nah, it's never come up. I always headcanon'd that it was some real freak stuff even among vampires, like if another vampire saw him doing it, they'd be like "...dude..."

The little girl went to the man, Kauze had gone to work, so he couldn't give the vampire a gift, and asked Kaori to do it.

"My father said to give this to you."

She handed over a beautiful bag, and inside it were some great quality brushes and paints.

"He said you'd like these things, since you're an artist, and since I'm not old enough to do them and my father doesn't know how to do anything, he said to give them to you."

The question was: Did Kauze mention he had a daughter?

[ Ryuuto's bewildered at the amicable girl was rather clear; The mention of her father did little to help without outright stating Kauze's name. Still, Ryuuto reserved his judgment and tried to piece her resemblance together in his brain. ]

What would Carla think of Ryuuto as an artist? Would he collect some of his paintings?

// Ooo interesting question anon! Sorry it took aeons to answer.

Short answer: He wouldn't have had the chance to see nor collect Ryuuto's paintings. It's more of a private hobby for Ryuuto. If he did have the chance? I think Carla would like them, and collect them; Landscapes are some of his favourite, after all!

Long answer: The only painting Ryuuto has "let go of" has been a single portrait of Cordelia which hangs in Kanato's room. All his other paintings are either hung in Richter's manor, or are privately stored away. If you mentioned the name "Sakamaki Ryuuto" at an art auction or museum in the demon world, people would have no clue what you were banging on about. They'd hear "Sakamaki" and make the connection to Karlheinz, but no one would know who Ryuuto is. However, if Carla stumbled somehow upon one of Ryuuto's paintings? I do think he'd like them! You'll probably only hear paintings of Ryuuto in relation to portraits or Cordelia, but when he isn't painting her, he paints landscapes. A LOT. And, with landscapes being a favourite of Carla's, I do think he'd see the potential in them. Would he collect them? Potentially, but would rarely display them... With the "Sakamaki" name attached to them, I'm unsure if he would want to display that or not. Nevertheless, my mind is running wild now for more Tsukinami-Ryuuto interactions >< Cue a drama cd where these two nerd out over paintings and actually get along lol.
