Reading your blog I became curious about the Strike novels, because I used to love detectives stories as a kid. I got the first book for my birthday, read it in three days, then ran to the bookshop to buy the rest XD (That was heavy, even in pocket format...) I'm halfway through The Silkworm and so far I love it as much as the previous book !
It's such a pleasure to enjoy reading novels again, and now I remember how much I used to enjoy murder mysteries and I want to read more !
So I guess what I want to say is simply thank you !
Dun dun dun. Another one buys the Strikes

Fantasy sucks as a genre 90% of the time but every creative writing graduate thinks they're the next JRR Tolkien purely because they play nerdass games like Dungeons & Dragons. "Bro our quests are always so cool, I should write a novel" is the nerd equivalent of stoners who think their convos should be podcasts.

As part of a partnership with Pottermore Publishing and Audible, the two will release seven new English language audiobooks scheduled for late 2025. The audiobooks will feature a full range of character voices, with the Audible CEO citing more than 100 actors, Dolby Atmos sound design and new scoring.
Each book will be released sequentially and globally.
[...] “Together with Pottermore Publishing, best-in-class producers, and over one hundred actors, we will introduce a groundbreaking new soundscape for the Wizarding World, as well as performances that will inspire our listeners’ imaginations and redefine these quintessential characters for a new generation,” said Bob Carrigan, CEO of Audible.
“We are delighted to be collaborating with Audible on what will be a ground-breaking audio edition of the beloved Harry Potter stories. J.K. Rowling’s storytelling lends itself perfectly to the application of new audiobook technologies, and we’re certain this sophisticated, immersive audio experience will not only add a new listening dimension for existing fans, but will introduce a whole new generation of listeners to the wizarding world,” said Neil Blair, chairman of Pottermore Publishing.
