I'm not just cooking, i'm baking a whole ass CAKE

not 100% happy with the design but I wanted to get it out of my system, I went for darker and more muted colors for Zoro while still utilizing the usual elemnts of his outfit like the sash and the haramaki. also the color palette for the full outfit turned out very tasty, like it makes me think of chocolate and sweets. not sure about the use of haramaki though, I feel like it makes the proportions a bit awkward when everything else is dark, but it does make the shirt fold nicely so I may keep it in the end

now that I'm further into WCI I think I should add a suit version as well for the wedding bit hmmm

My idea for this is after coming to Big Mom's territory and fighting her commanders they get to the Germa carriage just like in canon. Zoro watches Sanji fight Luffy, restraining himself from interfering. He respects Luffy's decision to not fight Sanji back, but the moment Luffy gets knocked down it's Zoro's turn to try and bring the cook around and he's not gonna hold back

a very tense fight ensues

And if i say shigaraki is an inherently weaker character than touya and toga cause he got his agency completely removed from the story and was turned into a victim of circumstance whose actions were never truly his own, meanwhile touya and toga despite being victims too are also allowed to make their own choices and mistakes and therefore their impact as individual characters is felt way more and their stories end up being more compelling than shigaraki "every one of my farts was orchestrated by afo" tomura's, what then?

#i feel like horikoshi wrote himself into a corner with shigaraki after the villain arc #and was forced to backtrack and make afo the mastermind behind his entire life #with the downside of crippling shigarakis influence as an individual character in the story #i also feel this was done to make dekus task of saving him easier #whereas shoto and ochako had to go through the effort of trying to convince their villains deku only has to defeat afo to save tomura #he doesn't have to challenge shigarakis view of the world cause shigarakis view of the world was completely built by afo #and therefore never truly shigarakis own view #TLDR shigaraki is very boring as a character #bnha #shigaraki tomura

When the topic of mangaka burnout was discussed i saw a few people say gege was tired of jjk and that that was the reason the story was going the way it was and i was amazed that people couldn't seem to distinguish between an author who chooses to take the story in a direction they personally dislike (gege) and an author who is genuinely burnt out and their story suffers because of it (horikoshi).

#gege didn't kill gojo cause he was burnt out he killed gojo cause he wanted his death to be part of the story #dont get me wrong there is no mangaka in jump whos not being overworked and that includes gege #but he doesnt give the vibe of someone who just wants to get his story done so that they can rest #horikoshi on the other hand... #its clear he's desperate to finish mha and is willing to trample all over his pre established themes to get to that ending #jjk #mha
