Recent Amazon delay causes thousands of late deliveries to USPS distribution plants. While many customers are blaming USPS for the delay, the real issue is with Amazon.

These are pictures taken after a day of delivery hundreds of packages on the weekend. These were only a small example of shipments that were undeliverable due to the Amazon delay that they refuse to publicly acknowledge.

Two of the photos are examples of how packed USPS vehicles have been in order for carriers to make delines and insure items are delivered to communities.

One way to help is to shop local. Despite being a federal business, the post office does not receive tax payer money to keep the lights on. USPS relies on customers like Amazon for sustainable income. While shopping with Amazon is vital to the survival of the United States Postal Service, shopping local can reduce not only the delays of parcels, but the anxiety put on the customers who are patiently awaiting deliveries.

Another way to help is to send a complaint to Amazon directly. Remember, USPS is essentially a contractor for Amazon. We receive pallets from Amazon distribution centers. The delays at the plants and DC creates a domino effect. Please report your frustration with Amazon directly, as USPS is not responsible for the number of delayed pallets sent to USPS hubs.
