Lei's origins can be traced back to Southern Asia. As people traveled from place to place, the materials used to make Lei were replaced, and the rituals and the justifications for them also underwent modifications.
In March and September, the majority of the plants in this garden bloom profusely. The lei garden honors Aunty Coco Leong, a loving Kupuna and member of the Waimea Valley Ohana who died in September 2015.
