“I still miss Karen a lot to this day. She and I became friends immediately. I was drawn to her terrific sense of humour and, of course, her extraordinary talent. She was quirky and fun, and we really enjoyed each other's company. Karen's lush voice was truly astonishing and reached the depths of my heart. We talked about what she wanted for her life and what I wanted from mine. No topic was off limits. […] One thing remains: I still miss my friend.”

i met one of the babies i was born in the hospital with when i was 13. it was the first day of freshman year, my first day at a new school, and she was on my bus. i plopped down next to her and we started talking like we’d known each other our entire lives. turns out she is 6 hours (give or take) older than i am, and we had been in the nursery together. we were absolutely fascinated because neither of us had met someone ELSE with our birthday. she’s still the very first person to wish me happy birthday every single year (and it’s been like. ten or so years i think?) and she’s still one of my very best friends <3
I know its fun to be like omg twitter is dying lets goooo
but its really sad that we're losing yet another form of human communication and years of information because of another ceo baby manchild. I'm going to lose contact with a bunch of friends i've made because of this and it sucks
