How to help BLM if you’re broke

Hey guys really good way to help BLM if you have no money to spare is to put this playlist on in the background: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCgLa25fDHM&list=PLYSPvcHES4Ve24m6n40evWcFBj3-mT1Eo&index=2&t=0s

100% of the ad revenue goes towards BLM, and the playlist is already set up to cycle through different videos so that YouTube doesn’t count it as bot views.  It donates to SEVERAL different funds as well, and all you need to do is have it running in the background.  Highly recommend.

i was curious if cops actually were resigning, now that police brutality is being openly advocated as the defacto response to, like, civilians excercising their basic rights, so i googled it and uh

I understand it is not my place to speak for black people, but I do understand that letting this movement continue on is incredibly vital to getting the shit that needs to be done to the world done.

Black Lives Matter is no longer trending on Tumblr, the first time since it originally started and I’d hate to see this movement stop because it’s becoming tiresome. I know that the tag “equality” seems to fill that hole from where Black Lives Matter stood, but it is still incredibly important to keep contributing to the hearing, listening, caring, loving, and support of the black lives that have ALWAYS mattered.

Making the world change takes time and effort, and we need to continue to be supportive to our black friends, family, brothers, sisters, women, men, children, LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, and disabled. They have taken this abuse for far too long and I want to stand beside them to watch the world finally give retribution to the vile acts committed upon them every day for daring to be black.

Keep chanting, donating, protesting, emailing, petitioning, calling, begging, screaming, learning, and most importantly: listening. Listen and echo with them the cause they are protesting for and never forget that the world is stained in the blood, tears, sweat, and spit that black lives have shed for our world to be as accepting as it already is.

Marsha P. Johnson is one of the leaders of Stonewall, a black trans woman who deserves as much love as she could ever possibly receive. She matters.

George Floyd was a man who was killed because cops decided a counterfeit $20 should cost him his life. He had been forced to leave behind a daughter who now has to grow up knowing the cops will never see her except for her skin. He matters.

Austin Howell, a recent addition to those affected by police brutality: a young boy who only wished to join the protesters now has a fractured skull and brain damage due to being shot by police at a peaceful protest by “less-lethal” bullets. He’s in critical condition and when protestors tried to get him to safety, they were shot at too. Austin Howell matters.

Black Lives Matter. They always have.
