But moving onto Argost himself, for his design I wanted to go for a much more fancy look, to play more into his outlandish and prideful nature. Argost has always felt like the kind of character who dislikes his cryptid origins, not wanting to be seen as a wild animal with no manners, but also doesn’t like to put himself on the same level as humans. He wishes to be something more, to be seen as more, hence his goal to become a god basically with Kur’s powers. This design is to reflect that, still showing some cryptid sides like with the snap nails, but mostly all dressed up to be something he sees himself as.

Notes:

The Xing-Xing from his past is the closest person Argost would consider a friend, but even he would never be enough to stop him on his quest. After Argost’s death, Xing-Xing went back home, somewhat ashamed he couldn’t do anything sooner to stop his friend.

His favorite musical is Phantom of the Opera, one of the first pieces of media he watched, and being the inspiration behind his mask, and some of his quirks.

In his old lair, he still has the remains of Drew and Doyle’s old family tent, and some of the other belongings they lost that day.

He has gone to conventions before, and does genuinely love the attention his fans give him, even if he doesn’t care much for the fans themselves.

He learn about Kur through the nagas, having stumbled across them by mistake when getting new creatures for his weird world show. This is how he also knew to contact Rani Nagi when he thought Fisk was Kur.

Though despite being obsessive over Kur’s history, he too never learned the full truth behind the cryptid king’s backstory.

You took Van Kleiss, and made him into a little shit gremlin theater kid.

instead of being taken in by six, rex became a hurt, lonely, lost child who hates the world because it sees him as a monster and an outcast. he causes chaos whenever he can for his hate towards the world and society for rejecting and hurting him after being already lost for the lack of his memories. tries to search a way to regain his lost memories, and will do whatever it takes for it.

van kleiss is the top scientist of providence. most of the members don’t trust him because of his evo powers (especially since his powers include creating evos). he’s an antisocial old man, who is friends only with dr. holiday, six and white (even though they argue a lot about qustionable experiments van kleiss wants to perform). although he’s on the side of the “good guys”, he’s still as manipulative and as charismatic.
