The Hillywood Show is creating a Good Omens Parody

(This is an irregular post for the Good Omens Celebration mods but it seems like worthy fan work and it’s fairly time sensitive, so waiting to post until the Celebration started wouldn’t make sense.)

So what is the The Hillywood Show and why is signing up for their Patreon soon important?

They’re a pair of sisters that have been producing fun and high quality parodies of pop culture franchises for over 10 years. Their creations rack up millions of views on YouTube and are well regarded by fans. They’ve chosen Good Omens to be the subject of their next project. Even Neil Gaiman has been wishing them luck on Twitter regularly.

They’ve gotten the opportunity so start filming for this in June but in order to accomplish that the timeline to reach their Patreon goal has moved up and they now need to hit that goal by the beginning of May. They are already very close to their goal after only a month of promoting. They have just 18% to go but a very limited time to make it happen.

If they miss that window it’s likely that they wouldn’t be able to book space and crew together again until Fall or later this year.

Patreon tiers for The Hillywood Show start at $2 and give folks access to exclusive behind the scenes material and other fun things.

So if you’re a Good Omens fan you may want to take a look at their work on. YouTube and see if it’s something you’d like to see funded. This mod’s own personal favorites are the Harley Quinn/Lady Gaga and Doctor Who/Time Warp parodies.

So i just finished reading The Picture of Dorian Gray, so of course i’m thinking about aziraphale. The fact that aziraphale loves this book is so??? Deep??? Like the whole plot is that everyone is convinced that dorian is perfect and can do no wrong, but actually he’s doing all these horrible things, and literally the only thing that gets in his way is his own conscience. And i feel like aziraphale identifies that in a guilty way? Especially with how dorian ends up murdering basil, who loves dorian, which maybe could be aziraphale being worried that heaven, or even himself, is going to end up killing crowley. Or maybe he reads it as a way to tell himself “yeah, you keep doing all these unangelic things, but eventually you’re going to feel so guilty about it” like he doesn’t understand that he’s not really doing anything wrong, not like dorian was, and so reading the picture of dorian gray is aziraphale’s version of crowley’s plants, an honestly shitty way of coping with his trauma?? Idk this is just my feelings

Headcanons for Good Omens

Aziraphale’s drink has probably been spiked more than once, but luckily Crowley “accidentally” spills it and gets him a new one

Crowley probably can sense when people are inclined to sin a certain way and so whenever he’s around Aziraphale, he’s always thinking to himself: “how the hell do they still consider you ‘holy’?”

Aziraphale was probably telling Ovid (the guy who wrote the myth of Icarus) a story about how he accidentally fell out of the sky once and this inspired the myth.

Aziraphale probably tried finding a more “human” sounding name, but nothing really fit well so he just stuck with Aziraphale.

Despite Aziraphale’s best efforts to get one classical music composer into Heaven, he never could... he even tried to talk the “higher ups” into letting at least one in. They rejected his request.

Aziraphale probably takes forever in the shower and here is why. He just really loves the bubbles shampoo causes so naturally he’s gonna savor each time he gets to wash his hair with it- I have this very vivid situation where Crowley is waiting outside like “Angel, we have to do shit today-“ and Aziraphale is like “Just a secccc-“ and continues to be fascinated by the bubbles. He then comes out eventually and when asked what took him so long, he’ll just dismiss the question because he doesn’t want people to know how fascinated he is with human soap.

Speaking of shower habits, Crowley has probably performed many songs for his bottles of soap- He’s probably also slipped once when he imagined himself serenading Aziraphale- Like he’s singing and then he just fucking slips- The mental image this put in my head is so hilarious to me and idk why-

Okay so like I’m going to try to guess Janus’ entire arc in one Tumblr post so if you don’t want to know my theories, just keep on scrolling.

So recently I had the pleasure of going to the Meet and Greet Thomas was hosting and while I didn’t have time to ask everything I wanted to, I did have time to ask about Janus’ name.

Basically before the meet and greet, I had accidentally searched ‘Janus’ instead of ‘Janus Sanders’ on Google and found that Janus was a Roman god believed to be responsible for managing transitions, literally and metaphorically, doorways, time, etc. He’s a two faced god which probably inspired Janus’ half snake half human makeup. So that was plaguing my mind and as I entered the meet and greet, I knew that I wanted desperately to ask him about that and if that was intentional. Basically he said that it was intentional. And so now that I have that information, I believe that a lot of Janus’ character arc is inspired by what this god is.

Even down to the dynamic Romulus and Janus have is pretty accurate to what Roman and Janus’ dynamic is-

So now I believe that Janus’ purpose in Sanders Sides is to guide Character Thomas into a metaphorical transition. Now I have no idea if it’s going to be about his thinking or what but Janus is going to have to guide Thomas through that, even if Patton or the other sides may object.
