Lola let out a soft sigh, finally things were seemingly coming back to normal. There was finally a moment between the two of them and there finally wasn’t a moment where she didn’t feel like she was drowning. “I’ve missed you so much, Em,” She echoed with another soft sigh that escaped her. A sigh of relief. Of things just being okay. When the two of them let go, it was like the fog had lifted and Lola could see Emilia from her relieved smile, to her soft green eyes. “Okay, you can come in before I start like…crying and stuff.” 

Lola missed her too. That was the reassurance she needed to hear, the reassurance she had been missing. Reading it in a text was one thing, but seeing her face and hearing her voice made it all the more real. “Oh no, please don’t cry,” she stated, entering the apartment and taking off her shoes. “I’d still be here for you if you did, but, you know, I don’t want to see you upset...”

Lola had just finished settling back into her apartment, lazily sprawled over the couch and watching and roasting Twilight on Netflix while eating a giant bowl of cereal. She knew that Emilia was on her way, so she at least looked semi decent than how she looked upon arrival yesterday. When she heard the bell, she instantly rolled off the couch and made her way over to the door and took a breath before opening it with a smile. “Hey,” She breathed out softly. One month was far too long to be away. Without saying another word, she simply pulled the other brunette into a hug. 

Before Emilia could choke out a hello, she felt Lola’s arms around her. She squeezed the younger girl tightly, holding on for several minutes. It felt like everything was finally falling back into place. “God I fucking missed you,” she finally expressed, letting go of Lola so she could look at her. She missed her face, her cute little smile, hearing her talk, her jokes, everything.

It had been nearly a month since she had seen Lola in person. Emilia felt bad that she wasn’t there to greet her at the airport, but she was in San Francisco and wouldn’t have been able to get back fast enough. But she was back now, and was now standing outside of Lola’s apartment building. She didn’t even bother to stop home before heading over to Lola’s apartment. She needed to see her. She needed to know that everything was okay. She rang her bell and nervously awaited her response.
