No need to buy or pirate it — Thomas Taylor's translation is free on Wikisource:
https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Sallust_On_the_Gods_and_the_World/Sallust_on_the_Gods_and_the_World
It's kind of mind boggling to me how every time I see book recommendations for Hellenic or Roman polytheist I never see On the gods and the world by Sallust.
It may not teach practical ways of worship but it answers a lot of philosophical questions about the gods that I think we, as pagans, have at some point asked ourselves. Seriously, some of the points made by Reddit ath3ists are answered in this essay, like they're 2000 years behind.
It's very short (like 50 pages long) so if you can buy it, pirate it or get it from your local library I'd highly recommend it. Here's an audiobook in case you prefer that.

"Aphrodite loves terfs" do you really think a goddess of love formed from a literal penis and the mother of Hermaphroditus, an intersex god who was associated with androgyny and feminine men, fucks around with transphobia?
she is a literal trans icon and to deny that will get you smited by all the gods

The Reims Stela (Autel de Reims) is one of the more impressive and complete survivals of Cernunnos iconography.
Because the weathered stone is so dull, I've always wanted to see it restored to its former polychromy glory — so I experimented with some digital colorization!

Pagan culture is hiding and then rearranging half your room when your Christian mother comes over to your flat on the off chance she wants to go and "just have a look."

Pallas Athena and the Herdsman's Dogs by Briton Rivière
Then drew she nigh, in shape a stately dame,
Graced with all noble gifts of womanhood:
None save Odysseus saw her; for to few
Of mortal birth the gods reveal themselves.
But the dogs knew her coming, and with whine
And whimpering crouched aloof.

I'm a Pagan because I worship Gaulish and other Gods, and I follow a path guided by what we learn from the polytheistic and pre-Christian philosophies and traditions.
But I was Pagan before I was fully polytheistic, too. I was always in touch with the spirits of the land, had a sense of the mystical, and embraced gay love — the kinds of things Christendom is very clear about being "Pagan"; things that were commonplace in the pre-Christian religions, even if I wasn't as historically informed about them at the time.
I still call myself Pagan — not just "polytheist" — because there is so much overlap in the various pre-Christian polytheisms, both historically and in our modern practices. I see ourselves as sharing a community, and I find it useful to talk about ourselves collectively (e.g., not just to talk about Gaulish polytheists, as if we're standalone).
I also think Pagans all share the same position and relationship to Atheo-Christendom. I'm conscious of how we are subversive to it, and antithetical to it; how we are marginal, and living under it.
I *embrace* all that, because I don't desire legitimacy or assimilation from it!
"Pagan" functions like "Queer" in that way...
pagans, can you explain what it means to be pagan? what makes you pagan? why do you call yourself pagan? i'm a curious witch, please share ur knowledge <3

Me, first approaching the gods: “Hi, I have a fountain of issues that will constantly make things difficult, I’ve got this 50 cent candle and my undying love for you. 👉🏻👈🏻🥺”
The gods: “Hell yeah.”
