This was 9 years ago today.

Here's how it's been going....

My tax refund is due tomorrow (the 6th) and hopefully H&R Block won’t take long with their bit. I found a 24 hour weekend vet that’s near my work. Actually I applied for a job there a while back so I have a good idea of where it is. The website says they take walk-ins. 

I can’t go tomorrow, I have work and I don’t think they have a drop off and pick up later service. Visits take about an hour? That’s nice. I have to work 4_½ hours. 

Oil my ass. I’ll just have to freeze if it gets any colder. Dustbunny NEEDS a vet. Just waiting on the moola now. 

Hurry it up IRS. (And H&R Block)

His ear abscess looks better, but now the thing on his face (between) his eyes is draining. Oh I managed to get him in the cat carrier. He whopped his face on the gate part, hitting the wound that was closed. His fur is matted with pus and blood. I’ve been doing my best to keep it clean. It’s not bleeding right now, but it nasty looking.

Also… he hasn’t had his rabies shot yet. I was gonna wait till a little later on a Thursday and see if a local vet still did $9 rabies vaccines that day. Then all this shit happened. (Will not be surprised if I’m told to get one too….  yyyyeah….)

Oh and his eyes are puffy but I got him some L-lysine (thanks thecatsite.com) his eyes were open a bit more today. He was actually able to look around when I brought him to my grandparent’s bathroom. Um yeah I gave up. I’m house sitting AND cat sitting in one-go. What they don’t know won’t hurt them. Granted I’m gonna have a doozy of a mess to clean. I’ve covered the floor in old ass towels and blankets. He has a litter box in here but I have no idea if he’ll figure it out. 

He’s sleeping now.

I'm from North Carolina, but spent like age 4-7 in Miami, FL.

I remember when school started in September, and it was starting to get cool. I remember being made to wear a turtle neck and blue jeans under my Halloween costume and a coat over it because it was cold outside. Now October is still fairly warm.

Christmas as a cultural icon is starting to get really dystopian in a climate sense, december has historically been a time of year in which there would be snow in a significant portion of europe and north america, and the fact that its not even icy this time of year and all the christmas songs and decorations reference a time of year that will likely never exist in the same way again in my life time is so strange.
