Today is the first day of the weeklong strike for a ceasefire in Gaza.

I have realized that I do not think the message has spread far, at least on this website. This might be due to the lack of internet in Gaza, it has been down for days. Not much can be said by the citizens there, it's like some people forgot about them. I encourage all of you to share this post, or make your own, letting everyone know about this strike. This is something that should transcend the aesthetic of your blog. My blog was a gimmick blog, but for this week, it is a blog for spreading information and awareness.

Bisan Odwa (@wizard_bisan1 on instagram) has called for this strike. She is a journalist from Gaza, who has been experiencing this horrid violence for 15 weeks. 107 days. 2568 hours.

THIS IS AN ACTUAL SAFETY CONCERN! Whether you like Helluva Boss or not, if you actually care about trans lives- please don't skip this post!

As of this month, it's been announced that Helluva Boss S2 episode 5 is to be released this month. The reason why this is concerning, is the fact that the episode revolves around the premise of a grown man dressing in drag and sneaking into a high school to spy on freshman girls to murder them. Which sounds like an "average Helluva Boss" episode at first... until you consider the fact that there are laws against the drag and trans community now taking place:

The reason why this is a state of emergancy at this point: Is because the newest episode is going to present the very stereotype that caused this man to be in office- in the first place! By representing a drag queen as a "danger to children" or "predatory." Here, we see a drag queen being depicted as a "danger" to kids by pretending to be a teenager to spy on them, stereotyping drag queens as inherently "dangerous" to children, which is the exact type of stereotype that is contributing to the common paranoia towards the drag community. -and though it may not effect you, doesn't mean that it wont effect others or increase their paranoia. Not joking, imagine a transphobia catholic parent who has had the thought of voting for Desantis coming across this episode since it's out there, put on trending, and on Youtube- imagine how that would impact their vote, imagine the further public paranoia this could further cause if this episode was released to the public in the current state that it's in.

Honestly, look at this and try to tell me that it's a "positive drag representation!" Because even from the trailers alone, Moxxie is clearly being represented not just hyper sexualized, but as a actual danger to the children in the episode! This kind of representation is going to further cause dangerous misconceptions towards the drag community. So regardless of your stance on "fiction", you need to realize that representation like this is further putting lives at risk!

Drag queens are now at risk of genocide in Florida because the public see's them as "a danger to kids!" or an outright "sex predator!"

What Vivziepop needs to understand is that stereotypes arent "silly jokes!" They come from a place of discrimination, and ignorance. It's what they spread, and the more episodes portay minorities in this kind of stereotyped light, in public, where anyone can watch it, the more we are closer to acts like this being put into place. the fact that there are now laws threatening to kill drag queens as an act of genocide in Florida RIGHT NOW because Florida thinks that they're "child predators that try to get freindly with children to harm them/kill them/prey on them." So this episode isn't just poor timing- it's outright dangerous timing! I dont care if you see me as an "anti" or whatever you want to demonize me as- drag and trans lives are now even more at stake, and for the past two years, Florida has been highly paranoid towards the lgbt+ community, especially since it's Pride Month, and releasing an episode with stereotypes that have been used against drag queens at a time where the public is now highly paranoid of drag queens and those that are trans could literally contribute to the votes towards a man that is now attempting to cause a law that could mean the end of being openly lgbt+ in America- as a whole. This effects all of us! Everyone is harmed by lgbt+ and poc stereotypes- everyone! Please dont skip this!

Florida has now had repeated cases of violence towards the trans and drag community, and now they're targetting their rights as an attempt to force them into death row for being androygnous.

A literal minority genocide waiting to happen.

So really, the last thing you'd want to do, is to release an episode of a show depicting a drag queen as a "danger to kids!" at a time where the public is now trying to kill drag queens because they think of them as just that- a "danger" to children! Scene at 1:24

-and I get liking lgbt+ porn, but it's coming to a point where im starting to see so many dangerous stereotypes and fetishization on Twitter alone (this will be further mentioned in my next video) that this has now gone from "this show is offensive!" to "This show is showing stereotypes that have literally contributed to real life deaths of minorities!" The fact that Vivziepop is releasing this episode this year despite the news of this new law being widespread could potientially spread further panic amoung both consersative and lgbt+ social media alike, not just "Oh, the transphobes will be offended!" but "They're going to use shows like this as an excuse to demonize the trans community and drag queens at a time where America's law is literally trying to kill them!"

They're depicting a drag queen, in 2023, a year where Florida is trying to cause genocide to the trans and drag community since they see them as a "danger" to children! When they're not! -and presenting these stereotypes in public at a time where the world is already highly paranoid towards drag queens being around children, at all, and see drag or being trans as a "fetish that's dangerous to kids!" as a "danger" to children, is actually putting queer lives at risk! So though I get that you're excited for the latest episode, but this is actually the worst time to release media like this- the public has been highly paranoid towards the drag and trans community, and releasing an episode like this at this time with these kinds of stereotypes, I dont know if you understand this since so many of you are so young, but this could spread actual danger to these communities!

Your love of a cartoon is not more important than the lives of those around you! This goes for those many of you have harassed in the fandom as well. Stop disregarding human lives over a cartoon! These kinds of stereotypes have been contributing to the discrimination against the trans and drag community for decades, and right now, at a time where trans lives and drag queens are more at risk than ever before, there needs to be a caution towards how we treat lgbt+ representation. We need to do more research, we need to be cautious, for the sake of our safety we need to care, because the more you support these kinds of stereotypes, the more you're causing more votes to put this man into office! He's trying to become our president, this could actually put us in danger, stop representing lgbt+ this way! I understanding liking villains, but presenting us in a derogatory light will only hurt lgbt+ lives!

This isn't "old news." These are bills that are currently being put into Florida law that can severely injure or even kill real people in the lgbt+ community! It's becoming less and less safe to be out once again, so please dont release this episode so soon! Please dont release this episode at a time where drag queens are now being highly perceived as "a danger to children!" around the world! Please put genuine care into your representation, for the sake of the safety and protection of our community the least you can do is be more careful! Please be patient, im begging at this point, for the sake of the lgbt+ community and our safety please stop encouraging the use of these stereotypes and remember to boost this post as much as you can!

Am I the only one who didn't feel bad for Stolas at all since the last episode? I just felt nothing. Absolutely nothing. Nothing made me feel bad for Stolas in the slightest. It's as if I don't really care about him! Which is exactly my point. He's been an annoying little fuck to me ever since he was in the show. I couldn't stand him being the center of attention almost every single fucking episode. The words that come out of his mouth are only about Blitzo. And God forbid him from getting exposed and instead gets treated like a UwU baby. Like.... he's so awful and unlikeable. And I hate how fans will shove their words down your throat when you point out his wrongdoing. It's crazy.

Ok so, since I keep seeing no one talk abt her uh… don’t mind me, I’mma just rant abt Cherri bomb and stuff bc why not >:]

Cherri Bomb imo, should’ve had A LOT more to her design and I mean A LOT

Now although Cherri’s design is not as bad as the others (well her Design is decent ‘ish but just rarely), ever since I first saw her design I always felt underwhelmed by her design especially now.

There isn’t really much to say other than the usual colors blend in problem and such

But imo I find this redesign to be quite lazy because this literally just her design in the Addict Video, and I just wonder, why? Could viv not think of anything creative when redesigning her after the addict video? I ask bc there is literally so many ways viv could’ve made Cherri’s design to look very cool and unique! Like yea, I know this is viv who we’re talking Abt and her creativity can only go oh so far BUT STILL!!!

Like I said there are literally MANY GODDAMN WAYS viv could’ve made her design more unique! Infact, I can literally share some ideas I have / things that would’ve made her design better

1. Literally changing her Outfit.

Like do I even have to explain????? Her outfit is absolutely hideous and imo doesn’t suit her like AT ALL. Her Outfit is literally a bunch of ripped clothes with the most atrocious colors I’ve ever seen. Her outfit would’ve honestly been more cooler if she had Punk attire! It would Honestly fit with her personality really well! Like REALLY REALLY well! And if viv doesn’t know how to design characters with punk attire then there are LITERALLY endless amounts of references of punk outfits that viv could use when she was designing Cherri and these images are not just any references of punk fashion but rather punk fashion that was LITERALLY FROM THE 1980S!!! Y’know, THE ERA SHE DIED IN??

HECK, THIS OLD REDESIGN I DID OF CHERRI (that I plan on updating after I finish making this post with a bunch of other redesigns I’m doing) CAN LITERALLY BE AN EXAMPLE ON HOW PUNK CAN FIT CHERRI’S PERSONALITY REALLY WELL!!

2. Make her have doll elements or som idk

Uh huh, I know that but like hear me out on this

I feel like Cherri being a literal doll could honestly work imo! Heck, if Cherri was a doll, the weird anatomy she has can literally go in viv’s favor! Since dolls most of the time don’t really have realistic bodies, like literally look at this thing if ya don’t believe me

But jokes aside, I do genuinely think it would be an awesome idea! I mean there are literally many dolls out there (even dolls from her era too), that viv can use as references if Cherri was gonna be a doll too! Cherri can literally be a punk rebellious version of Barbie for all I care (I mean like cmon are you gonna tell me that wouldn’t be so cool?)

She doesn’t even have to be specifically a doll either if viv didn’t want make her one, she can literally be an action figure too! (Unfortunately I can’t show anymore images bc I’m a the limit for adding photos in one post but hopefully you get idea)

3. GIVE HER A DIFFERENT FUCKING COLOR PALETTE FOR FUCKS SAKES!!11!1!

Blah blah blah Cherri’s palette as mentioned before in this post sucks!

But the thing that bugs me most in her color palette is literally the gradients in Cherri’s hair

Like every time I saw Cherri pop on screen in the hh pilot (and I do apologize if I sound dumb), the gradients on her hair would change ALOT to the point it kinda felt inconsistent…

The only time the gradients in Cherri’s hair felt consistent was in the addict video but that was only bc viv had to LITERALLY SIMPLIZE her hair so the animators wouldn’t have an hard time animating her god damn hair (kinda wished she did the same with the rest of the designs but oh well)

And that’s all I could think of (for now), if anything I can prob just make reblog to add on to this post, Uh Ty for reading this critical rant post thingy I have going on, I’mma go to bed it’s literally 3am for me rn at the time of making this and uh idk bye ig

His design oh my soul hate like the plague sorry so hated his character too (among other things oh his character (¬_¬) made already a long post on that). Butbif he's likable hmm maybe I'll change my mind, still hate him because design but tolerate him as a character. Angel can die in a trench pit and Charlie is meh as always, she'll probably be meh in the show but we shall see.

While I like Helluva Boss, I'm going to be the first to admit its garbage. And when I scroll through tags that get into criticisms, its always "Vivzie this" and "Vivzie that" and all of us not talking about a particular nuance I find interesting.

To sum up, I would argue Spindlehorse's main problem is the structure of more or less letting an Indie Darling direct, write, produce, etc.

Vivzie's always had problems with professionalism, her reputation precedes her, HOWEVER, I would also be quick to point out the sheer absurdity of her work load, and argue its a factor in how the "abuse" and allegations are more so inevitable than a result of intentions of some diabolical, calculating villain of indie animation.

She's living a dream a lot of Indie Darlings have fantasized, being in complete creative control of her IP. None of the critics I find seem to discuss that aspect, so let's get into what her having that complete control probably means for the show.

The production schedule is insane. While working on her original pitch, Hazbin Hotel, she gets into making Helluva as well, and has the creative control to apparently grant the audience regular updates that necessarily requires a team pulling major overtime.

To put it simply, TV production of the before streaming times would never have pushed a schedule this insane. As much as everyone complains about executive producers, networks, and what not, they are the guys who often have to voice of reason on a creative project, "Now hold on, if we push out Episode 1 of show B before Episode 1 of show A, show A will be delayed before Air Date A, and there's a contract for Show A to be completed by this date, blahblahblah..."

And then there would be other ways of fixing writing and plot issues like if they had the management and the process in place to say, "Hey so, this writer pointed out this plot hole, can we rework x and y so that z makes sense?"

Spindlehorses's problems, to put it simply, is the result of dubious delegation and management because this is the result of the experiment, "what if a creative had TOTAL control over EVERYTHING."

I admire Vivzie's ambition, however, I really chalk up a lot of the issues of her production to, "not having gone through enough ego death to understand the rotten position she's put herself and everyone around her in."

That is to say, I definitely think we need to acknowledge, when we criticize Spindlehorse, that there are pros to this level of creative control and freedom, as well as some significant cons. Its not "just" Vivzie, a lot of people would have really jumped at the structure Vivzie of Spindlehorse created to test the waters of their own creative control. This whole saga is a demonstration of why that can't work.

And then fans will see his “get better soon” text and argue that he cares and loves Stolas, despite the fact that his said text messages and instagram pictures regarding Stolas are just him being miserable and not caring about what this bird brain does as long as he gets the book in return. Like….I highly bet they’re going to defend Blitz’s shitty responses to Stolas by just pulling the “oh he loves him he just can’t communicate well” card. God, Viv and this fandom have no idea what love is outside of sex and quick banter.

The overlord thing hazbin has going is pretty confusing imo but I always imagined the overlords in hell were just what demons were referred as if they were a leader for a certain group they have! Like for example since alastor is an overlord I feel like his group would have members before the 2000s and after 1890s (niffty and husk being one of those members), but that might change I’m still trying to figure that out :,]

I always think about the last part and tbh it makes me real sad because we could’ve gotten a character that is trying to heal from an toxic relationship but bc of her alcoholism her progress of healing goes backwards. And it just feels like such a miss opportunity to me bc we could’ve gotten that but got screwed over bc blitzo the “uwu baby boy who’s done nothing wrong” exists

This is like, a personal thing but does it annoy anyone else that the crew keeps putting Verosika on the cover of YouTube promos and merch as if she’s not just some random side character the show only brings up to either sexualize or mock her for her alcoholism.

The way the show treats Verosika has always made me uncomfortable. Out of all the women in the series, she feels the most blatantly “you exist as fanservice and to arouse our audience”

where is that screenshot where Vivziepop liked a tweet saying Striker was an egotistical bigot? because OH MY GOD its pissed me off so bad that i never liked the posts talking about it. nothing against the users, its entirely about my hatred towards that woman and how she is wasting a perfectly good character to become this two-dimensional asshole all her antagonistic characters are becoming.

Striker was SO interesting even just from one episode. he had such a good mysterious vibe to him, a much better design then the rest of the characters (tho its not perfect), an incredible voice actor, and from what i could tell he is a person who wishes to take down the oppressive classist system placed in hell. which i highly supported for his character motive

of course yes he did want to kill Stolas because he was just hired to. but it was clear from how he talked to Blitzo that he has a strong hatred towards people like Stolas because of how privileged they are and their constant bad treatment towards imps.

honestly the only thing i didnt like about Striker was him targeting Moxxie for no reason. it could be taken as he just has a distaste for the weak-willed which would make sense for his character. but a lot of it was unnecessary.

point im making is that Striker has great potential to be complex. but nooo if we make Striker's reasoning actually valid then that would mean Stolas would ACTUALLY be in the wrong. and Vivziepop just CANT have that for her favorite innocent baby boy who could do no wrong and is just misunderstood 🥺

so OF COURSE we have to make Striker this bland asshole because she can't write morally grey characters for SHIT

it reminds me of how in The Batman the Riddler was actually making good points about how Gotham is an oppressive classist city where the rich 1% are corrupt and push for a system that mistreats the poor

and then the directors realized the Riddler was making a little TOO much sense and made him flood the city so he didn't look as valid—

That is what Helluva Boss is to me. After the most resent episode, that's what I realized what the show was and that was when I finally understood the proper meaning of "Have its cake and eat it to."

The show tries to preach about how queer ≠ sex and private parts obsessed in regards with Moxxie and his father, while at the same time have the majority of queer men in the show be sex obsessed. Their newest queer man character introduced in the same episode was sex obsessed.

They want to tell you that Stolas is trying to be a better father for Octavia and he is improving, while also avoiding the effort of actually having him act as a better father. In fact, he keeps messing up.

The show wants to acknowledge that the way Stolas treated Blitz as a sex thing was not okay, while at the same time, never developing past that and have them go back to flirting with each other like their last interaction never happened.

The show wants to let you know "Hitting and abusing someone is not okay" with Stolas and Stella, while having Luna beat the living hell out of Blitz for laughs.

The show keeps threatening to have deep messages and lessons and character arcs, but never goes beyond acknowledging it's existence and even pretending those past arcs never existed.

The show wants to have its cake and eat it to.

I am not looking forward to the rest of this series. I am more excited for Hazbin Hotel in my opinion.
