Kara glanced around the room but she did not find who she was looking for.

The room was filled with the chatter of other androids and humans and she spotted Markus and Simon were talking to Carl Manfred the owner of the large house whilst holding hand by the studio doors. Simon and Markus have been a relationship for awhile now and Markus told Kara that Carl kept bugging him about meeting Simon.

 In the other side of the room She sees Luther she wanted to talk to him but he was already talking to a small VS400 girl with dark brown hair. Kara continued to scan the large room and her eyes meet with a blonde android’s figure.

“Who’s Alice?” Chloe asked Kara, “Todd Williams assigned me to look after his home and his daughter Alice. Todd was abusive and violent towards Alice and he was going to hit her and I couldn’t-I didn’t want to see her get hurt. I ran away with her and we meet Luther and he has been with us since, he's inside the house.” Kara told Chloe and stuttering a little bit.

“That really sweet of you Kara I-” Chloe was cut off by Hank stumbling into the studio with Connor who is holding him up. “Hey, I’m sorry about Hank he a bit drun-” Connor was cut off by Hank’s drunken words “Hey! I ain’t drunk, I’m sober” Hank slurred. Connor gently sat Hank down on a chair and walked over to Kara and Chloe. 

“Hey, Markus is going to announce something and he was asking where were you two were.” Connor said gesturing to the studio door that led inside the large house. “Oh ok, we’ll be there in a minute ok?” Kara said. Connor nodded to Kara and picked up Hank and left.

“Hey, um do you want to hang out tomorrow? I would really like to keep talking to you.” Chloe smiled and nodded. “I would like that” Chloe link her arm around Kara’s.

“Shall we?”

“We shall”

Both androids walked into the large house, arms linked together.

The sound of the rain hitting the boarded up windows was peaceful. You always like the sound and the way it makes little droplets on the windows. But sometimes with the rain there is thunder, just the sound of thunder makes you want to curl up into the blanket and hide.

Seeing Ralph and hearing his voice puts a smile on your face, he was like a protector to you and you were his anchor. You were the person that kept him from self destructing and Ralph is thankful for that, because living in fear of humans brought his stress levels high.

“Coming Ralph” You said as you got up from your spot by the window and making your way down stairs to see Ralph. Ralph was standing there holding a chocolate bar with a big smile on his face. ‘he looks so innocent, why would anyone hurt him’ you thought. 

“Ralph started a fire for (Y/n)... Ralph got her food to eat dearest (Y/n) deserves the best!” Ralph smile grew bigger because he knows that (Y/n) will be well fed and warm. “Thank you Ralph” You walked over to him and gave him a hug. “Ralph will be going to his room now, Ralph has some.... things to take care of..” Ralph said while ticking a lot more than usual. It worried you that Ralph was obsessed with Ra9, Ralph does not knows who Ra9 is. Maybe it was the leader of the deviant group that you seen on the on the TV at the convenience store. The public’s opinion of the deviant group was supportive, people are believing androids are another intelligent life from and humans aren’t the only ones.

That gives you hope of you and Ralph living a normal life in a nice house, together like a family. But lately you started seeing Ralph more than just your ‘protector’, every time you see Ralph it makes you smile and your stomach starts to feel like there is butterflies fluttering around in there.

You could only hope that Ralph shares the same feelings as you.

A loud booming sound, outside made you squeal and jump from your spot on the floor. The sound of thunder made you shake with fear and you wanted to go under the stairs and hide. You can hear Ralph drop his knife that he uses to carve his ‘special’ drawings on the wall. 

You can hear his foot steps make its way towards you, “(Y/n)” Ralph’s tone of voice was soft and calming. Ralph remembers that you once told him about your fear of thunder. Ralph kneels next to your shaking form and pulls you in for a hug. You hug him back feeling his arms wrapped around you, it makes you feel better.

Ralph can not stand seeing you so scared or sad. He will do anything to see you smile again, to hear you laugh again.

“Ralph will always be here to protect his (Y/n).” Ralph whispered into your ear.
