Originally, the Glamrock Fredbear jaeger was piloted by Frederick "Freddy" and his husband, Bonatello "Bonnie". but then the program needed another pilot (and with pilots dropping like flies, they couldn't afford to have two experienced pilots in the same jeager). Freddy was paired up with someone he was barely compatible with and so was bonnie. They were some of the only pilots with in-field experience left, so they understood why, but that didn't stop them from dreaming of drifting together again.

Then the accident happened. from the mixture of Bonnie not feeling connected to his copilot and Afton's influence, the Glamrock Bonnie was lost to a gator-like kaiju with purple claws. It was in so many pieces they couldn't even recover the body or the bodies of the pilots.

Freddy was lost. He couldn't give up piloting, as he was one of the only seasoned pilots left at the end of the world. But he was never the same. He cycled through copilots until they made him go on mandatory leave.

He stayed on-base helping out but was not allowed to drift anymore. With his newfound freedom, Freddy found himself almost bored. Imagine that, bored while the world was ending. He tried not to think about it too hard. Then a kid had somehow snuck on base.

Freddy immediately knew he didn't belong, but Gregory (plz ignore the fact I made Gregory a kaiju already dsfkhfk I guess the other one is the mimic or smtn 💀) was too endearing to turn in. He let the boy follow him around, saying he was the nephew of his aunt's half sister (on his dad's side) to anyone who asked. It was a total lie of course, neither of them had any family alive, but people believed it because of how close they seemed. Freddy became somewhat of a dad to him, though gregory would never admit it.

Then the program was dropped by the government. Pentecost was trying to hold everything together, but before they had support from other nations they had no pilots left (not counting Pentecost). all except one.

Freddy stepped up, of course the fool did. But he would have had to pilot alone. Until his almost son snuck into somewhere she shouldn't have been for the second time. Freddy and his son Gregory would pilot the jaeger together. The Fredbear walked once again.

The reason the eclipse was walking in a circle at the bottom of the ocean was because sun and moon were reaching for each other in their final moments awake. The Eclipse was constantly reaching for itself, ending up in an endless circular path worn into the ocean floor.

What's worse, is for that entire period Sun and Moon were DRIFTING. Their bodies were in stasis but they were conscious, locked in a endless drift. After however many years it was (10-15ish i think?? gotta rewatch the movie klhhjdfhg) that kaiju found them and Pentecost freed them from the drift.

They had immediately put as much space between each other. Sun was so tired of moon's melancholy bitchiness and dry remarks. Moon was so tired of sun's blind optimism and endless chattering.

But after everything settled, they couldn't help but realize. It was too quiet in their head without the other. By the end of the week they were inseparable again.

two pilots who drifted incredibly well in the beginning of the program piloted the Eclipse. Because the government was pushing to popularize the jaegers, it was heavily themed and the pilots were nicknamed Solas and Lunar or Sun and Moon for short.

Eclipse was originally part of the "Glamrock" line of jaegers that were made to appeal to the public and hopefully bring some more money to the struggling program. This, obviously, failed when a rebel group (started by the notorious mafia boss William Afton (ex jaeger pilot, lost his other half Henry and supposedly lost the jaeger named Springsuit in the ocean while fighting a black and white striped kaiju nicknamed the Puppet) started hacking the program in what appeared to be a fit of rage over his lost jaeger and co-pilot.

He hacked the Glamrocks one by one, in subtle ways at first that barely affected their performance in battle, at least at first. It was just subtle enough to go unnoticed until it was too late.

Bonnie was the first to go, falling victim to the virus and Afton's control. Foxy fell shortly after, but they were able to recover the body and refurbish it into a new jaeger named Roxy.

When the Eclipse started to show signs of wear from the virus, there was talk of scrapping them. But sun and moon insisted they were fit to pilot and so the eclipse embarked on a fetal final mission. It fell to a kaiju that was mostly blue with two horizontal white stripes. Eclipse was thought to be lost to the bottom of the ocean. That was, until a kaiju with a red top-half and a ring of white around its neck found it. The fight stirred up water and brought the Eclipse close enough to the surface to get a radar reading on it. Turns out, the Eclipse was wandering the bottom of the ocean this entire time, its pilots just barely surviving in stasis inside. Pentecost took them in (in the new and questionably legal jeager program) and refurbished the Eclipse with a far less flashy look. it was built for speed, attacking quickly and with precision.

Hello Implosion Enthusiasts! Spring has finally arrived, days are longer, flowers are blooming and the EI team has been knee deep in spring cleaning. We've been working hard to ensure everything runs smoother than last year!

There's still a few months until the Implosion, but we would already like to share with you the updated

Ecto-Implosion 2024 Schedule!

You heard that right! The schedule's all ready to go! But first let's address a few important changes from last year.

Partner Check-Ins! Similarly to our sister event @invisobang, we're gonna implement two partner check-ins. This is to ensure that everyone has been able to reach out to their partners. Shortened Schedule! This year, we're making an effort to embrace the "mini" part of this minibang. Therefore we're shortening down the event to only 3 months.

There will be a separate post coming out about changes in rules, check-in criteria etc.

NOW. The moment you've all been waiting for! We're glad to announce that we'll be seeing you again, when the sign-ups open on September 1st!
