best-from-a-box mac ’n cheese: 📦 @annieshomegrown white cheddar shells... put the noodles in the pot and just enough water to cover ‘em, start heating on high. add a hefty pinch of 🧂kosher salt + stir in, then stir every couple minutes until the water has mostly evaporated. my new fave breakfast — #turkishmenemen. kinda like shakshuka but with different base ingredients, of which I didn’t even have everything that it called for and it was still so so good. 🤤 #recipe #ritual: 🧅 chop 1 onion, add to pan on medium heat coated with olive oil [also here’s where next time I would add some finely diced bell pepper, or poblano or any green pepper you might like 🌶] - sauté until softened, 5-10 minutes, then add... 🍅 fresh tomatoes, grated or diced, any variety, but you want at least a couple cups. All I had was half a container of grape tomatoes left, and next time I’d definitely add a can of San marzanos 🥫 🧄 4 cloves garlic, minced + 2 green onions, chopped. - simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently and crushing tomatoes with a wooden spoon, until it thickens 🧂 sprinkle salt and feta cheese over it, then stir in as you make wells for 6 eggs 🥚 🍳 crack an egg into each well, then let simmered uncovered until whites set but yolks stay runny, about 8-10 minutes 🥖 in the meantime, toast some crusty bread to dip into it - Top with fresh ground black pepper and one more sliced green onion to garnish + serve. . . #shakshuka #saturdaybrunch #eggdishes #onepanmeal #breakfastrecipe #breakfastview #turkishfood #menemen https://www.instagram.com/p/CENDeInpOBN/?igshid=1h2dbpae94b8a
