Follow my blog on Facebook (yes, I know)
Here isn't getting as much traffic for my blog as I'd hoped. I opened a Tumblr page as part of several post-Twitter alternatives, but mostly just using it to follow a few fan comics/people I followed on Twitter. I'm also tired of dealing with spambots on here.
As such, I thought I'd reopen my dormant Facebook page to link to new blog posts on, as well as for anyone who won't use anything else besides Meta's site.

While ChatGPT and chatbots are all the rage, I have some doubts about its widespread use, especially after the CNET incident.

Warner Bros. Discovery is launching several FAST channels on Tubi and the Roku Channel. While it's a good idea, WB's streaming state is still in chaos.

Overall, “Velma” didn’t leave me irate, just mildly annoyed at how banal and adolescent its “adult” humor felt, while lacking much else of interest. While I’m glad we finally got a racially diverse version of Mystery, Inc., I just wish it was for a more traditional take on the gang. Otherwise, this show is pretty much “‘Scooby-Doo’ in name only.”

HBO Max has seen a lot of its content, from "Westworld" to Looney Tunes, getting axed as part of Warner Bros. Discovery's penny-pinching austerity drive. As such, it's growing hard to recommend as a streaming service for casual viewers. In today’s post, I take a look at some alternatives to HBO Max.

The major animation cable networks are all down in ratings for 2022; kids these days are more likely streaming cartoons nowadays. One channel showed an increase: FXX (now basically the “Fox animation lineup channel”?)

What do Peppermint Patty, Frankenstein Jr. and the Impossibles, and Poison Ivy have in common? They all should’ve entered public domain as of today under their original copyright terms, but didn’t thanks to retroactive extensions.
Also, obligatory ”Mickey Mouse enters public domain a year from today” comments.
