Pizza in Pajamas | Sharky |
Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: Sharky helps you study in return for you agreeing to finally go out and eat with him.
wordcount: 2.1k
warnings: language, kissing (?)
You were curled up in your bed, hiding under the covers and on the verge of a breakdown because of an upcoming exam.
You were stressed, tired, mentally exhausted and you had trouble focusing. You had barely gotten any sleep this week, constantly drowning in homework and assignments.
Your desk was messily stacked with papers, files and huge textbooks. You looked as bad as your room, tangled hair, the usual dark circles and fingers covered in hangnails from the constant nail chewing.
You couldn't force yourself to get up, despite being fully aware that you still had two whole topics to cover.
The music in your airpods was blasting on full volume, in attempt to try and escape reality, which wasn't really helping.
To make matters worse someone was knocking on your door.
Definitely not a good time.
I mean you shared a house with like five idiots who film videos for a living, talking to them was probably harder than the upcoming exam that you were so worried about.
The faint knocking was heard again.
You groan, aggressively throwing off the covers and yanking out your earbuds, shoving them into the pocket of your checkered pajama pants.
You open the door, thankfully revealing your boyfriend, the least idiotic idiot of the house.
You blink in response to his massive grin that was almost annoying you.
"How's my favorite girl doing?" Sharky was obviously trying to sound positive.
You pull up the hood of your sweater and yank on the strings, hiding your face, leaving a small hole in the front with your nose and lips sticking out.
You heard Sharky chuckle and let out an "Aaaww that bad?" Before you felt him press a chaste kiss onto your lips.
You step back, startled and surprised before confessing "I haven't brushed my teeth since this morning." Earning a chuckle from him.
"I don't care." Sharky's arms grabbed your waist and pulled you in closer, before he carefully took off the hood that you were hiding under.
"Noo," you groan, hiding your face in his shoulder "I look like shit. Come back in a few days."
"Nah." You felt him shake his head "I've been watching The Walking Dead. I think I have a thing for zombies."
"What?" You forced out a weak laugh before playfully punching his shoulder "Are you saying I look like a zombie?" You step back, raising your eyebrows.
"I didn't say nothing." He shrugs, smirking.
You drunkly nod and clumsily head back to your bed, face planting it.
"Oh cmon, baby." Disappointment filled Sharky's voice "What happened?" You felt the bed dent as he sat down next to you "You've been in your room for like five days now. It's the weekend, lay back a little." He drew small little stars on your back, making you relax and loosen up under his fingertips.
"Hm?" Sharky pats your back and stops stroking it.
You turn your head to the side and whine "No don't stop."
Sharky tightens his lips and continues tracing lines on your back, just like you asked him to.
"I know you're tired and everything, but you should at least open the window for some fresh air." He scans the room, seeing all the textbooks and pieces of paper everywhere.
You hum in response, barely conscious from how good Sharky's backscratches felt.
He looked down at you with a heavy heart, knowing that Uni was pumping all the energy out and leaving you barely alive with a shit ton of things to do.
At least you were enjoying your little massage. You were in a state of pure bliss as his fingers glided up and down your back, softly and swiftly.
In the present moment, you didn't want to do anything just lay in bed and let Sharky work his wonders.
Heaven lasted another minute before Sharky's hand finally left your back.
"Let's at least go out to eat."
You furrow your eyebrows and sit up with an unamused facial expression "No."
"What? No? You love going out! We can go to Pizza Hut or your favorite ramen place! I'll drive you anywhere!" His eyebrows knitted in despair.
"Sharky I cant go out like this." You motion to yourself "Besides I'd feel too guilty that I didn't revise today's flash cards."
"I'll help you with your fucking flash cards." Sharky shoved you "You're killing me."
"Me!?" You exclaim, eyebrows up to the ceiling "The hell-How am I killing you? I'm the one dying!"
"I'm worried!" Sharky's voice went high pitched "You barely come out of your room, you hardly talk to me and you look so sad."
You close your eyes and sigh.
"Hey," he says softly, hand on your thigh as he moves closer "Cmere." He pulls you into a warm hug.
A Sharky-hug, which rated as good as his backscratches.
You lay your head on the crook of his neck as his arms wrapped around you, one round your waist and the other one on the back of your head, holding you close to him. Sharky was busy thinking, or more like overthinking, while you just enjoyed the moment.
He was warm and smelt like tea, he must've been drinking some cardamom with Chunkz earlier, they usually did so after a prayer together.
"Pizza?" Sharky broke the silence with a suggestive tone.
"Flash cards." You said in a moody voice.
"Fine. Let's do your stupid flash cards.”
"...An approach and tool that enables people to organize for collective action, by pooling resources and building solidarity required to resolve common problems and work towards community advancement." You declare, catching your breathe and looking at Sharky for his nod of approval that you got the definition right.
"Hell yes!" He drops the last flashcard into the pile with the rest and raises his arms. You roll your eyes but giggle and go for the high five, earning another celebration from Sharky.
You fall backwards onto the bed and close your eyes "Good night." You say.
"Hey! No, that wasn't the deal." He shakes your leg.
"There was no deal, Sharks." You sing happily, finally satisfied with the fact that you actually revised something and knowing you can now rest in peace.
"Babyyy."
Or not.
You groan as two hands grab your arms and pull you up from your comfortable position.
"I'll drive you anywhere." He stated, big brown eyes piercing through your tired and half opened ones "Anywhere you want." He squeezes your shoulders.
You don't reply, just glare at him.
"Hm?" He hums, placing a quick kiss on your forehead waiting for your reply, then placing another one and another one, until you were laughing and trying to hide from his shower of kisses.
"I'm gonna eat you if you don't decide on a place!" Sharky chuckles from on top of you, still trying to sprinkle more kisses onto you while you hid behind the palms of your hands.
"Ok ok Pizza Hut!" You call out in defeat.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes! Yes! Get off me!" You laugh trying to shove him off.
"Alright, let's go."
"What? No." You sit up "I can't go like this."
He looks you up and down and shrugs.
"Don't be biased, I look like a homeless person."
"As a person who knows fashion, you look casual."
You raise your eyebrows with an unamused facial expression "Casual? Are you blind?"
He rolls his eyes and gets up, walking over and pulling you off the bed, leaving you no choice but to follow him to the car.
"We can eat inside, in the car." He stated, driving with you beside him, looking like a moody teenager who got forced out of their room...well that was pretty much it.
"Why couldn't we just order food home then?" You ask the obvious.
"Because then you'd just end up eating in front of all your books. Which is bad for you by the way." He paused "Also we haven't gone out together...in a while."
Suddenly you turned to Sharky, smile crawling onto your face "Are you lonely without me Sharky?"
"What?" He laughs "No. I mean we're dating right? We should be spending time together." He shrugs, not taking his eyes off the road.
"You miss me?" You say in a baby voice, making Sharky chuckle and shake his head.
"Don't deny it." You smirk.
"I-I'm not. Of course I miss you."
You tilt your head and smile, feeling warm and fuzzy inside. He glances at you, seeing the stupid grin on your face.
"Yeah ok we're here, idiot." Sharky says, pulling into the parking.
You glance out the window. It was pretty late, not many people were around and inside seemed pretty empty.
"In the car?" Sharky asks.
You blink at him "Nah let's go in."
"Really?" Sharky seemed happy and surprised at the same time. You shrug, but also nod, convincing yourself that Sharky's joy was more important than anything.
The two of you get out of the car and head for the restaurant.
"See how nice it is outside?" Sharky looks around, taking a deep breathe in "The night air is so fresh." He puts his arm around your shoulders.
"Uhuh." You wrap your hand around his waist and lean onto him, sighing, already thinking about all the studying you're going to have to do when you get back.
"Heyy," Sharky rubs your arm "I'll help you study more after, alright? Just enjoy the small break." He said, practically reading your mind.
You nodded, wholeheartedly believing him.
The two of you walked in and sat down at a table, a waiter instantly came over and handed you the menu. You pulled on your hood and unenthusiastically scanned the options with your tired eyes. Sharky chewed on his lip, seeing how weary you were. He wanted to help you, somehow lift up your mood, but he didn't know how, if food wasn't doing it he was afraid nothing would.
"Are you guys ready to order?" A cheerful and squeaky voice broke him out of his thoughts. He looked up and raised his eyebrows "Uuuh." He was so busy thinking again that he zoned out while staring at the menu instead of actually reading it.
"Medium margarita and a soda." You spoke up.
"M-make that a large." Sharky added "And another soda."
"Is that all?"
You and Sharky exchanged glances, you shrugged before looking up at the waitress "Yeah."
"Alright that'll be 15 minutes." She clicked her pen and left.
You crossed your arms over the table and laid your chin on top of them, looking at Sharky with what seemed like big puppy eyes to him.
"Oh, baby." Sharky sighed like a worried mom and reached for your shoulder, squeezing it as he stared into your stale eyes.
You gave him a tight smile and sat back up, his hand breaking contact with you.
"When's the exam?" He asked, sympathy filling his voice.
"Two days." You respond.
"There's still loads of time." He says surprised.
You shrug, you knew how hard it was for you to stay motivated under pressure.
"I'll help. Anything you need."
You chuckle "Thank you, Sharky." You smile, feeling grateful to have someone like him on your side. "But," you continued after a short pause "I don't want to be distracting you from whatever you're doing. And I need to learn to do shit myself, I can't always rely on someone."
Sharky raised his eyebrows "You can always rely on me." He sounded a bit hurt.
"No-I mean yes, but I mean like-ugh" you gave up mid sentence and dropped your head, thinking that conflict was about to spur out of this.
"No no no," Sharky hurried to reach over the table and hold your arms "I'm not tryna fight, I just wanna help." Strange how this man always acts upon your thoughts. Maybe he is a mind reader...
You look up "Yeah ok." You say quietly, moving your hands up to hold his.
"We don't have to talk if you don't want to."
"No, no," you stated, seeing his downcast expression "I wanna talk. How have you been doing?"
Sharky gave you a small smile "It's ok, I'm not mad. We can just enjoy each others presence. I don't have to talk to you to have a good time. I'm happy you at least agreed to come eat out with me."
"I'm sorry, Sharky, my mind is in a totally different place right now." You feel guilty for saying that, even though there's nothing wrong with it.
"I completely understand." He stated, almost enthusiastically "I just better not be seeing you this depressed after the exam."
"No, no don't worry." You shake your head.
"Promise?" He tilts his head.
"Pinky promise," you stick out your small finger for him to shake.
"Pinky promises are never to be broken." He says with a grin.
"I know, I know." You swear.
