Best Bottom Spot Song in Eurovision Tournament delayed
Hi, folks. I'm putting this blog on hiatus, and the Bottom Spot Tournament is indefinitely delayed. I've been very busy lately, and my Eurovision fever is running very low right now (it always rekindles around May, so I'll be fine). Not having the time or being in the right headspace to do this is what made decide to push back this tournament. However, another reason was that while I was doing research on the songs that ended in the bottom spot... I found out that there were a lot of ties for last place, and I don't have the strength to run a tournament with 90 entries right now. Add to that fact that I'm actually looking forward more to the Best Meme tournament and yeah... I just couldn't. So... I'm going on hiatus because I need it (i'll keep posting in my Eurovision Heritage Posts blog, but that's as much as I can manage right now), and when I eventually come back from my hiatus, I'd like to run the Best Eurovision Meme tournament instead. Having a tournament I'm really exited about to look forward too will make returning and planning everything easier. If you go to my blog, under this post you'll find the post to submit memes for that tournament.

Best Eurovision Meme Tournament Submission Post
Aka submit your entries here by commenting on this post
The next tournament will be "Best song that ended up at the bottom spot", but the one after that will be the Best Eurovision Meme tournament. So I'm opening submissions for that one in advance. There will be 64 spots, and I'll try to keep this post updated with the submissions.
While memes from the most recent editions of Eurovision will be the first things that come to your mind, you could also go down memory lane by rewatching older editions! Or by going through your blog if you are the kind of person that blogs about Eurovision. (And, since I'm at it, I also run the @eurovision-heritage-posts blog, and submissions about memes and posts about older editions of Eurovision would be very appreciated there, specially stuff from before 2016)
Potential entries for Best Eurovision Meme
Epic Sax Guy
Piano on fire
Anual migration of Australia
Ethan from Maneskin looking like he just saw Jesus in the eyes when they announced their victory.
Damiano's leg
Russian grannies
The butter churning women
Verka Serduchka
The whole Love Love Peace Peace song
The actual clown in 1976
Lill Lindfors' wardrobe 'malfunction' (1985)
Hamster Wheel
"I don't have it" (1981 Yugoslav voting)
Manel Navarro's squack
The Broken Glass/coke drama
Ballad hate
Jury hate
One country betraying their neighbor during the voting stage
Eurovision Avengers
Finland going green for Cha Cha Cha
Dustin the Turkey (Ireland, 2008)

Where can I submit for the last placing tournament? Or will you include all of them?
No need to submit for last placing tournament, the entries will simply be all the songs that ended on last place. The one tournament I'm accepting submissions for is the Best Meme one, which I want to run after the Last Place tournament!

Dustin the Turkey
Yes. YES. This is EXACTLY what I was talking about. Some of those entries in the early 2000s were meme gold (and Dustin's song slapped, honestly)

Do you also have the problem that you only come across fun tournaments once they've reached the semi-finals or worse? Or that you have the perfect candidate to submit but the submission period closed 3 months ago? I made this blog to try and fix that problem.
The idea is that tournament runners only have to tag this blog, so that I can reblog their announcement post, to gain traction and that tournament enjoyers only have to follow this blog to see all the new tournament announcements.
Tagging some currently running tournaments I know about to get the word out:
@bestadaptationtournament, @best-curse-word-tournament, @best-childhood-book, @best-overplayed-song, @disneyparksattractionstournament, @bizarre-blorbo-bracket, @canonmisogynyvictimstournament, @lastlinetournament, @bookfirstlinetourney, @mysterytournament, @bestsnubbedeurovisionsong, @goat-esc-winner-showdown, @taylorswiftsongshowdown, @animated-disney-movie-showdown, @thebestestwinner, @bestmusicalworldcup, @guy-in-a-girl-way

Poll results are in, so the next tournament will be for "best song that ended at the bottom spot"
This blog will be going on hiatus*, and I'll be back in either December or January. A long time I know, but I need a brake from the polls, and I'll still be running the @eurovision-heritage-posts blog in the meantime.
Also, while the next tournament will be for songs that ended up at the bottom spot, since the option for the best memes ended up in second place, I want to do that tournament after the bottom spot one, so while I'm on hiatus I'll still be open to suggestions for the meme tournament. The post where you can submit your entries for the meme tournament will go up tomorrow. There will be 64 spots, and I'll edit it to add the submissions. While you can send submissions via ask, I'd prefer if you submitted them via comments in that post, so other people can easily check what's already been submitted. So yeah, expect meme submission post tomorrow.

What now that the tournament is over?
Well, as I mentioned previously, I want to take this blog into a hiatus because I need to take a break, but I want to run more Eurovision themed tournaments in the future, so make sure to stick around! Which is why tomorrow I will post one poll so we can decide what the next tournament is going to be. So far I have six ideas for potential future tournaments but feel free to suggest more if you want.
Besides that, remember that I also run the @eurovision-heritage-posts
