pairing: Chester x reader

Chester has had a crush on you for quite some time, and he tried everything to confess, yet it seems like the universe is against him

Chester ran into his room, grabbing a little box, which lay among others. He then sprinted towards {reader} with a goofy smile on his face. He had to confess while he had the motivation and determination for it.

He looked everywhere, every room, every hall and every corner, just to find them filling up a huge jar with more liquorice. No wonder he couldn't find them. This is the last place he would go near to.

{Reader} was stading on stairs, throwing liquorice into the Jar. Mandy told them to do it, and they knew better than to go against her. Chester watched her for a moment before taking a breath and speaking

"Hey {reader}! I have a surprise for you!" He reached out the little colourful box towards them with a wide grin. {Reader} looked down at the box and then at Chester, raising her eyebrow in suspension

"Ches, I have no time for your pranks. I have work to do!" They declined. They took another heavy bag of liquorice and threw the insides into the jar for the 5th time..

"I'm not playing a prank on you! I promise!" He whined, taking a few steps closer to {reader}. "Open it, and you will see!" He added, reaching our the box once again. He still had a smile on his face, but more of an awkward one

{Reader} looked down at him once again with confusion and still a hint of suspicion. But they decided to give Chester a chance. They walked down the stairs and carefully took the little box, expecting an explosion at any moment. The box was small and pink with a ribbon on top

They looked back at Chester. He seemed to be off — having a cricked smile and nervous chuckle. {Reader} just sighed and opened the box

A big, glittery, and pink explosion happened. Chester was taken aback, while {Reader} looked at them with annoyance. They pushed the rest that was left of the box to Chester with aggression. "Very funny" They said and walked off, leaving Chester alone.

"Wait, what? Wha- Why?" Chester looked at the rest of the box with confusion and surprise. He then sighed. He took the wrong box. He might have grabbed the wrong one in the hurry. There was supposed to be a pretty bracelet in the box, not an explosion.. And then the confession..

Maybe next time.
