#writeblr tag! I tag everyone that sees this to join :)
I'd like to start doing tags cause it gives me an excuse to write something haha.
🤐 Do you like keeping projects secret or do you like talking about them?
A bit of both. I'll talk about it in depth with very close friends, family, and apparently the internet. But if we're acquaintances, I won't mention it at all!
💀 Do you have a fic/story you regret writing?
Nope! I guess I haven't written enough to feel any regrets about my work.
😴 How do you deal with writers block? Or, do you ever put a story aside for a while when things aren't working?
I hate writer's block! Especially when I'm in a creative mood but nothing seems to come out. So instead of working on other things, I continue to work on the story but I'll make a pinterest board or something related to the novel so my mind is still within the world.
🙈 Name a story you pretend doesn't exist?
I have no answer for this question lol.
❤️‍🩹 Do you like to have happy endings in stories? Bittersweet?
Happy endings. Always. Sad/terrible endings linger with me and I won't get over it for days/weeks.
💌 What has been the nicest comment you've received?
A friend told me she felt like she was reading an actual ARC on Netgalley!
👽 What's the weirdest idea you've had for a story?
I wouldn't say it's the weirdest idea but it has to do with the dead being able to cross into the living world.
🤓 Nerdiest thing youve done in the name of writng?
Start a #writeblr?? LOL.
😈 What's an evil idea of yours that you're most proud of?
Hmmm.... i have no idea lol.
👼 Do you like pushing bounds? Or do you stick to conventions in writing?
Since I'm new to writing, I stick to the conventions cause my brain needs parameters in order to function.
💣 Do you like writing cliff hangers? Why?
Yes! It keeps the reader engaged and wanting moooree.
💭 How do you come up with your story ideas? Do you like prompts? Do you like visual pictures for inspo or written dialogues?
Yes, I come up with my story ideas that are loosely based off my life. I don't use prompts and I use pinterest as visual inspiration for myself that helps me write!
🤯 Is there a scene of yours that just gave you a "mind blown" response? A plot detail that you absolutely love? Like you are so excited about it and it was so fun to get on page?
YES! For my current WIP, I came up with the conflict first but figuring out HOW the conflict was going to unravel/reveal itself was difficult and then one day, it clicked.
👀 Any snippets you could share?
I guess this goes with the first question "am I secretive with my writing" and umm. yah. I guess I am. So no, no sharing. FOR NOW!
🫂 Where do you go to find support? Any shoutouts you wanna give?
My friends, tumblr, myself LOL.
👣 Who are some great influencers in your writing? Or blog?
Lauren Asher, Tessa Bailey, and Lianne Moriarty are my favourite authors when it comes to writing.
🧞‍♂️. Is there something you wish you could change in one of your stories?
Yes. I wish I could better describe food.
🦸‍♀️ Do you have a role model in writing?
Lauren Asher, Tessa Bailey, and Lianne Moriarty.
🦷 Any world building details you love to include in writing from the original source? Or for original writers--what's a WB detail that has been most fun to work with?
The world is in my hometown, Winnipeg. But the places mentioned are all fictional!
Another Writers ask game
Get to know your mutuals/writers you follow! Reblog and have fun! Send an emoji to ask a question!

How to show emotions
Part V
How to show grief
a vacant look
slack facial expressions
shaky hands
trembling lips
swallowing
struggling to breathe
tears rolling down their cheeks
How to show fondness
smiling with their mouth and their eyes
softening their features
cannot keep their eyes off of the object of their fondness
sometimes pouting the lips a bit
reaching out, wanting to touch them
How to show envy
narrowing their eyes
rolling their eyes
raising their eyebrows
grinding their teeth
tightening jaw
chin poking out
pouting their lips
forced smiling
crossing arms
shifting their gaze
clenching their fists
tensing their muscles
then becoming restless/fidgeting
swallowing hard
stiffening
holding their breath
blinking rapidly
exhaling sharply
How to show regret
scrubbing a hand over the face
sighing heavily
downturned mouth
slightly bending over
shoulders hanging low
hands falling to the sides
a pained expression
heavy eyes
staring down at their feet
Part I + Part II + Part III + Part IV

*taps mic* Is this on?
Hi all! So it has been A WHILE. I've been in lurker mode for...longer than I'd like to admit. But, I wanted to share some news that some writeblrs may find interesting:
A developer friend and I are building a writing app.
We're getting close to alpha testing soon and opened up our Discord community recently. I'm hoping in time, we'll have a community that makes it super easy for writers to view each others' WIPs and find other like-minded writers. If you're interested in either joining our alpha test (we need plenty of testers) or the community, please reply here or DM me! Reblogs of course appreciated here to spread the word!

I just watched The Godfather 3 for the first time and WHO APPROVED THIS STORY LINE?? WHO APPROVED THIS SUB-PLOT?? WHY ARE PEOPLE NOT FREAKING OUT THAT THESE TWO PEOPLE IN THE PICTURE ARE FIRST COUSINS!??!!!??
I was joking with my husband the entire time about the weird sexual tension between these two characters and I DIDN'T THINK SOMETHING WAS ACTUALLY GOING TO HAPPEN.
Anyway, The Godfather 3 is garbage. The Godfather is a duology and that's it.
Periodt.

This reminds me of the time I was in Fine Arts and I decided to add ants across the painting for funsies, for purely aesthetic purposes. I got REAMED out by my peers and professor cause making art needed to have symbolism, a purpose. Which I completely understand but also my REASON WAS that it made the painting interesting, appealing. So.. that’s the reason????
It honestly happened 10 years ago and it still bothers me when I think about it 😂 cause what’s the difference between someone who paints landscapes to capture its beauty than me painting a few ants cause I think they’re cool?
I still stand by my ants. I do not regret the ants.
🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜
A piece of writing advice I've always fucking hated is "only add things that further the plot." Because no. Add stuff for fun. Give your mom a cameo. Have these characters be in love because. And yes, have characters die because. There doesn't have to be a reason for everything. The universe doesn't give a reason for everything. Why should you? And if you never add stuff for fun, you're never going to have fun.
