Beakley doesn’t actually need glasses

I’ve mentioned this in a couple other posts, but I’ve never actually explained why I think this is the case, so that’s what we’re gonna do bois

First of all, Beakley’s glasses don’t have lenses

(I’m using this picture because it’s badass af)

You can see with characters like Scrooge, the lenses are shown with a pale blue colour

Beakley however, doesn’t have this

Another character with a similar issue is Gyro.

Gyros glasses also don’t appear to have lenses either, however, in low light situations/situations where light is being shone directly at him we can see them quite clearly, like here

But, when we see Beakley in a similar lighting situation, her glasses don’t change at all

Why does this matter?

(It doesn’t really I’m just hyperfixating)

In “The Confidential Casefiles of Agent 22!” , Beakley doesn’t have her glasses on at all untill she’s undercover.

Granted, she could be wearing lenses, but I like the idea that the glasses are part of her undercover disguise.

It’s pretty much confirmed that Beakley is currently in hiding, which would mean she’d need to have some sort of disguise to make sure she stays out of FOWL’s view.

Ducktales is a show with a young audience, so they need to make sure that their characters are recognisable, so they couldn’t give her an elaborate disguise, hence why she just wears glasses.

Am I looking far too much into small details? Definitely

Will I live by this headcannon religiously? Probably not, I like Beakley having glasses

Did I get bored and write this for the hell of it? Hell yeah

Did I put far too much effort into this? Yup

Did superman do it so Beakley can do it too? Absolutely
