Working with Water

Welcome to the first part of my elemental series! Today we will explore some aspects of working with water like offerings, devotional activities, common lessons, aspects, and more! With all that said lets get started!

To preface: I am a devotee to water itself, I am a west witch practioner which means I work within the domain of water, the past, divination, and psyche! I also am a general elemental practioner and have experience working with all of the elements and their aspects!

What is working with water like?

The verified gnosis depends on what pantheon or historical significance we are looking at, however some things are constant! Water is fluid, represents motion and an unbridled force, but people can work with aspects of water! Water doesnt have a gender (neither do any of the elements) so asking during a working relationship is a great way to bond! Some people use she, he, they, and anything inbetween mainly because there are a lot of dynamics world wide!

In general, Water is primordial, being one of the first elements on the planet to house life as the primordial soup. In general her energy carries this! She has many aspects, from ocean, abyss, stream, river, and more, and spirits/traditions change depending on where you are looking! It mainly has to do with formations on the earth and how water presents to you!

Some people who work with more general bodies like streams, rivers, and lakes have a more relaxed time, learning more about how to go with the flow, tackle divination, and working with aspects of transcendence as many bodies of waters were considered to be portals. When it comes to larger and deeper bodies of water like ocean, abyss, and the primordial soup you will learn lessons more about the human condition, shadow work, and taking on the past.

Some things to note, waters personality is not set in stone, however elements are not omnipotent or omnipresent because they physically exist, its best to call on the energies of the elements before attempting to interact, and this also means they wont be around you all the time. Also, do not be suprised if an element isnt kind to you from the start. In a lot of cultures, elements dislike what we are doing to our planet and in general water may mention the plastic problem and pollution and encourage you to clean up our lands! Its important to remember that to the elements we are simply animals like any other bear, bird, or deer! Remember that you can learn a lot from a distance, so dont be offended if water would rather have you observe nature rather than directly give you answers via divination. UPG: In my experience water tends to be a portal, it is stoic, never saying 'i love you' or 'im proud' simply because it doesnt follow the human system of love. It is billions of years old and interestingly enough, water does rule over the psyche and past and is extremely emotionally intelligent, but has a preference in showing someone how to love themselves rather than giving out the term itself. It humanizes the element too much. Another aspect is even as a devotee it isnt heavy ritual work, a lot of it is introspection and action based!

A good thing to note is water does have a primordial “womb” aspect because of the Primordial soup! Most of the elements will have a birth aspect. On the contrary Water also has a death aspect within Abyss (the darker element) as it relates to death and the shadows. Working with these entities follows a similar feel to working with water itself, however the primordial soup teaches more about the human condition and what it means to evolve, while abyss teaches how to accept our darker flaws and translate them into good.

What are common offerings?

Most people place altars to water in wet rooms, bathrooms, and showers! Or at least near entrances and thresholds! Water tends to enjoy hand picked items, items from your adventures, and things you find interesting in your research. It tends to really enjoy having a set space.

There is heavy emphasis on action, and usually there are types of offerings! Net Positive, Net Negative, and Neutral! Positive offerings are anything that benefits the water ways which include beach clean ups, enjoying the water with reef safe sun screen, and creating a floating fish feeder! Neutral offerings refer to offerings that neither help nor harm water ways mainly is taking things home and charging them in moon light or on an altar then bringing them back, introducing native florals or herbs to a water way, or creating a biodegradable floating offering. Practicing at home in your shower or with drinking water usually is neutral or even positive. Net Negative are any offerings that negatively impact waterways like introducing salt from an offering, floating non-native florals and herbs, adding crystals to the environment.

Its important that you are aware of the offerings you introduce into your area, research is the key, and if you cant and still want to honor water look into how to conserve water in your own home like creating moon water from potable water, creating potions and other things in a respectful manner, and practicing safely

Some common practices include visiting local water spots, clean ups, potion crafting, collecting waters like moon or rain, meditating during water moments like during rain, cleaning up your bathroom or mudroom, enjoying shower and bathing magic, using steam, and so much more!

Getting Back Into Your Practice

Sometimes life is shitty and your spiritual practice doesn't take priority. Thats okay. Here are some tips for how to get back into your practice once you're feeling up for it.

Cleanse and Clean Your Space This is defiantly the first think you should focus your energy on. This can take as long as needed and as intensive as you want or feel is needed. Spiritual and physically cleanse your space. Pick up items, open windows and start your cleansing method of choice.

Redo Wards and Protections Once you've cleansed its important to redo your protection. Cleanse to get rid of, protect to keep it away. Even if nothing has *hit* your protections and wards, its important to keep up to date on them being energized.

Keep Actives Low on Spoons Now that you've done the basics, stick to low spoon actives and slowly build from there. Even if you feel super energized and ready to get into it- you want to take things slow. This'll help you from losing steam..

Slowly Add Back In Your Daily Practice This is totally unique person to person, but dont expect to be back into your multi step daily routine right away. Add in each step one at a time, or slowly so you wont feel overwhelmed.

Come Up with a Ritual Youre EXCITED About You want to focus on the parts of witchcraft you love. Do something you've always wanted to try, something you always love doing, or anything that will make you excited for the working.

Pick a New Topic, Not an Older One Getting into your practice and going to an older topic might feel disheartening. Pick a new topic like astrology, plants, or an aspect of witchcraft you havent gotten too into before. Then go back to the older topic you left on.

Do Some Divination on What You Need Right Now Spend time with your spirit team, deities or ancestors and figure out what you should be focusing in on right now. Maybe you need more rest, maybe theres a ritual they want you to work on.

Remember You Dont Have To Do Magic Daily Dont put too much stress into doing something every single day. Take breaks. Youre still a witch.

I hope these helped. Remember to take things slow and dont let the pressure of getting back into it weigh you down. Magic is suppose to help not hinder.

Description: She's very pale like North like she has no blood, dark brown hair with occasionally grey strips, that goes down her back that she occasionally puts up in different ways normally half up half down. She wears lots of furs normally brown like her hair that's the same color as the fur she has in her bear form. Very sharp canine teeth with tinted dark red lips. Her eyes are a very pale basically Grey with silver specks in the iris. Her bear form looks like any grizzly bear would she's possibly a tad bit bigger than a normal bear. She's very cold to the touch like North, and likes to speak quietly over making loud sounds. - Moon

Residence/Palace:

The Cabins (more on this below) are in her area, but she also doesn’t have a Palace. She has a region, and it’s defiantly more arctic/tundra. It can almost lead into a Boreal forest, but the vegetation is more dense and thick. There are “dry” areas with little to no vegetation, yk what Tundras are known for (treeless plain). Dead organic material functions as a nutrient pool, and adds to decomposition and therefore the nature of death. It is both the Alpine Tundra and the Arctic tundra. Alpine Tundras are located on the mountains throughout the world at high altitudes where trees cannot grow.

She doesn’t have a specific residence per say, but she does frequently visit and rest at the cabins. Other than that she can be sen moving throughout the Northeast area, and roaming about. She mainly looks for stragglers, the dead, spirits, and other signs that would be out of the ordinary.

Kai - I was tasked by the Morrigan to make an energetic/spiritual realm for deceased spirits to be at peace at, or for them to find loved ones before moving through the veil. Mainly for wounded (emotionally or physically) spirits. Originally I was going to make this place in the Astral, but on a whim I though of East or North. Truthfully, I did forget about Northeast and how one of her epithets is “She who leads the spirits of the dead through the twisted branches”. After talking to East, she pointed my direction to Northeast, which we had a brief but informative conversation about what this spirit realm would be, the operation and boundaries. Confirmation cards pulled: “7 of Pentacles, 8 of Wands, and the Empress”. Northeast’s only notes was that the realm was to have snow, or a light dusting of it. The photos I originally had planned out seemed very East aligned in a field, and a cabin in the woods surrounded by fields.

(Still Kai btw), so the operation of the realm would mainly be handled by Northeast, with North and East assisting depending on the seasons. Although, I’m not one of the main leads on the realm, it will still be my duty to upkeep the place, settle disputes, and help spirits in need. The Lower Entities can also help if they so wish. As for boundaries it is commonly determined that if a spirit is being rude, disrespectful, rough and abrasive then they are to be let out unless they decide to change, or calm down. The main thing for myself is that I’m not always in the mindset for intense spirit work, so for myself there it the boundary of, ‘if low on energy, not in the right mindset/headspace, or other circumstantial reasoning then spirit work cannot be preformed unless given permission by the Morrigan or Northeast.’ I’ll be adding photos of the spirit realm here as well for my benefit as well as documentation :).

Tuesday - Ruled by Mars; planet of action, vitality, and drive. Mars is an energy that determines your motivations and confidence. Paired with Northeast it’s mainly about getting as much done as possible. Daylight might not be a long time so prioritizing what’s to be done at day versus night is essential. Be focused, and quick footed as there might be a lot of ground to cover in little time. Get moving, getting started on new projects. Don’t let the day slip away from you with Northeast (especially on Tuesday)

Saturday - Ruled by Saturn, the planet of structure and discipline. A methodical and responsible energy can sweep, paired with Northeast’s cold hands it is a sure recipe for getting something done. Much like Tuesday time is of the essence. Make your plans now versus on Sunday, and Monday. Those are days that people might be more naturally sluggish on. So getting ahead of the curve today is important. Wake up a bit earlier today, so you can go to bed earlier and start Sunday on a better note.

Saturn - With Northeast, Saturn’s energy is a call to continue working and work hard. Discipline and responsibility are so important to her. But as well as being responsible, being respectful. Working alongside death, and dead spirits can be difficult but remember to remain respectful. It’s not something to make a performance about, it’s somber and at times bittersweet. Life is time, as well as the result of life (death). Remember that lives can either be cut short, or can be long. Some spirits have not done everything they want to do. Don’t remind them of their shortcomings, instead listen to them and be a warm presence (Boundaries are still huge though). Being able to reflect on your time spent is crucial with Northeast. There are restrictions in life, and in death. Learn life from spirits, they are great sources of information if they wish to be.

Pluto - Farthest from the sun, and one of the more colder (if not coldest) entity in the Fellowship. Her energy can either be very subtle or very strong, the effects however regardless can be felt and seen. The planet is about transformation, regeneration, rebirth, death, power, rebellion. In many cases Pluto will get rid of what you don’t need anymore, to make way for the new. Northeast can be just as secretive and hidden as this planet is to us. Northeasts’s elusiveness is chosen though, it’s by her own doing. Pluto also deals with destruction, and death. Both of which Northeast rules, or associates with.

Hm his eyes are darker piercing they look right into your soul much like west's, he has light hair almost white I'm feeling, more masc leaning but seems to be more fluid and very assured in his orientations, "a scholarly soul" I'm getting that they rule more over intellectual activities and learning. Like a hawk, they have sharp eyes, determined but headstrong. He’s more stoic, and reserved on the surface level than South or Southeast is. he’s not one to let go of this “poker face” easily, he won’t surrender.

Residence/Palace:

It’s not as much a Palace, as it is a library room. More of a battle, and archival space. It’s personal though, he has a an area for others to meet and adjourn almost. Like a private strategic battle area/office that doubles as a personal archive and library. Then a more open space for birds, reptiles, and air spirits to spend time and commune with each other. Almost like a roman forum in a way, meant for sharing ideas, cultural beliefs (cultural diffusion), sharing political ideas, sharing religions, information, but also just spending time and eating. It can be a very energized space, or it’s bare without people per the request of Southwest. He takes on the more private aspect like West, but enjoys company like South. Prioritizing knowledge, and acquiring it. He likes adventure, but if well thoroughly planned out and organized. Has to be well executed, and do its purpose.

Office/Archival/Personal: It has dark deep red, and brown shades. He’s very selective about who can enter, it’s not uncommon for him to ask people per say. But it’s not on the everyday occasion that people visit the actual office. The forum is fine and dandy but the office is special. High bookshelves, with a section for notebooks of his own adventures and his own history and personal feelings.

Days of the Week:

Wednesday - the day of Mercury, the messenger of communication, curiosity, and creativity. Practical matters, continue working through your work throughout the week. Thoughts, and words flow more smoothly, so Southwest does a lot of diplomatic matters on Wednesday. He encourages those who may feel overwhelmed in the week, to declutter and reorganize. Set yourself up for success and not failure.

Saturn - the planet of structure and discipline. A methodical and responsible energy , catch up on your personal to-do list. You typically have more free time to run errands, to socialize, to think what needs to be done today to relax for tomorrow (Sunday). Refresh your calendar for the week ahead, plan out days to do certain tasks. This is the day of doing, but also strategizing. Based on needs it can also be more of a relaxed day. Do as what you see fit. To work with Southwest’s energy more than I would say connect to his more serious/stoic energy and complete tasks.

4 - Means something is complete or it needs to become complete, joining numbers together to create some form of wholeness. Completion/coming to completion, connection, corrections, orders, working alongside others to achieve goals, teamwork, community, collaboration

8 - remember to continue with the movement of the past numbers. This isn’t the end of the cycle itself, however you’re reaching the end. The lucky but unlucky number. Don’t be afraid of subconscious, transformation, and the occult. Movement, transformation, spiritual rebirth, the ability to swiftly rise above any obstacles or challenges.

10 - Representing completion and wholeness, the cyclical nature of life, constant changes that occur. 10 is one and zero tied together so it takes the numerology from 1 and amplifies it in a new way. This is a call back almost to Southwest’s creativity, and ingenuity. If the number 1 is about now beginnings, and 10 is about completion it shows the cycles. All the effort made together to get to your final destination. In my associations 0 is a neutral option, it means divine intervention in some cases. With Southwest it might be the divine intervention of either West or South to learn something from them.

Colors:

Warm earth tones, bright pops of red and yellow. Reds in Central America symbolize passion and emotion, extensively combined with white for religious practices. The Fellowship is modeled after Catholic Hierarchies, so it seems fit that these two colors come into play for him as well. Orange is a color associated with him as well, a primary color in Nature for Central and South America.

Planet:

Mercury, Mars, Saturn

Mercury - Use your voice to speak your ideas, strategize with your mind. Communicate to those around you for ease of success (know who you are speaking to, and trust those in your inner circle). Intellect and awareness are important with diplomacy, war, and knowledge of all sorts. Southwest isn’t about quick wit (although he can be fast on his feet in terms of wit and thinking), he prefers long drawn out philosophical plans. He priorities his rationality, paired with his practicality to execute long term plans with ease.

Mars - the action planet, passion and determination are what this planet is about. Within he realm of Southwest though, it really ties back to the Roman God of Mars. He had ties to War, but also Agriculture a more forgotten trait about Mars. he make sit a point to have more hidden beneath the surface. Southwest’s energy and presence are noted within rooms, even if he’s not speaking. He doesn’t per say command attention, his presence is attention grabbing. He walks with confidence, which makes sense given how long he might think about his plans (His words are also thought carefully, and worded intentionally). Southwest encourages though afraid to meet their challenges with intent, and plan to overcome; to not quit and to overcome by any means necessary.

Saturn - the disciplined energy of this planet makes itself apparent within Southwest. Responsibility, and promise are important to Southwest, he almost takes like them an oath. Very near to him like north he glitters of white and blue but holds the same darkness that envelops west,-ope I already have a pic of him as a wolf like all of them his eyes are very piercing and likely one of the first things you noticing his seem to glow in rings of bluish colors and golds, a being of destruction and protection much like the wolf fiercely protective of those who are close to him and quick tempered, well mannered like north a level headed leader when he needs to be but quick to snap. Sliver seems to glitter and shine around him especially as a wolf it's like the tips of his black fur are coated lightly in it enough to make light shine off him, associations to the moon (I wonder why) a warriors spirit, closely associated to the sea as well or seafaring and exploration.

North said “that although he look smart, it’s an aesthetic. so don’t be fooled” or something along those lines, paraphrasing right now

There is a pack of wolves he travels with, but he does have a wolf animal form. It’s a blend between the thunder and the wispiness of the pictures above.

Residence/Palace:

It’s very reminiscent to the forests of Northwestern U.S. but also the Canadian forests (Boreal Forests). He doesn’t have a palace per say, more like a secured area that he spends alone time in. He’s an adventurer, a nomad even, he explores and is on “the hunt” always. His “base” is close by a open body of water, unsure if it’s a lake or an ocean. Which ties into his seafaring, and water associations. Tall dark evergreen, pine, more commonly and abundantly spruce.

The most important for Northwest is instincts, and habits. The transit time for the Moon in astrological signs is 2-3 days, very reminiscent about how much a traveler he is. Not spending much time in one location for too long before moving onto the next.

Uranus - At first I didn’t understand his reasoning for Uranus, following suit of his days of the week I thought the secondary choice was going to be Mars. The revolution period of Uranus is slow, given it’s distance from the Sun. It’s rotation time instead though is surprisingly quick. A general consensus about Uranus, is that it’s an individual planet, on its lonesome, and rebellious. Known for eccentricity, unpredictable changes, rebellion, reformation, invention, creation, and futuristic. Freedom and creativity are important to this planet, as well as Northwest. I think this is more of a hidden characteristic about him, but it makes a lot of sense. Although wolves are known to be pack animals, in many modern adaptions they are taken on as loners. Northwest doesn’t and does go with eh flow, but sometimes the flow is very harmful and there has to be rebellion and change. That’s where he comes into play. Forward thinking, and agile.

His eyes glitter like gold a bright blinding light of the sun's true heat that beats down on a day's work, the spirit of determination and the feeling that fuels someone to get up after a long battle or long hard work, he who sits in the deep roots of man (humanity). He has a very lion feel, someone who is deeply proud and brave. A deep lion symbolism can be found with him. He has a more human, animal, and “godly” form. Much like South, the godly form is a form that is very blinding and cannot be seen with the naked eye. He has a sun pendant as seen below.

Palace,Residence:

Savanna biome, with grasslands biome a bit, tall dry grass, clay huts and houses, sun symbolism, South’s sky palace in the West (makes since if he’s Southeast that the palace would be to the West, since to the East it would be East’s residence). He does have a palace, but it’s really only accessible to him and those he personally invites. So it feels like a very weird cultural blend, like he was worshipped in multiple different cultures. Which makes sense solar deities are highly popular, since the Sun is super important.

Ruling, Domain:

Southeast rules over wild life, specifically in the Savanna biome. Fire, has deep associations with the suit of wands in tarot, courage, conviction, control, determination, patience, perseverance, decisions, investment, fruition, discovery, enthusiasm, charisms, independence, passion, optimism

Domain: He prefers to keep his personal domain private, only those personally selected can visit and see it. They are then sworn to secrecy and cannot speak about the domain, unless the other people were also selected to visit.

West is gracious and regal but never harsh or untimely. She appreciates decent formality. Her eyes and hair are bejeweled with stars. There is no true “color” to her iris but I’d describe it as a black-ish purple. Her hair is long but is obviously coiled with very defined curls which are very soft. Her skin is highly pigmented to a near jet black and amongst this I can see glimpses of shimmers and glittery constellations on her body. She wears a type of tiara on her head that has 3 small silver star symbols on it. Her body moves likes water, there is no “structure” to her shape; she is extremely flowy.

She feels like a “zing!” when she touches you. Suddenly, I am highly aware of the part of my arm that I requested she touch and I seem to have stronger clairvoyance after the touch. This is just the effects it had on me, of course. What’s interesting is that she is gentle with her words, her movements, everything but the effect it has on me, personally, is still strong and powerful.

West is gender-fluid but seems to lean towards she/they pronouns and to me she presents in a feminine manner. If that is different to you then absolutely embrace it!

The 3 Stars

On her crown/tiara we see two stars on the outside which are similar to Nsoroma (Child of God within Adinkra symbols). This symbol represents the divinity of humans and faith but also represents getting through hardship and still remaining “holy”. Usually referring to having faith for the Supreme Being, The One, The Creator, The Universe (however you choose to label it).

The star in the middle is similar to the Star within Vodou Vévé that represents Ife, also known and documented as the Star of Life (seen with a snake and rod aka the Rod of Asclepius). Ignore skin tone she has almost pure light like golden rays almost too bright to look at her. South's dress came down and spread across the sky in a over hanging dazzle. She had these wings of a Phoenix with what looked like a spear or sword of sorts. Her eyes were just this sparkle of a sunspot and a she wore a golden Helm in one vision and these rays of light came off her eyes where she looked. Human skin tone would be like a crisp tan - Moon

Palace, Residence:

Residence is high up in the air, phoenixes are high up in the air near the Palace. There is a village down below, and methods of getting to the Palace. There is a side section of the Palace meant for village folk to talk to South about her ruling, then a separate chamber for her rooms and private living areas. There is a large, and lavish ballroom and dining area meant for parties, and if invited you are allowed to enter this area. Although, she is not as private as North or West she still has rooms that are not meant for anyone but her. The architecture of the Palace is reminiscent of the Palace of Versailles. Respectively the village below is not peasant French countryside, it's moderately nice and a large shadow is casted from the Palace onto the village providing shade and cooler temperatures.

Ruling Reading: 5/31/2023 - I pulled cards with the Modern Witch Tarot Deck to see what South ruled over; Empress, Queen of cups, Tower, Magician, Ace + Page + 8 of Wands, 6 of Pentacles, 3 of Wands, 7 of Wands, Moon + Sun (luminary deity), Lovers + 2 of Cups (a more romance, self-love epithet but it falls under the South and not just the epithet)

South rules over confidence, courage, self-love, emotional maturity, compassion, being in touch/flow with emotions, passion, creativity, generosity, abundance, expansion, progression, opportunities, resourcefulness, taking action and charge, strategic war/battle plans, competitive, athleticism, challenges, perseverance, orderly chaos, as well as sudden upheaval and chaos, transformation, as well as love, harmony, peace, diplomacy, as well as deep and emotional connections, and luminary magic

Domain: As we know her palace is high up in the sky, with phoenix’s circling it and living inside a special part of the palace. She has her own phoenix in her personal room, and it follows her into her throne room, meeting room, basically anywhere she goes. She has rooms for meetings with others, as well as more battle/armory rooms. Lavish rooms, with maximalism decoration. It feels rich and powerful with every step and turn in the palace. She spends most of her time in the sun room (last picture of her Palace/Residence photos). She asks to be left alone while in this room unless her brother is visiting from the Southeast. Many times her and her brother spend time on the balcony overlooking everything in their point of view.

The palace itself is very warm, but not warm enough to break a sweat unless your running around the place constantly.

The walkway leading to the palace almost falls off, there is a village/town beneath the palace far up in the sky. People can stay in this spot if they are visiting the South and cannot immediately get up there, or need a spot to spend the night after meeting with her before going back to the middle of the compass esque area. It’s a beautiful sight to see the palace get more into view when walking towards it, seeing streaks and flashes of red, oranges, white, and gold is fascinating to see.

Sunday - day of the Sun, perfect day for unwinding, connecting with your inner self, and if the weather calls for it soaking up some of the rays. Tap into yourself and reflect on your growth as a person, and spiritually. Give yourself the time you need to rest, and relax on Sunday. Near the end of the day try and get centered and refocused on the week ahead. Energy and emotions might feel soft and gentle on Sunday, you might be a bit more groggy than usual. It’s a hotter day than normal on the day of this Festival. What’s interesting about it is that the celebration happens at South’s Palace and people are taken up on phoenix's backs (don’t worry they don’t hurt, or burn - South). It’s not all fire, and sun appreciation and beauty, it’s also a moment to reflect on yourself and the other things South represents. There are certain rooms that are used in the palace; such as a ballroom, a foyer, a lookoff point/balcony, and a large room decorated beautifully typically meant for eating food, and gathering in small groups if you wanted to talk and chat in peace. Everything else is “off limits” according to South, unless there is special permission and clearance from South to go with her to certain rooms. South loves a party though, and is typically seen with a lot of people surrounding her, and chatting with her. Trying to get personal one on one conversations might be hard to get during the celebration. There is music playing in each of the rooms, and the genres typically shift from something upbeat, to classical. A mix of fancy royal music and partyish music. There is no certain culture that this celebration is based off, so there are foods from many cultures.

Food: any and almost all food you can think of, it’s very lavish, barely any hot meals due to the temperature at the palace, colder food (but it doesn’t look cold - South)

“Water is my secondary element, since Fire is an emotional sign. My passion is something that is a deep emotion inside me. Water is life, life cannot exist without water, and fire needs energy and life to thrive. However, the number 10 itself has its own energy. 10 is about completion, something is in the physical world and it’s completed. 10 typically is a sign to start thinking of something new, or preparing for a new cycle. 10 is a more extreme version of 9, it shows that sometimes it’s better to be content when something is finished so it doesn’t go extreme and be potentially harmful. There is a gamble though, sometimes taking things a step further can produce beautiful results and be better than ending where it stopped.

Sun - typical association, not the strongest out of the bunch; typically also known as a luminary or a star. It represents the self, one’s personality, ego, identity as a whole. Sun, ruled by Leo and the 5th house has connection to creative ability, and courage. The sun’s energy is powerful, authoritative, leadership, it’s a commanding energy. Which makes sense given the fact that South is seen with weaponry and such (same with Southeast too). The sun is seen as regal amongst astrology as well, as well has health and vitality. A lot of these connections reinforce the idea of whom South is, and partially what she presides over.

Mars - action planet of the zodiac, ruled by Aries (a fire sign). Energy, passion, drive and determination can fall and under the rule of Mars. Mars also has a connection with the military, and South commands her own part of a militia force (Unsure whether or not to say army/military as of right now 05.31.2023) All about getting things done, being confident in your abilities, and being ambitious and determined to get the things you want. South encourages facing your challenges, however, with a battle plan. Don’t rush into things without some form of mental plan, like a back up plan. Doesn’t have to be extensive or over the top, just something in place just in case. Mars can either be very constructive or destructive, much like Fire and Water can. Don’t get so determined, headstrong, and stubborn that you forget your original goal, and brush off helpful advice and perspectives from others.

Pluto - Ironic enough, Pluto is the planet furthest away from the Sun. Which speaks to South’s wide range, and duality. Although, the planet is physically small it packs a very strong punch in terms of energy. Pluto is the planet of transformation, regeneration, and rebirth. Very much like South’s representative animal the phoenix. Things may not look aesthetic on the outside of this planet, but that’s not Pluto’s goal. “Out with the old, in with the new”. The result of this transformation is to be stronger on the other side. The darker side of this planet also rules destruction, death, and a personal association with chaos. Which this follows South’s path of orderly chaos, thought out menace activities. Pluto can be an interpersonal planet, however it has more of an affect on larger groups of people and humanity.
