so, yesterday my BIL commented to me saying that, since I watched City Hunter last friday, I had "Get wild" on repeat on my music app and I wasn't literally able to listen to anything else, even when my brain was like "but, how about another song?" (because all songs are now feeling wrong for not being "Get wild") with: "ah yes, we all have these periods."
and my sister agreed.
guys. GUYS. do you think I'm getting a diagnose for two neurospices for fun? do you want the phone numbers? because, four frigging days of the same song inside and outside my head is not something everybody do.
(and I think I'll going strong for the rest of the week too. which might be a problem for the three hours drive I'll have to do this Friday).

of course I had to look it up:
"late 16th century (denoting a boaster): from Braggadocchio, the name of a braggart in Spenser's The Faerie Queene, from brag or braggart + the Italian suffix -occio, denoting something large of its kind."
as an Italian, I'm loving this SO much

considering they used those weapons to hit a diplomatic neighbor in a foreign country, destroying an embassy (they were targeting a consulate, but that is awful too) that was right next to the Canadian embassy, I'm surprise this shit hasn't already happened all around the world.
it doesn't matter whose embassy was, it was fucking astonishingly and it's a awful precedent (that was replicated immediately one week after in Ecuador. but since they're not "first" world countries embassies, nobody is talking it about it, eh?).

BREAKING: Canada has become the first major Western ally of Israel to halt weapons exports to Israel.
Canada's parliament passed a non-binding motion calling on the government to stop sending weapons to Israel and the Foreign Minister has since confirmed that they will end its weapons shipments.
While the move falls short of a full arms embargo, it has drawn strong criticism from Israeli officials who are afraid it could trigger a domino effect among other Western countries.

Even if I didn’t have a solid plan, in the back of my head, I always assumed I’d kill myself.
Now I’m an adult and people my age have their lives in order and I’m stuck here, confused, because I never planned to be alive and I’m so far behind.
I feel like I’ll never catch up.

Grazie

people don't know that helmets with very limited vision that covered yourself very much like the modern motor bike helmet were used mostly by knights, and I mean it as "soldiers on horseback".
your task in battle as a horse rider is charging and literally mow the enemy (the weapon was called a "glaive"), so you need to be fully covered but also, you only need to see in front of you. those helmets would be useless the moment someone takes you down from your horse (and they have a special hook to do that which I don't remember the name now). but also, the moment they took you down from your horse your were pretty done for it, not much because of the weight of the plates, but because the hooker had people around him ready to chop the shit out of you as soon as you hit the ground.
ground soldiers had a bit more open helmets, although you would have really wanted one with a nose guard. really really.
also, they were covered in chain mails and plates. the full plated armor was developed after medieval times.
