I am really enjoying these massive discounts being offered by Bloomberg & the Wall Street Journal.
Ironically I started to pay to access more news after subscribing to the Washington Post, which made me realize the benefit of accessing quality information, as many news sites were pumping out political clickbait with little in depth analysis of the issues.
In the past I started subscribing to a few national & regional news outlets (as getting information about the nations or regions from within the American 🇺🇸 bubble was becoming problematic) which include:
The Africa Report
The Japan Times
The Jerusalem Post
Subscribing to all of these outlets comes at a cost. I rarely eat out at restaurants, & I have canceled a few streaming services as I value news information over entertainment.
Speaking of information, I also subscribed to The Information as well, which is my go to source for in depth tech news.
Of course the vast majority of news I consume is free, which I read via Feedly, Flipboard & Google News.
While I prefer not to pay for news (just as I prefer not to pay for video streaming services), I am beginning to crave greater value in the content I consume.
