so he wasn't even sure himself if she wanted her to feel the same way, if you know what I mean). It's also why he butchered the first proposal, because in running away the morning after, she gave him the impression she regretted what happened and didn't feel the same way he felt that night. And because of his trauma he didn't have the courage to be 100% honest, pouring his heart out for her. It's why I feel the conversation with Gregory after was as important as the one he had with Violet. Because he realized in that moment that Edmund fought for everything, not only his family, and he didn't fight for Kate, he didn't fight for their love and for the feelings he felt since the moment they met. That's when his love for Kate truly won over his trauma.
And you're also right in saying that even if Anthony showed only a little part of himself with his family, it was more than what Kate did with her own. She was a lot more closed off than Anthony, more used to not show any kind of feeling, because she had a lot of practice in doing that. Except, with him she couldn't. She showed to him every part of herself, the good, the bad and the ugly, like he showed to her his vulnerability, that part of himself he kept a secret even to his own family. And that's how they could recognize each other, seeing that they were more similar that they wanted, and fall in love, but also learning to love themselves too because they were worthy.

I know this is a very wide question but I'd love to hear your thoughts on the differences between anthony's relationship with siena and his relationship with kate?
Sure. First of all we need to take into consideration Anthony's state of mind in s1. The guy had spent almost the last decade taking care of his family, his duty coming before anything else...except when it came to fullfill his duty with marriage. He wasn't ready to do that. He just wanted ONE thing in his life where he didn't feel trapped. Because having the responsabilities of all of his family members on his shoulders was EXAUSTING and he just wanted something in his life for himself and not binded by duty.
And here comes Siena. She was a way out of his responsabilities, an escape mechanism. And even better he knew in his heart he could have never married her, so eh, SAFE choice for a guy who was scared to marry for love. But what he felt for her was it truly love? Ehm, no. Don't get me wrong he did care about her, and I do believe at some point he also believed he loved her, but in reality they were both using each other. Not once he shared with her the burden he had to carry, not once he told her about his father, and she clearly didn’t understand his NEED to protect his family. They had great chemistry in bed that transformed into some feelings for each other, who both mistaken as love (expecially Anthony), but that was it.
The truth was Anthony would have never chosen her over his family. NEVER. Yes he did want to run away with her if he survived the duel with Simon, BUT the reason why he was doing that duel was BECAUSE of his family. Running away with Siena would have been a consequence of that. He never truly respected her or her feelings. He kept making promises to her and then had to take them back because his family came first. And huge points for Siena for calling out the BULLSHIT of her going to that ball with him at the end of s1. Because that was truly bullshit. Yeah, they were going to that ball together and then what? At the end of the day, he would have never married her or be with her without feeling the burden of his responsabilities. Siena knew it, we all knew it.
However the fall out with Sienna was the push he needed to make the decision to find a suitable wife. He TRIED to have something for himself, outside of his duty toward his family, and he failed miserably. He clearly was destined to be the viscount, the head of the family, to carry all these responsabilities on his shoulders, and nothing more.
And here we are at the beginning of s2. He treated the search for a wife as it was a business transaction, because for him it was. The Viscountess needed to have some requirements to be able to carry his family’s name. She needed to be perfect on paper, but also not provoking in him any kind of great display of passion. The last part wasn’t so hard, actually. I mean, he never felt truly attracted to any of these women even when he wasn’t searching for a wife. Too young, too boring, too proper. It was like they were truly a carbon copy of each other, their mothers all telling them how to act. His attraction to Siena in fact, showed us the type of women he was truly attracted to: wild, competent, intelligent, indipendent, and not afraid to speak their minds.
So he was ready to sacrifice himself once again, finding the perfect wife, but also one who could have never fell in love with. What about the woman’s feelings? Well there was no way she would have fallen for him. He was unlovable, Siena left him, hell even his own family despised him, so...yeah, NO WAY she would have loved him like his mother loved his father. The ‘Stay Away’s montage was the perfect way to showed to us where he was at this point in the story: resigned to his destiny, focused on finding the perfect wife, but also pretty much over everything. Happiness had never been his strong suit, even in s1, but in this montage we saw him worned out. He couldn’t find even a little bit of solace in his sexual encounters, because even them became more a routine than a way to find some pleasure outside his exausting responsabiities. He was becoming more and more dead inside, a shell of a person.
Than a miracle happened. Kate came into his life. This vibrant woman, full of life, and spunk. Since their first encounter, we began to see a different Anthony from the one we knew. It’s like she literally brought him back to life. We began to see the Anthony his family thought they lost when Edmund died. And the best thing: he didn’t know what the hell was happening to him. He didn’t know what he was feeling for her, until Daphne pointed that out to him in ep4. Because he had never felt that way before. He thought he loved Siena, but what he felt with her was nothing compared of what he was feeling with Kate. She challenged him to be a better person, she forced him to face his issues and overcome them. And even better: she understood him in a way no one has ever done before. They both shared the need to protect their families, their inability to choose their own happiness over duty, the traumas of being put into leader’s positions at a young age.
He wanted her so much that he was literally FERAL in her presence. Anthony has always been a very passionate guy, even with Siena, but the best thing with Kate was that even if he wanted her more than anything else, when he touched her he was gentle and reverant. She was literally the only one who has ever been able to tame the wildest part of himself. He also did respect her, in a way he had never done with Siena, or anyone else, really. Daphne said that to him in ep6, the fact that his father was the only one he truly respected, or listened to. But he did listen to Kate, her opinion, her feelings, what she truly wanted, they were all things very important to him.
He wanted her so damn much that DESPITE his family being on the brink of ruin all he could think about was running away with her, finally doing something for himself, his family be damned. And after coming to terms with his feelings for her and that there was no escaping them, he wanted to marry her even if he knew that would cause an even bigger scandal for his family, but again he didn’t care. He was choosing himself and what he wanted for the first time in his life and it felt good, it felt RIGHT.
In conclusion, the biggest difference between Anthony/Siena and Anthony/Kate, was Anthony himself and how those two women affected him. Siena was an escape mechanism from his duties, Kate saved him (they saved each other), she was his soulmate and the love of his life.

The Sound of Bridgerton and the musical journey of Kate and Anthony
Welcome back to all those reading! It’s been over two years since I wrote any Music Notes analyses and reviews here on the jungle of Tumblr.  While I have started a Soundtrack podcast (World of Soundtracks) and taught a few classes and lectures on soundtracks, particularly for Jane Austen adaptations, it is fun to come back to where it all started.
This will primarily focus on what makes the musical world of Bridgerton unique as well as taking us through all 8 episodes of Kathony’s journey. They have a fantastic theme which is used beautifully throughout and I was already geeking out about it before I received a request to write about it.
The initial sound is similar to other Regency dramas: strings, piano, harp, with a few wind instruments such as the clarinet and oboe. Yet, the primary focus is the string ensemble in a way that is unusual from the other drams set in that time period. It sits front and center, telling the story instead of being backdrop to the piano or other instruments. Kris Becker and his orchestration team really know how to use strings in all their facilities, harkening to great string pieces such as Grieg’s Holberg Suite, Edward Elgar’s Serenade for Strings, and especially Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s 4 Noveletten for Strings and Percussion.  They can make the music playful, dramatic, romantic, and know how to use the range of all the instruments.
In many ways, the sound was created out of necessity. Since the first season was recorded during lockdown, they had 8-9 players record numerous parts. Many props not only to the musicians but to the music editors who made it sound like a full string orchestra instead of going the chamber music route. In a similar way to Coleridge-Taylor’s piece with strings and percussion which my orchestra recorded during lockdown, using mostly strings and percussion gives the drama an unique sound. The other unique aspect of course is the choice to use both string arrangements of pop songs or to start to emulate that style in the second series. Using the talented Vitamin String Quartet (and other groups in the second season) who have already been arranging pop and rock covers for over a decade or two was a way to set it apart from other period dramas musically and connect to the audience who would know the songs being covered and what the words are saying for that moment.

Yes to all of this!
I am a long-time Regency/historical romance reader, and have been waiting for literally my whole life for TV/Hollywood to adapt this genre that has brought me so much happiness for the small and big screen.
And then came Bridgerton.
All hail the Shondaland crew for figuring out how to make TV romance elicit all the big romance novel feelings that keep the die hards engaged in this genre!
And not only that, but also IMPROVING on the genre. Of course we romance readers love our tropes and formulas, but there are plenty of romance story conventions that I despise.
Here are three romance novel tropes/conventions that Bridgerton S2 and #Kanthony exploded, for the good of all humanity:
Tumblr media
1 - Hero is tanned/darker, heroine is fairer/paler.
Is it because darker skin is connected to outdoor work/manual labor/sun exposure, and fair skin connotes the opposite? But there is a REAL THING in many romance novels about romanticizing the contrast between the hero's darker skin with the heroine's, particularly when they clasp hands or other body parts. As a dark skinned person who is partnered with a white man, I HATE this romanticization of skin color difference in this direction, and it makes me so happy that the Kanthony aesthetic is in the complete opposite direction.
2 - Hero is tall brawny big guy, heroine is petite/pocket sized
I LOVE that Anthony and Kate are so close in height to each other, that they can look into each others' eyes so easily, and that they can (to paraphrase Anthony in the Featherington garden in episode 8) "see eye to eye" so easily with each other.
And, yes yes yes -- Jonny Bailey is BUILT, and Simone Ashley is quite lissome, so the subversion of body typing is not quite 100%. But I have full confidence that the artists of Shondaland are going to continue to do us right with #Polin.
3 - Virginal heroine lacks gumption/knowledge/wherewithal to initiate the first kiss.
Kanthony longed and longed and LONGED for each other, but when that first kiss finally happened in episode 6, it wasn't capital-S sex-hound Anthony who gave in to his yearnings -- but the eternally buttoned-up KATE who took the first step.
It is actually quite subversive for the 26-year-old spinster to be so confidence in Regencies; I am so much more used to the rake/libertine needing to "teach" the lady how to take control of her sexual agency. And indeed, in episode 5, Anthony SAYS OUT LOUD that he dreams of "the things he could teach [her]."
But in reality: the man just teased and teased and TEASED, from bee sting scene to Aubrey Hall study scene to Lady Danbury's sitting room scene. This guy was NEVER going to take the leap to actual physical contact -- it took the "inexperienced" spinster to finally cross that bridge. And thank goodness she finally did.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Can we talk about how Anthony goes from disdainful, arrogant and proud nobleman who thought no one was good enough for him or his family, except for a diamond, to falling in love with an actual commoner, humbling himself before her and choosing her as his viscountess, willing to give up everything to spend a lifetime with her? Or the fact that not even once has Kate’s relatively humble origins bothered him nor does it ever bear any significance in accepting his feelings for her because he has always wanted her for herself and seen her as her own unique and singular person without such superfluous trappings as a lineage or a noble blood?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even though, it’s addressed rarely in the story, there are hints that Kate has been cruelly scorned upon due to her parentage (at least behind her back) for most of her life, especially during Lady Danbury’s ball; the very same event Anthony expressed his disdain for one of Daphné’s potential suitors for the same perceived ‘sin’ only a year ago.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
If Lady Featherington and Lady Cowper consider her lineage lacking, it’s very likely most of the ton thinks the same, considering those two women serve as a representation of a public opinion, and the Sheffields basically repeat the same words at the dinner. To them, Edwina shares the Sheffield noble blood, Kate does not and she has been painfully aware of it. The continuous backlash and scorn has shaped her and influenced her whole life.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Moreover, no one ever dances with Kate nor talks to her unless the men want to get to Edwina through her. It’s a combination of her age, lack of dowry, prickly nature and definitely her relatively ‘low’ birth. If Anthony starts the season as the most eligible bachelor in London, Kate kicks it off with the mantle of least likely to marry and ends it with snagging the biggest catch, the Viscount Bridgerton.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Moreover, Kate’s impassionate claims that she is going to leave for India, that she will never marry and doesn’t care what the English nobility thinks of her reveal that she has been at the end of similar insults and sneers for most of her life. She doesn’t merely negates herself for the sake of her family, she negates herself because of the way the upper society looks down on her and her vow to remain single and independent is a defiant message to a society which doesn’t embrace her as one of their own. She uses her pride as a bravado to mask the pain and seeks a lifetime of loneliness as a gesture of defiance against them, because there would not be a day when they wouldn’t besmirch her one way or another if she lived with Edwina in London after her marriage.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
That’s why when she overhears Anthony in the garden talking about his requirements for the perfect bride, she doesn’t feel merely disappointed, she feels extremely hurt and sad as her face visible falls while listening to Anthony’s description of his future wife because she can never aspire to be the woman of ‘impeccable quality’ he wants, the mere origins of her birth disqualify her as a candidate for his heart, and it makes him just like everyone else, just like the rest of them who have been scorning her for most of her life.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Although Kate had no one to defend her at her first ball, during the dinner at Lady Danbury’s not only her mother comes to her support (which is to be expected from a family member), but Anthony stands up to her and protects her from the Sheffields’ insults. It’s not merely the fact that he does it, but the way in which he does it. The Sheffields are utterly blunt and condescending, yet even Lady Danbury doesn’t dare to admonish them openly because of their social station. And while Kate tries to defend herself she doesn’t dare to do anything that would make them shun or endanger Edwina and her dowry, even though her anger and pain is apparent – in her eyes or the way she throws her napkin and clutches it tightly in frustration next to Lady Sheffield’s hand.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Anthony sees it all  – her hurt and helplessness  – because he’s always watching her and always notices everything about her. It’s no coincidence that every close-up of Kate is shown through Anthony’s POV, allowing the audience to see her from the position where he is and through his eyes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He won’t tolerate anyone insulting her and causing her pain and rushes to her defence because he knows how much Kate’s been suffering since the moment she met the Sheffields in the drawing room earlier.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He didn’t miss the blatant way they’ve been ignoring her and pretended she’s invisible, like some nasty stain which disgusts them or dirty sordid secret to be hidden away, while they’re preening only over Edwina; nor the way they’ve been sneering at her from the moment she entered the room. He catches the way they openly show that they consider her far beneath them and not worthy of their company.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Anthony Bridgerton always notices when Kate Sharma enters a room because his eyes instantly seek her out and his world shifts on its axis, pivots to her and slowly starts revolving around her; and his eyes follow her until the moment she leaves.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That’s why he’s noticed that the Sheffields never greeted her or Mary  – he comes from a loving family and knows this is the complete opposite of one. The dark quizzical and judging and outraged look he gives to Lord Sheffields reveals he immediately disliked them and recognized them for the awful people they are.
Tumblr media
It’s very telling that from the moment the Sharma family arrives in Lady Danbury’s drawing room, Edwina becomes the center of the Sheffields’ attention, yet Anthony can only look at Kate and barely takes his eyes off of her the whole time. Like, the thing that most intrigued him about the conversation must have been the information that Kate enjoys opera, which he immediately stores in his memory under ‘All the Things Kate likes’ file and which he could use to woo her or make her happy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When he intervenes and comes to Kate’s defense (and that of her entire family, which is the most precious thing for her in the world), roasting the Sheffields and commandeering Lady Danbury’s house and servants right in front of her gooseberry sauce, Anthony unwittingly becomes the man he has always aspired to be and always thought he had failed to become  – a man like his father and a man his father could be proud of. He calls them out on not treating her right and not giving her the respect she deserves.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This aspect of Kate being a commoner-turned-viscountess is definitely something that could be explored in more detail in the upcoming seasons, even more so after Jonathan Bailey mentioned Anthony protecting Kate. And what better and more fitting way to protect her than from the scorn and censure of the ton which would be vast because, despite the Queen’s approval of their relationship, as at least some members of the ton would no doubt see Kate (out of envy, jealousy and prejudice) as nothing more than a mere commoner and a scandal who seduced the viscount, the most eligible bachelor in town, and married her sister’s fiancĂ©, effectively stealing him from her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In some ways, Kate and Anthony will always be quite a scandalous couple in the eyes of the ton and it would be so powerful if Anthony became her overprotective guardian angel and avenger, slaying all her dragons (be it literal or figurative ones) that would dare to give Kate as much as an evil look. Kate is definitely going to show their mettle to them but there is no doubt Anthony is going to be there having her back, supporting her and battling anyone who hurts her, fighting her battles not only for her but with her, even more so because men don’t face the same amount of prejudice as women often do and they have better means and wield more power in 19th century society to fight such attacks.
Tumblr media
Finally, over the course of the story, Anthony goes from being just another member of the ton sneering at people like Kate and for every perceived imperfection no matter how insignificant, holding it against them, to falling in love with a commoner girl and choosing her as his viscountess, lack of dowry, dubious parentage and all.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He transforms into the man he has always wished to become and his father had always known him to be. One may say fortunately because it’s clear if he failed in convincing Kate to spend her life with him, he would have spent his whole life pining after her, never marrying or siring children (Benedict, The Viscount of Bridgerton, AU!) because if he couldn’t have Kate, he didn’t want anyone else.

Nancy Drew 3x09 "The Voices in the Frost"
This run of episodes are my favorite! Things with #Nace are simmering.
George, Bess, Nick and Eve
Bess is avoiding Temperance’s calls. She has done a 180 with Temperance and now suspects her of being a “sociopath”. While Nancy seems to have become more trusting.
George tells Nick that she has freed Odette (didn’t that happen like 3 episodes ago?). This somehow turns into a fight between them. These two do NOT portray healthy vibes to me.
Eve tells her story and why she is suspected of murder. Perhaps coming off her skeptism of Temperance, Bess spends most of the episode CONVINCED that Eve is actually guilty. (Once Ace is looped in) they ultimately figure out it WAS just an accident. All of this ALSO leads to Nick telling George “What are we waiting for
let’s get married!” - These two đŸ€Šâ€â™€ïž
They run to City Hall. George is determined and excited. Relentless in ensuring this marriage will happen despite any barrier. But then
after commercial break she seems to have done a full 180.
She tells Nick she is still figuring out who she is..but that she wants to do it with him by her side. They have all the time in the world now to get married so what is the rush?
THESE TWO GIVE ME WHIPLASH
Tumblr media
Nancy, Ace, and Park
Nancy appeals to Park to try and profile the victims of the Frozen Heart Killer to see if they can try and find the other two pieces of Charity’s soul.
Ace thinks he has made a breakthrough and that Charity is the one who has been haunting the Historical Society. Park and Ace have a little banter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Ace that’s incredible”- I love how proud she is. If you watch this scene and focus on just Nancy. She appears to spend the whole time amused and enamored of Ace.
Tumblr media
Ace has a conversation with his platanchor Bess who clues him in on why Park is rubbing him the wrong way. “You know that hot stuffy feeling you have right now? That might be because the window between you and Nancy is closing and you’re finally realizing it.
Tumblr media
Because Ace is always the gentleman and thinking of others, he gets separated from Park and Nancy when he goes to get their coats.
While stuck in the tunnel, Park surmises that the Copperhead had actually imprisoned HIMSELF in the cell. He asks Nancy to try and get in the Copperhead’s head by asking “Have you ever been in love?” Their musings lead them to surmise that perhaps it was Beckett and Charity’s love for each other that had cast the spell, as a way for their love to survive and persist. A sort of lover’s pact.
“So you have been in love”- Park says as Nancy presents her explanation of “They just want to be together forever”.
We immediately go to Ace.
At the end of the ep, Nancy has a revelation that maybe Charity’s soul is passed, not randomly, but through generations. Meaning they can narrow down their search for Charity’s soul by looking at Gettysburg descendants.
AND
Ace sends the text. (MY ship is rising). Ace’s awkwardness after sending the text but before Nancy sees it is adorable

And Nancy's hopeful expression when she sees the text is equally adorable đŸ„°
Tumblr media
Episode cliffhangers:
Bess finds Temperance’s journals and learns her true plans (WHY WAS TEMPERANCE RECORDING THIS ANYWAY?)
While investigating the key, Ace gets sucked into the liminal space
where he finds Hannah.

Aceisms
“Because the FBI is notoriously open-minded about ghosts”

Nancy Drew 3x08 "The Burning of the Sorrows"
A lot of plot happens! Some big progressions on the Temperance storyline.
Agent Park comes to tell Nancy that Trott died due to complications from his stroke. Park tells Nancy he suspects foul play and he questions where Nancy was right before Trott collapsed.
Bess is telling Temperance everything they’ve learned about the Copperhead (the new name for the Frozen Heart Killer) including that they’ve found its underground lair. Temperance doesn’t agree to help but Bess steals the “bait” they need anyway. The ritual goes awry however, and Temperance is struck by “light monsters”. Park witnesses this and is therefore baptized into the supernatural world that is Horseshoe Bay. Nancy is a little struck that Park seems so accepting of the light monsters without a scientific explanation.
“Huh. That’s refreshingly open-minded” Nancy is constantly set off-balance by Park.
Tumblr media
Bess researches the light monsters and learns that you can combat/appease the monster by “feeding it your most significant heartbreak”.
The light monsters reveal an image from Temperance of her daughter Charity. Nancy looks up Charity to learn that she had married Beckett Dow and died at the age of 18, as a nurse at Gettysburg. The scene unfolds before them. They see Beckett Dow use the soul splitter on Charity to split her soul into four pieces, which ultimately ended up in the souls of 4 soldiers on the battlefield. Temperance said they did this specifically so Temperance would never be able to find Charity. They ultimately see Temperance’s memory of Charity saying she chooses her husband over Charity. This is the memory they need to feed to the light monster.
Nancy’s guilt over her involvement with Trott leads her to tell Park that they lied about where they were. Park appreciates her honesty but says she was never a suspect.
Temperance states that only the Copperhead (who they suspect is Beckett Dow) knows how to find the pieces of Charity’s soul
and that is why he killed Matthew Burke and Jake Cazzine. When he finds the other pieces, he plans to destroy Charity’s soul permanently. Although Park asked the same question I did
Why would the Copperhead split her soul back at Gettysburg only to now later destroy it?
Temperance uses a lock of Charity’s hair to “regenerate” herself. Creepy.
Nick and George
Nick is missing, his truck is gone but he left his phone. George is spiraling. Is Nick hurt? Is he in trouble? Is he avoiding her?
At the Claw, George runs into Eve. Who introduces herself as a childhood friend of Nick (well she calls him Ned). George is a bit suspicious. Honestly George’s insecurities that Nick is avoiding her, now her suspicions about this new woman
it’s not exactly projecting healthy relationship.
By the end of the ep, Eve confesses to George that SHE was the one Nick was protecting when he got in the fight that ultimately got Nick thrown in jail for manslaughter. Ultimately, Eve helps them realize Nick went on a “walkabout” after having talking to the kids at the youth center about his past, to the football field where he last played. SO
HE WAS JUST HANGING OUT ON A FOOTBALL FIELD ALL DAY?
Cliffhanger: Eve tells Nick she needs his help because she thinks she killed someone. (What kind of friend is she that she would run to Nick for help with this after all he’s been through?)
Ace and Ryan
Ace my little empath insightful child. “We should split up, unless you don’t want to be alone because you’re having an existential crisis”
Ryan” Existential crisis? Does that sound like me?”
Ace stares.
Ryan” Ok your car or mine”
Ace and Ryan go the Historical Society to see if they can find Nick. Ace pulls security footage to see if they can find any clues about where he’s been. While doing so, he has a talk with Ryan about the guilt of freeloading. We’re really starting to see Ace’s insecurities and low feelings of self-worth.
They get locked in the room. Ace thinks something supernatural doesn’t want them to leave.
Ryan “How do you know it’s not just rusty hinges”.
A bunch of knocks and creaks. Ace doesn’t even look away from Ryan. “I’ve developed a feel for these things”
Ryan calls Nancy for help but Ace doesn’t want to tell her they are stuck
for some reason. Instead he immediately senses that NANCY may be in trouble. She asks him for help in pulling up pictures of Matthew Burke’s (the first frozen heart victim) tent. She recalls that his nightmares seemed to be about a battlefield and can’t help but wonder if it is related to her new found knowledge of what happened to Charity.
Ace says he didn’t tell Nancy they were stuck because he was “tired of leaning on other people to fix his messes for him”. Ace WHEN? Ace has almost ALWAYS been the one to drop everything for everyone else so it breaks my heart that he is seeing himself as some sort of anchor holding everyone else down.
Ryan “Hey! Whatever is going on in your life OR WITH NANCY, don’t take it out on me, okay”
Ace “It’s not about Nancy”
Ryan “Keep telling yourself that”.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These feelings of insecurity that keep arising in Ace, could they be related to his growing feelings for Nancy. Feelings that he’s not even aware of? He hasn’t even allowed himself to think of that as a possibility because he doesn’t see himself as good enough?
Ryan and Ace ultimately work together to figure out what the supernatural being at the Historical Society is trying to tell them and they are set free.
Aceisms
See all of above. He and Ryan are great together. More please.

The morning after her sister's ruined wedding (which she feels responsible for ) and yet she is just laying in bed fantasizing about their kiss
Literally the first thing she asks when she wakes up from the accident is whether Anthony had come to see her.
Girl was definitely just as obsessed.
I know we focus a lot on Anthony’s obsessed behavior when it comes to Kate, but Kate was as much obsessed as him (she was just better at hiding it). Let’s delve deep into it:
It took her just a ride in the park to follow him around obsessively at the conservative’s ball. Like for real, girl couldn’t stop looking at him. She even followed him outside, that’s how much she was obsessed by him.
The look she gave him toward the end of ep2. Like that was a longing look, because despite telling herself she hated him, he was the worst and so on, she felt that damn pull too. And once he looked away, focusing back on Edwina, she couldn’t stand it, so much that she left the room in such a hurry, it almost caused a scene.
Her enjoyment when her and Anthony were alone in the woods trying to retrieve their balls from the mud in ep3. She tried to not let him notice, smiling when he wasn’t looking but it was there.
That damn look she sent him when he was about to propose to Edwina at the dinner in ep3. She was on the verge of tears, guys. And she didn’t touch her dinner until the moment he didn’t propose. Then she ate after releasing a sight of relief.
Her watching with yearning both Anthony asking Edwina to dance and later them on the dance floor in ep4.
Her dreaming of their moments in the woods and their almost kiss in the library at the beginning of ep5, she was so overcome she had to literally fan herself.
The way Lady D. had to literally force her to go on a walk with Dorset and then the moment she realized Anthony was looking at them, she was all: ‘i’m having so much fun! Dorset is the best ever!’
Dorset giving her an hand to help her out of the boat, and Kate NOT noticing because she was completely focused on Anthony.
Kate saying: ‘I did not ask for this. To be plagued by these feelings. Hiding from my sister. Being driven to distraction every time you enter the room.‘
Kate being so nervous during the wedding she couldn’t stop touching the bangle, so much that it fell off.
Kate literally running away from Anthony in ep6. That was extremely funny but also showed to us that she didnïżœïżœïżœt trust herself in his presence anymore. In fact at the end of the episode, when they were alone again, she basically jumped his bones, kissing him passionately.
Her dreaming of their kiss, touching her lips, and getting extremely excited about it.
Their dance at the Bridgerton’s house. When it was over she didn’t know how to act anymore, so much that she began spinning on her own.
The nervousness when she realized that her and Anthony were alone together in the garden. Again she didn’t trust herself anymore, and since she was nervous she began to argue with him.
Kate saying again: ‘It has been you. It has been you this entire time. Spinning my world off its axis, making me reconsider everything I have ever told myself.‘ We always talk about Anthony’s lines but Kate had a bunch of great lines too.
Kate basically deciding that she had enough and she just wanted him to teach her all the ways a lady could be seduced.
Her freaking out later because well she couldn’t believe what she felt that night and how wild she had been.
Kate asking immediately about Anthony after waking up from her accident.
The way she couldn’t stop looking at him at the Featherington’s ball.
At the end of their dance she wanted to kiss him so badly, despite being in front of the entire ton, including the Queen.
Kate jumping his bones again after the second proposal, kissing him passionately once again.
The fact that she said that her duties were particular important to her after having sex for six hours with her husband, makes me think girl got even more horny after marriage.
In conclusion: they are BOTH obsessed with each other. And we love to see it.

Nancy Drew 3x07 "The Gambit of the Tangled Souls"
This episode is comedic gold..mixed in with a lot of heartbreak for Bess and resolution of a multi-season plotline for George. Very little progression on season long plot.
Nancy and Bess are exploring the tunnel. Ace bursts in to tell them that they have a limited window to get the soul splitter from Bobbsey’s locker because the cops are on their way to search it too. Nancy calls her handy Dad lawyer to try and delay the search.
Tumblr media
“You broke up with Amanda?”
“She broke up with me”
“I’m sorry I didn’t know”- I think she wants to be sorry but...
This ep is sooo good. The Carson and Ryan content we get from the Juvenescence Elixir. Add in Ace. And in #Nace as parents.
Tumblr media
Bess is putting off her love life and newly found relationship with Addy because they really only have this small window to try the soul splitter on George and they have only begun to understand how it works.
Carson and Ryan are not helping speed things along
Tumblr media
Ace: Holy balls I have so many questions. Is that the 302 or the 390?
Nancy; “I told you to come straight home”
TELL ME THEY ARE NOT PARENTS IN THIS SCENE.
Tumblr media
Ryan: “Wait, what is your last name?”- Never change show.
Ace: “Don’t worry I speak the language. Hey, dude where’s my Carson?” đŸ€Šâ€â™€ïž
Tumblr media
mMARRIED PARENTS
Waiting for the soul-splitter, George passes out. Apparently Bess gave her some potion in preparation that would separate her soul from her body but if they don’t find the soul splitter soon
well
it’s bad.
Nancy arrives in time with the soul splitter. But
it doesn’t work as planned. This soul splitter is a knock off, after all, and Bess hasn’t had all the time in the world to research this. They DO make the connection that Beckett Dow’s initials on this match the initials of the lock on the killer’s cage.
Ace tying Carson’s tie (HELP ME why does this make me weak)
Nancy conveniently finds instructions for the soul splitter in the cell. Unfortunately, she learns that this model of soul splitter isn’t to separate two souls but to split one soul, in this case that means they will need to destroy Odette’s soul to get George’s soul back in the body (Just take my word for it).
Nancy tells Bess that they need to help Odette move on. Her soul deserves rest. Having Bess be the one to literally smash Odette’s soul was
harsh though. That seemed unnecessarily cruel. Couldn’t they have Nancy do it?
Ace’s parenting gig makes him call his Mom. HAHA
And of course we get this gem of a scene at the end. This episode really DELIVERED
Tumblr media
Episode cliffhanger- George is trying to call Nick to tell him the good news (that she’s not gonna die in less than 10 years) but
Ace answers the phone and tells them that..Nick has disappeared!
Aceisms- See above.

Nancy Drew 3x06 "The Myth of the Ensnared Hunter"
Nancy is tracking Trott’s childhood newspaper route (how she knows that is how he found the Frozen Heart Killer I’m not sure). She’s calling Hannah for help who never seems to call her back (I obviously missed this in my first watch).
Nancy calls for a group meeting but

George and Bess are off to manifest a goddess (aka figure out a way to separate her and Odette’s souls

.Ace is on a “personal mission”

.Nick can’t leave the youth center
So Nancy is left with Ryan
Ryan asking Nancy to tell some stories from her childhood crime-solving days is super cute. Someone should tell Ryan that her childhood adventures have been meticulously chronicled in a famous book franchise.
In turn, Nancy asks Ryan to tell her about Lucy. 😍
Tumblr media
When they get to the cite that Nancy suspects has the hidden cell where the Frozen Heart Killer had been hidden, Ryan falls through a sinkhole into the underground tunnel. They find the cage and Nancy is surprised to learn that the killer HAS in fact been coming back on a regular basis.
They meet the guy face to face. He seems more interested in the doll Nancy found in the cell than in either Nancy or Ryan so they are able to escape. They find their way through the tunnels until they come out in
.the Historical Society.
Tumblr media
All of this leads Nancy to suspect that the victims are not random but chosen very specifically. There must be something in common between the victims.
Ace
Ace’s “personal mission” was to testify against Bobbsey. Apparently Carson is now able to be Ace’s lawyer despite NOT being able to last week. Ace’s parents show up at the police station and Ace finds out that someone had thrown a brick with “rat” written on it through his bedroom window.
“Forget me. I want my parents protected”- My selfless hero.
Carson advises Ace to find Bobbsey. Right now he is at risk of going to jail unless he can offer up Bobbsey.
Enter Amanda. (I almost forgot they were still dating). Ace tells Amanda about his interactions with her Dad, and that he may be on the hook for one of her Dad’s recent assaults. He tries to appeal to Amanda for help in finding Bertram and turning him in. Amanda doesn’t know where her Dad is and wouldn’t give him up even if she did.
We soon realize she is lying though as her next scene shows her bringing Bertram groceries while he’s at the boat. She appeals to him to turn himself in. She doesn’t even mention Ace and that by NOT turning himself in he is putting her boyfriend at risk.
BUUUTTT, Ace KNEW Amanda was lying and had her followed (gasp). THHEEENNN Amanda claims she knew Ace would follow her all along, this was her way to turn her Dad in without her Dad thinking it was her. (Kinda sneaky
and I don’t know if I believe her). Amanda ALSO gives Ace a key to her Dad’s locker which has all his relics
where he may be able to find the soul splitter George needs.
Despite saying she knew what Ace would do, Amanda is still hurt by Ace’s decision.
“You know what your problem is? You always think that you’re the good guy”.
Tumblr media
George and Bess and Nick
Nick is giving George the cold shoulder after her visit to George Sr. Or at least George thinks he is. George, meanwhile, is inspired by her visit, which reminded her of all she's had to fight for in her life, to keep fighting and to not accept her fate.
Bess and George go the historical society and they find an interesting book of Hannah’s given to her by “Father Jonathan” who appears to be an expert in “soul entwinement” He delivers the bad news that all the “soul splitters” were destroyed because modern clergy didn’t like that they were created with dark magic. He also drops a name “Beckett Dow” who designed his own version of soul splitter sometime during the Civil War.
George and Nick finally have a good talk where George tells Nick that he needs to wait for her to be ready to talk to him and not take it personally. It’s a good and healthy talk. Probably the healthiest talk I’ve seen between the two of them.
Episode cliffhanger- The group see footage of Hannah going into the underground tunnel with the key that released the killer!

Nancy Drew 3x05 "The Vision of the Birchwood Prisoner"
Nancy
Nancy tells Park that they should consider Temperance as a person of interest in the murders. She also confronts him about potentially avoiding her since their narrow escape from death together.
Tumblr media
OK but HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU AND ACE SAVED EACH OTHER? Maybe Nancy is projecting here.
The cafe owner being killed while Trott was in custody casts doubt on his arrest and the DA decides NOT to press charges. Nancy feels called to try and find evidence to keep Trott in jail.
Nancy goes to Bess and Temperance to try and help her “see the case from a birds’ eye view”. She’s hoping something from Temperance’s book of spells may help her get a better perspective of this case. Temperance suggests putting a spell on Trott’s memories, which would require distracting Park. A task Nancy thinks will be challenging but Temperance seems to solve quickly. Nancy is a little jealous of the attention Temperance seems to be getting from Park. She wants to think that she alone has impressed him.
Team NaTempBess! Bess distracts Park at Icarus Hall. They run into Kegstand
and Bess can’t help but notice the missing heart. Park and Bess go to bury Kegstand. Bess confronts Temperance about Kegstand. Temperance tells Bess she resurrected Kegstand to try and get his memories so she could learn more about the Frozen Heart Killer.
Nancy and Temperance go into Trott’s memories. They see Trott as a 10-year old, coming across a supernatural killer who freezes people’s and creature’s hearts just be touching them before ripping the hearts out. Trott was inspired by this and spent his life trying to replicate it but could never master the technique.
Shortly after they leave Trott, he collapses. Nancy is worried that their memory weave has caused his stroke. Her distress leads her to open up to, the one person she is always able to be vulnerable with....
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ace
Carson is questioning Ace about his involvement with the Bobbsey’s. Carson tells Ace he should go to the police, and to bring his Dad. Ace goes into a protective spiral. He doesn’t want to get his Dad involved because he knows he won’t react well and that this will all be further stress on his Mom who has a heart condition. So of course Ace takes everything upon himself.
Ace spots the chocolate that looks just like the deliveries he had been asked to make. (As an aside, why is Carson telling Ace so much about this case when he told him he can’t be his lawyer- I’m not a lawyer but this seems like maybe breaching some professional boundaries here. It’s Ace though so I’ll allow it).
Ace eludes Carson but goes to Nancy for help in solving the cipher. She tells him she’s too busy at the moment 😭.
Tumblr media
Carson ignores Ace’s concerns and tells Thom anyway. He also later calls Nancy and tells her he is concerned. Nancy uses her eidetic memory to quickly solve the crossword.
She also quickly deduces that Ace may have Ryan’s car, loaned out to him in return for Ace taking care of his chore wheel duties. Carson is appropriately appalled. But it’s also super cute that Nancy recognizes the way Ace does the dishes. I know it’s because she notices literally EVERYTHING but it also just feels very domestic.
Tumblr media
Ace has a confrontation with his Dad at the end of the episode and his Mom overhears Ace talking about a “secret son”. I honestly don’t understand why Thom doesn’t want to tell his wife
didn’t this all happen before they were married?
Thom then lashes out at Ace and calls him a coddled child. He goes for Ace’s vulnerabilities about being somewhat aimless in his life, still sleeping in his childhood bedroom, leading Ace to move in with Nick.
George
Nick is left with no one working at the Claw (at least the show is aware of this ridiculous plot hole) and leans into the joke. He is also left wondering what George isn’t telling him when she goes off to meet with her Dad.
Once again- WHY DON’T PEOPLE TELL POOR NICK THINGS?
George is confronting her BioDad, who is a dentist. She sees him taking care of a kid.
“I wish I had a dentist like this growing up”- poor George. And poor very confused Nick who could kind of tell George was saying something important but was also utterly confused.
Nick asks Thom how he knew his wife was “the one” and Thom says “I didn’t want to grow old without her”. 💔 Nick KNOWS he’s not going to grow old with George.
George’s Dad was
really a selfish jerk. I do not stan. George proves to herself and to us once again how strong she is. She had no role models to show her what love and commitment were but she chose to be there for her sisters anyway.
When George tells Nick she went to see her Dad, he takes it very personally that she did not tell him before. Look, I do sometimes feel bad for Nick that he seems to be the last person people tend to open up to but
maybe Nick should spend some self-reflection on why that is? I think it’s because Nick does not excel at being a passive supporter. He wants to actively take on other people’s problems and try to fix them. So
people are hesitant to share things with Nick before they’re ready.
Aceism
Ace going “recycling” to get away from Nick and George arguing.

Anthony had four panic attacks this season.
The first one was the most clear one, Kate getting stung by the bee. It was clear why that triggered him, since he lost his father in the same way. But still, the depth of his fear of losing Kate took him by total surprise. And the way she was able to calm him down was perfect. It was the first time after a decade that someone took care of him. If he wasn’t already in love with her (and he was), he would have definitely fallen in that moment. That moment was also a table turn for them, with both of them realizing they had feelings for each other. And how poetic it was that a bee took his father from him, but also gave him Kate?
The second panic attack happened in ep4. That was triggered by Kate telling him she was returning to India. He wasn’t going to lose her because of death, but because she was going to leave him. He even glanced at his father’s painting when he was in his study. He just couldn’t lose her, and the depth of his feelings (only later after Daphne said ‘love’, he was able to name them) took him again by surprise. He was able to calm down only the moment he could sense she was lying about her hatred for him.
The third panic attack was more subtle and happened in ep6. After Edwina left him at the altar, he stormed in a room, followed by his family. And he was simply freaking out inside. He knew that what happened was his fault, he also knew that he failed at the one thing that kept him together all these years: duty. The reason why he was able to not break down after his father’s death was because he made duty toward his family his reason for living. It was like a mantra: focus on duty, and responsabilities, so you don’t have to think about your pain. But he failed, and now in that room, he was on the verge of having a mental breakdown. And what striked me in that moment was that even if he was surrounded by his family, he seemed so lonely. No one truly noticed what their brother was going through. How many times that happened? Because i’m sure that happened other times in the last decade, him on the verging of breaking down in front of his family, and no one noticing. And it’s not even their faults, truly. Like Kate with her family, even Anthony has been very good at putting a brave face on, on showing them he was always the strong one who didn’t need any help. And because it probably already happened, Anthony was able to keep it together, and recompose himself before having a full on panic attack.
The fourth panic attack happened in ep8, after Kate was injured. It didn’t hit when she was laying on the grass, bleeding, because he was focused on saving her. It hit the moment the doctor pushed him away. He looked around and saw her family crying, he saw her lying on her bed unconscious, feeling completely powerless, and it was so reminishing of what happened after the death of his father, with his family crying and being desperate that it totally triggered the panic attack. He was going to lose her like he lost his father and he could do nothing to prevent it. If he didn’t seduce her the night before, this wouldn’t have happened. It was his damn fault and he couldn’t live with it. He just needed to get away from that room, because he couldn’t breathe. ‘All I’m able to breathe for
is you’ ‘Edmund was the air I breathed’ Without her there was no air. And he couldn’t stay there and watch that happen. And he tried to focus on his duties and responsabilities for two weeks, exausting himself, so he couldn’t think, so he wouldn’t break, the same exact coping mechanism he had after Edmund passed away. And then his mother told him she was awake, that she was okay. And finally finally he broke down, crying all the tears he kept inside for over a decade. He cried because of the relief, but also for the father he has lost. And through that breakdown, he finally began to heal.

Nancy Drew 3x04 "The Demon of Piper Beach"
A good episode. Using dreams to explore characters can be a cool trope (even if these writers tend to overuse it). Not a whole lot happens plot wise for the season. This is mostly an episode central to Bess’s arc, plus we do get the #Nace dream😇.
Main plot;
Nancy realizes she is having walking nightmares with a hidden silhouette. Soon the other members of the DrewCrew, and the kids at the Youth Center, have similar experiences.
Bess has found out that it is city wide. It started in children and then progressed to older teens and adults. These sleep hauntings are happening because the locals didn’t get the chance to make their annual dream catchers at the local carnival (which was cancelled when Matthew Burke’s body was found in the corn maize).
Cue the dream scenes that quickly morph into night mares.
- Nancy dreams of Ace coming to confess his feelings. Their make out session turns into Ace’s heart turning frozen.
- George dreams of her wedding which is then crashed by her birth father
- Bess dreams of the Women in White keeping her out of their ceremony.
- Nick dreams of his youth center failing.
- Ace is with a some guy covered up with a mask and blood on his hands and Ace is worried that he hurt someone.
Ace is the first to come to. He is able to get to the others just in time to keep them from hurting themselves. He reaches them all by phone except for Nancy who he saves in person, just in time to keep her from lighting herself on fire.
Tumblr media
I admit I will never get tired of seeing these two save each other 😇
The Crew are doing everything they can to keep themselves awake so they don’t fall asleep and hurt themselves.
Nancy stares at Ace. She is clearly still unsettled by her dream of Ace.
Tumblr media
“I think my subconscious is trying to tell me there are instincts I haven’t followed
about Trott”
Tumblr media
What exactly does this have to do with Trott Nancy?
(OK I know she's talking about the frozen heart part but clearly there are some OTHER things your subconscious may be trying to say to you?)
Bess confesses to the group that she has been working with Temperance. It causes a bit of a rift in the group.
The group handcuffs themselves to the table just in case they fall asleep.
Back to Ace’s dream
Mr. Bobbsey shows up and we now see why Ace was afraid he had hurt someone. Turns out the injured person was actually himself. It's not TOO hard to read the subtext here that Ace is afraid of losing himself in this Bobbsey business.
Bess finds out from Temperance that her friends’ dreams could have serious repercussions even if they are handcuffed. If they get hurt (or killed) in their dreams, they are hurt or killed in real life. Conversely, if they kill the Sandman in their dreams, they can stop him.
Bess is left with just Ryan to help her. She uses a charm that Temperance gave her to enter everyone’s dreams. She gets them all on the “Bess bus” and for some reason this scene gives me Scooby Doo vibes. With help from Ryan in the real world, and support from the DrewCrew in the sleep world, Bess is able to overcome the Sandman.
Carson and DA Rosario
My favorite part about this storyline is Ryan teasing Carson about his “working lunch”. In the actual timeline, it’s still a bit weird to me that Kate has only been dead a matter of months. I guess if the show chooses to forget that fact I can too.
Later, things come to a head when he gets Ace's help to decrypt some video, revealing none other than Ace as being caught on camera near the scene of the crime.
Youth Center Opening Day
A slightly poor showing on opening day but we do get to see Ryan show off his skills and unique ability to connect with the troubled kids.
George and her bioDad. The subtext from George's dreams are not hard here either. She is worried about what her bioDad could want, and she's worried about what it would mean for her and Nick's relationship/wedding.
Episode cliffhanger: The serial killer they caught last episode does NOT appear to be the frozen heart killer (or at least not the only one) as ANOTHER victim has occured.
Aceism
Carson: “Why aren’t you a tech billionaire?” Ace- “Who says I’m not?”. The length of the look Carson and Ace share after this is GOLD. These two have good chemistry and timing together.

Nancy Drew 3x03 "The Testimony of the Executed Man"
The episode opens with audio from a podcast that has been tracking The Frozen Heart Killer. We learn from this voiceover that Nancy has agreed to bring the podcaster some evidence the Horseshoe PD has had on Joe Kelsey (some other case she is interested in?) in exchange for some information about the Frozen Heart case.
So the DrewCrew are going on a roadtrip to DetectiveCon.
Ace prepping Florence for the road trip is chef’s kiss.
“The only people that I have are from Horseshoe Bay”- Long look at Ace. Knowing glance from George who catches the long look at Ace. A small lip bite from Ace.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nancy opens the box of evidence (because of course she does). They quickly discover the box is haunted.
While looking for a phone signal, the three of them get locked inside the Nightmare Factory.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thank you show for giving me good slow burn moments like this to cling to to remind me you haven’t forgotten my ship
.
While in the factory, they see an actual re-enactment of the murder scene from Joe Kelso. However, the re-enactment convinces Nancy that he was NOT in fact the killer. And it becomes clear that Joe does NOT want them examining the evidence. After consulting with Bess, the only way to stop the hauntings is to burn all the evidence in the box. They convince themselves that they can fake the evidence in the box before delivering it to the podcaster.
They burn the box and are released. But Ace pockets the matchbox (WHY ACE?)
At DetectiveCon, Ace starts experiencing some
symptoms. He’s hot and flushed, speaking Yiddish and sees a woman in all black and a veil. Bess tells them they have to destroy the matchbook but Ace wants to see what the ghost is trying to tell him.
Nancy gets a decent profile from the podcaster. They discover that the killer is AT DETECTIVECON! Nancy appeals to the podcaster’s sense of mystery-solving to help her catch him during her live session. They lay a trap. And it works to draw him out!
Nancy still has questions. Why was Matthew Burke’s heart missing?
The wrap up to this episode and the Joe Kelsey is really sweet, but tragic
what a well done full circle episode. The podcaster had been trying to get the Joe Kelsey box not because of her crime podcast, but for her Grandmother, who was Joe’s former lover. She knew Joe was innocent because SHE was with Joe that night but because interracial couples were illegal at that time, coming forward could have meant harm. This is why Joe had confessed to the crime.
DetectiveCon was fun! While Nancy Drew is almost unheard of here, there are the Fan Fans
A George Fan Fan club.
“I am really glad I made this trip”- Me too Nick!
Turns out, little Ted Fan was the one who had set up the Fan Fans website. Cute wrap up to this story line.
Bess and Addy
Bess’s new relationship for the season. The rebound for Odette so makes me a little nervous but they were leaning hard into how antagonistic the two were at first, almost going for the enemies to lovers trope so early that I guess I will buy it.
Aceisms
