Light Arrow

After Link defeats Ganondorf for the first time, the villain uses the Triforce of Power to turn himself into a huge monster! It is time for Link to prove all his courage and beat the evil ruler once more! To help him on his task Princess Zelda gives Link the light arrow. The final fight is truly epic!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I redid this illustration 2 times. I’m still not sure what happened, but when I was almost finished the first time, the program crashed and the file I had saved was corrupted. I lost everything and had to start again from the beginning. Has anyone of you experienced a similar tragedy before?

After getting all the way to the end of Ganon’s Castle, Link has to face Ganon himself! The mechanics of this fight are similar to those in the Phantom Ganon’s, but a little easier. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I wanted to illustrate this battle just for fun, but I managed to achieve a nice composition, with perspective and dynamism. We’re almost at the end!

After beating all dungeons and collecting all medallions from the temple guardians, Link must go to Ganon’s castle to fight the final battle! Ganondorf has taken Zelda as a hostage and has the Triforce of Power working on his favor! The guardians aid The Hero of Time on his quest, creating a bridge to the castle. Can our hero succeed on his final task? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The concept of thi illustration was rather complex to execute. I redid the composition a few times to achieve this result. I don’t know if all the effort was worth it, but I hope you like it!

Epona is Link’s horse. They have a bond that transcends even time, as Link is able to summon her playing Epona’s song on the Ocarina. She is very useful, making link travels on his quests much faster! The hero is only able to ride her as an adult, but he can shoot his bow while riding! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Those special arrows are more of an extra, you can finish the game without them!

Similarly to the Goron’s Bracelet when he was a child, these Gauntlets increase Links strength and capability of lifting heavy objects, now as an adult. The silver ones can be found at the Spirit Temple, while the gold upgrade is obtained at Ganon’s Castle, one of the final stages of the game. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I never dew a lifting pose before, so I asked for the help of a friend and was satisfied with the end result.

Link now finds himself at the last dungeon, the Spirit Temple. The puzzles here revolve around the use of sunlight, thus to direct the light to the right spots, Link will need the Mirror Shield! As this shield does also absorb magical energy, it is also useful against the dungeon’s boss. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I did this piece while hanging out with some friends on Discord. It was a lovely moment to have the art flowing while also having a good time talking to people. I am fond of the memories associated with this illustration.

Once more an adult, Link is on his way to exploring the darkest dungeon in Ocarina of Time. There, he’ll find places which seem out of reach, but getting the Hover Boots will allow him to walk midair! Even though he can only hover for a couple steps, this item is very useful in this dungeon.

A child again, Link has to play the Song of Storms at Kakariko Village to empty a well, revealing a short dungeon. There, our Hero of Time must prove his courage if he is to come out alive! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Another illustration with a dark mood. It was difficult at the beginning, but receiving a lot of feedback from some friends (@geda.arte) made things improve. I can’t thank y’all enough.

Biggoron Sword

n the Water Temple still, Link now has to conquer himself in a fight against Dark Link. It is one of the most memorable moments of the game, even if it’s only a mini-boss battle. If you try to use only the Master Sword, this fight is really hard. However, if the Hero of Time did the side quest to get the Biggoron Sword, which is the strongest weapon, this fight becomes but an easy feat. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This is my personal favorite. There are tons of Link vs Dark Link fanart out there, so I tried doing something different and it paid off.
