You ever think supernatural creatures that consider humans potential prey have that "cat chases a bear up a tree"-thing? Like how bears, being an apex predator, have no concept of something that's sufficiently prey-sized deciding to attack instead of fleeing, and cats have no awareness of the fact that they can die. So every once in a while a cat and a bear come face to face in the wild for the first time. A bear doesn't understand what this creature is that isn't trying to flee, and starts sniffing. A cat doesn't understand what this creature is and decides to slap it. Utterly baffled, the bear decides it's best to get out of here. The cat starts chasing because obviously anything that flees is prey.

Imagine having an Entity in your home that eats creatures like you, but has never caught a human before. It doesn't understand why this prey isn't trying to escape, the human is clearly unnerved by sensing A Presence but still keeps stubbornly sitting on the couch watching TV. The Entity moves a piece of furniture, making an eerie creaking noise, planning to raise terror in its prey as a way of playing with its food. But instead of even turning to look towards the source of the sound, the human just yells into the empty house:

"WHATEVER THE FUCK JUST MADE THAT NOISE HAD BETTER FUCK OFF, OR START PAYING RENT."

The Entiry freezes in place, and decides that whatever is going on, it's not worth the risk to find out. Better leave while it still can.

It’s rare that I ask for help & I never expect it. I’ve learned that people can tell you anything. They’ll make a million promises that they’ll never keep. They can tell you how they love you, how they’ll be there, how you’re their friend, how they want to help you, how they want you be be able to fulfill your dreams & it goes on and on.

The reality is, no one is there for you. 7 years of a relationship taught me that. Having a child together doesn’t change this either.

It’s rare you find someone who’ll genuinely have your back and be there for you and do what they can do pick you up. Most people offer worthless apologies because they have nothing else to say. People will use you and take advantage of you. They’ll treat you badly. They’ll do the bare minimum for you just so that they can keep taking from you.

Endlessly I have poured from my glass in order to fill the glasses of everyone around me. When my glass needs to be filled, it’s left empty. When I’m no longer of use to a person, they abandon ship. They leave. When they find a replacement, they leave.

I’ve learned that I love too hard and I care too much. I go above & beyond and put everyone’s needs above my own. I starve myself emotionally, mentally, & physically, so that everyone around me is fed. All the while, I put a smile upon my face & pretend that it’s all okay.

I want to be put first sometime.

I want to be valued.

I want to be worth something.

I bust my ass & have little to nothing to show for it. I’ve gotten to the point of begging for help and received nothing. I’ve learned the hard way that people are not there for you. If it doesn’t benefit them, then they’re not there for you. If they get nothing out of it, they won’t help you.

I wish I could act with such self preservation.

I wish I could be so self loving.

I wish I could be so selfish.

I wish I could put myself first.

I wish I could put my own happiness & needs above that of everyone else.

I wish I knew how to focus on myself…

But endlessly I pour from a glass long since empty, only being filled by the rain & my silent tears. Still, I fill the glasses of everyone around me. Leaving myself to starve. Perhaps to death.

💀 Crystals for Hexing 💀

1. Jet: Though usually seen as a positive gem, jet has an unmistakable deep, dark black that renders the thoughts of darkness and cruelty. Due to its solid color, jet can be used for many different types of hexing. 2. Black Onyx: Another, and the last on this list, black stone. This stone has a slightly different color than jet and tends to have lighter specks in it. The stone can be used more for the gradual negative effects or as an icon of, metaphorically, consuming the target. 3. Carnelian: This bright, usually joyful, stone actually has a more negative side to it. The bright orange and red of this gem can be used to inflict physical pain or injuries, as well as bring overbearing heat or sweat. 4. Smoky Quartz: With the look of pollution, cigarettes, and overall ickiness, this stone may be used for inflicting illness, nausea, or attracting smoke towards your target. 5. Tourmaline Quartz: This brutal, yet beautiful, stone captured “spikes”’ within it. With many ways to interpret these spikes, some examples would be confusion, pain, or knocking some sense into someone (which is a more classy way of “hexing” someone, though not quite “hexing”).

Flowers for Curses

For the first part of my flower series I wanted to do something special. I have the feeling that when people think about flower witchcraft, they only think about the “light and love” side (which can be awesome!). They tend to forget that flower magic can be so much more than that. So, here I gathered some Information for you about flowers that can be used for cursing.

Carnation Especially yellow Carnations. Yellow carnations symbolise rejection, disappointment and disdain. They are perfect for curses made with one of these intents in mind. Striped Carnations represents regret and rejection, so they could be perfectly used for a curse against an ex who wronged you badly. Narcissus This is a good one if you want to curse egocentric and disrespectful people. You can use it to make your target learn their lesson - if you use it in a powerful curse or a small hex that looses its power afterwards is completely up to you.  Petunia Anger and Resentment. A petunia could be used in curses or hexes against people you recently had a bad fight or disagreement with (in whatever way). Violets Blue violets symbolise watchfulness. This would be my to-go flower if someone did something really bad (I am thinking about abusers rn) and you want them to feel watched 24/7. This can be used for powerful curses. Every other flower Ok, this is a bit general. But you could use any flower in a curse. You could let for example rose petals die and use them in curses in that you want a love to die. Dead Sunflower heads hence could be used for really intense curses.

These are not the only meanings of the flowers mentioned above, they also have (very) positive meanings. You can totally use them for more positive spells.
