It's really showing how terrifying it is that high schoolers play sports at a professional level. Sun-jae seems intelligent enough, but he went to school every day before Im Sol for swim practice, he probably fell asleep in class and never had time to study. But now he's injured enough that he can never play again and what is he supposed to do?

My high school had OHL (league under NHL) hockey players, they also fell asleep in class and barely passed. If you don't make the major leagues, if you injury out, you've got to go back and make up that time in school because sports ate up your education.

After a glut of kdrama heroes who are all just too good to be true, it's refreshing to find out that teen Sun Jae is a legit dumbass. His grades are so low that even his superfan was like 'holy shit he's stupid'. All this boy knows is swimming, music, being a good son, and staying infatuated with the same girl for over a decade.

The Forbidden Marriage is incredibly weird and quirky and I love it. The 3 leads seem to be in 3 different genres: the female lead is in a slapstick comedy, the prince is in a tragedy/horror, and guard is in a romance.
