Little text about my OCs

What is love?

We sit on the sofa, and I suggest playing Mario kart. After all, we've come to my place to relax from this interminable day. Charlie stares at me with those big round eyes, as they often does, but seems to want to do something. They opens their mouth, then hesitates. They takes a breath, and watching the screen lighting up, asks:

- In fact, what is love? I put my controller down on the floor, stunned by this sudden question. - Why are you asking that now? And why to me? - Well, I don't know, you seem to know a lot about it. - Me? Not at all. Although I think I've felt it before... - Could you explain it to me? they asks, looking down at me and blushing. I'm not sure I've ever experienced it. I'm focusing on the game, but I'm trying to find words to put down this emotion, which is consuming me right now... Their innocent tone has made me melt. I try to explain calmly, but my voice trembles :

- For me, love is something that grabs you. It's not voluntary, you're forced into it. It's a bewitching force that wraps you in its drape and won't let you move. You feel your breathing jerk, your muscles tense, your organs moves, your body boils, but you can't do anything. This sheet holds you tight, imprisons you, you're no longer free to move; but at the same time, it's so pleasant. It's soft, warm, it hugs and cuddles you. If it escapes, slipping away in the wind, you'll try to catch it. It will become the center of your thoughts, as this sensation became essential. You have to touch it, smell its intoxicating scent, embrace it. You don't want it to leave you, despite this new constraint. These sensations become more and more intense, making you more and more addicted to this piece of fabric, which at some point hurts, squeezes and suffocates you. Love is all that at the same time. I'm just saying...

I come to my senses and realize that I've completely lost the game, just like Charlie who doesn't even look at the screen anymore. - Ah yes... I- I think I get it.

We look at each other, blush, turn back to the TV. - Shall we do an other round? - Yes, with pleasure...

I see them touch their heart with their hand, and try to catch their breath, while I also try to calm down, but imagining Charlie feeling the same way I do for them, I just get carried away even more.

I love them so much ><

I don't often interact with some of my f/os content 'cuz depending on how intense I am about them I get super nervous and stressed (overwhelmed? Idk one of both I just feel like I get a heavy weight suddenly hitting my chest) and I physically can't see/read content about them for too long or else my heart hurts :')

I am weak lol

(sometimes I wonder if I can actually support love like is it supposed to be painful?)

I want to give my f/o or comfort character a kiss on on their forehead so I can see their smile grow. I want to intertwine my fingers within theirs so I can give them that pure gesture of closeness, gently squeezing their hand. I want to hold them close so they can feel the kindness of my embrace. I want to love them in the most beautiful ways so they can experience what it is like to receive genuine love in a form that is healthy and secure.

I genuienly apologize if in my ships, my interpretation of a character isn't good enough

I'm not great at being in character, even if I love this character very deeply and know everything about it

I do try my best to think about what they could do in which situation, what they could say, but I know I'm not good at it and I'm truly sorry if it's annoying to anyone who also like the character in question

KOHARA aka Amaris Brooklyn

Age: 31

Power: Can shoot short bursts of energy based "lightning strikes". If too much energy builds up inside her, it will expel in other parts of her body when it becomes too much.

Amaris was raised by her religious Baptist mother in Virginia. Amaris discovered her power at 10 years old when she pushed her bully in catholic school. Lightning shot from her hands as she shoved her aside. Trying to hold it in by covering her hands her power built up inside until it overflowed and shot through her right eye destroying the school yard wall and permanently scarring her face.

The nuns considered her scar a mark. A mark that she harbored the devil inside her. Her mother then began to treat her as such. Afraid of her daughter she became increasingly distant and made it clear that she thought of her as the anti-christ and that she was somehow cursed by giving birth to her.

Determined to prove her mother wrong she wore contacts in her right eye and covered her scar with make-up. She also made it a point hold in her power even though very painful. The more she held it in however the scar began to spread little by little with no other way to release. Nonetheless Amaris pretended to be a normal person and not a mutant for most of her life. Denying who she really was. Telling her mother that she swore she could be normal. Her mother reluctantly kept her in her life as "god loved everyone".

One day her and her mother were robbed late at night at gun point while out. Her mother fought back and Amaris could have easily stopped the robber with use of her power... but did nothing. Afraid of what her mother would say. Instead she stood there as the man shot and killed her mother before running off.

At first she felt relieved. No longer having to worry about her mother being ashamed of her and treating her so poorly. But she regretted not helping her mother out of guilt even if her mother hated her. Ready to end her life she remembered hearing about Charles Xavier on tv and other mutants. She found that she could finally be who she really was. Find other mutants, live her life and maybe do some good on her own terms.

She joined the X-men at age 29 where she trained and could finally use her power freely and fight for mutant rights.

Sorry for being slow, things are a bit busy lately and I can only draw in the evening, but I'm slowly answering the asks :'3 I'm gonna try to post the first part this weekend!!
