Writing update:
May be ditching one of my timelines and sticking to just the historical perspective.
Playing with the idea a bit.
Stay tuned.

My toxic trait is taking incomprehensible notes on any scrap of paper I can find in hopes that if I draw a series of complicated arrows I’ll be able to miraculously decipher my own handwriting when it comes times to actually USE my research.
Oh, and did I mention I have 10 tabs open?

Let’s just say, I’ve learned a lot more about Vikings this month than I had anticipated.
"Can't wait to see where you take this story" well I can't wait to see where this story takes me either

Writing Update:
*Plot points are coming together to connect my storylines (yay!).
*Research is one of my favorite parts of writing and also the part I’m sometimes most reluctant to do if I’m overwhelmed and don’t know where to start BUT I have not only learned quite a bit about Vikings, I have also found tiny historical details that miraculously (truly) coincide with my story and characters.
*Not that the numbers truly mean anything to me, but it’s nice to see my goal counter move up to 5%
Happy Writing Friends! Will be sharing snippets soon.

“I can teach full time and be married and have two kids and two dogs and a house to maintain and still write my novel… by June 5th” she said, with far more ambition than she should have based on literally all sense of logic.
Getting inspired to write is actually really easy! All you need to do is be the busiest you've ever been in your entire life and as far away from a computer as humanly possible. Hope this helps 🥰

pen names and other literary things
I've been writing for the vast majority of my life, and I've played with the idea of a pen name for quite a while. And while I GREATLY DISLIKE the niche-fication of literally everything (as if a person could be good at more than one thing - the sheer audacity of the thought. *Ahem, see any accomplished woman of substance via the Victorian, Renaissance, and really any pre-modern era), I realize that our culture is a niche one. Therefore, I'm keeping my theological writing separate from my fiction. . . at least as far as social networks are concerned. It will, however, be impossible to ACTUALLY keep them separate, as my theology informs my writing.
So there.
But I digress.
All that to simply say, my fiction work is written under E. A. Swan, a relic of my college years and an endearing and honorary nickname that I love dearly and can't quite part with.
Will be introducing the novel shortly and probably rather cryptically in this lovely corner of the internet.
Cheers to being multi-specialized humans!
