What's the number one tip you'd give a beginner witch?

Research and learn what discernment is before you start anything! I feel like witchcraft is definitely one of those things that constantly has people jumping in headfirst, and it gets to the point where no one can tell the difference between a sign (whether it’s from a deity, spirit, or from a spell working/not working) and a coincidence.

i’m done with texting and calling from now on i’m only communicating through shared lucid dreams

Had an oddball handful of dreams this week that I wanna write down, I wanna note that I haven’t ACTIVELY been practicing dreamwork in the pasty couple of weeks (which is usually when dreams such as this tend to crop up), so its surprising to me to get them regardless- both in the same week.

The first dream had occurred Tuesday night/Wednesday early morning. It was one of those dreams that are nestled between other dreams, not connected but like hopping from one story to the next. It was set in my house, but this time in the kitchen island table where we have these stools to sit and eat at. I remember standing near these stools, but something was telling me to sit between two of them. I did. Do you know how, like in video games, they change something on your screen when you’re near something, in order to tell you you can interact with these secret? And sometimes you have to do some precision with your controller. In the dream, I did exactly that, but with my own vision- and when my vision was ‘locked on’ the spot, it would get tunneled, dark, and i would see like, a reflection of eyes staring back at me.

I’m not sure how to quite explain it logically since its a dream lol but when i hit that mark, apparently i was be able to effortlessly just- EJECT my astral form out of my sitting form. Not to say my astral vision was clear or anything of the sort. In fact when I ejected myself, I had very dark hazy vision (that cleared a bit), and i felt heavy. I could eject and insert myself back in my body in the dream. However, the final time i moved out, i floated up up up, seeing my ceiling- then i made myself turn to look down (it was very sluggish still, and the edges of my vision were dark. That’s when I saw my body sitting between the stools, silhouetted in fuzzy black- even the string connecting me to it was black. What really got me was tho, at the end of the island was another figure, fuzzy black, looking at my body. Almost immediately after noticing them, they started to go for my body. Now, i didn’t actually FEEL hostility from them, but lol my panicked self was like ‘ah ah ah don’t!’ and i dove back into my sitting form.

Then i woke up.

The second dream (well two dreams that were rly one) happened tow nights ago. It was also set in my house, this time in my basement though it was formatted different, more open. I remember it was me, in the company of my dad and two characters. One i don’t remember very well at all, other than they were the size of the child without actually being one (i think) and the other one I’ll codename Lapis Lazuli because their appearance reminded me of my tumbled piece of the gem. The dream was very… casual, actually- I also want to say i was lucid without being lucid. When you’re lucid, you have full power over your dream, your own dream body, you can will anything to existence with a flick of your wrist. I did those things in this dream, however i was not aware of being in a dream still (how complicated smh). 

The first signifiant thing i did was go to the bathroom that matched the irl in my house, and I looked myself in the mirror. Lol i had a weird bald spot in my hair that i fixed with a passing my hand. But then i remember, I gave a flick of my hand and these copper framed glasses appeared between my fingers. I remember specifically thinking the words ‘astral glasses’. Now, in real life, i have read people’s accounts of needing “glasses” in the astral, because their sight is poor there. I have no doubt these dream glasses are based on that. 

I put on these glasses, and at first it was like its prescription was too strong. I felt pressure, and a strain on my eyes (like real overly strong prescription glasses do to me) but then it settled. I focused on myself in the mirror and, with these glasses, i realized i could effectively see my aura outlining my body. It was green and blue (as opposed to the green and red I’ve been told by a couple of people that i have). Excited, I go out to see my friends and dad. I focused on my dad, and i saw orange and green outlining him. Then I went to the Lapis Lazuli, and it got a little weird. I saw blue and green outlining her, but then i looked lower and i saw actual THINGS. The best why i could describe it was- a tornado made of broken boulders and stone, with gravel spinning inside of it. I could hear a storm siren as well. 

Then I woke up. However, I went back to sleep quickly and fell into a similar setting. In fact it was so similar i believe it was the same dream, but simply moving on. Nothing crazy happened here, other than i remember that i was sitting on my couch with the Lapis Lazuli and we were talking. But it was like she was a spirit and my clairsight was still- not the best it could be lol because she would fade in and out, and only if i focused did she solidify. We talked. I remember her saying she was annoyed when I said we have to wait until I’m in deep sleep to have full on conversations. 

My dream mom thought I was crazy because from her point of view, I was talking to myself lol. I suppose that is how it would be in real life. 

That’s all I remember before I woke up again. Honestly I’m both confused and thrilled to have dreams like these, especially out of nowhere. For now I have my piece of Lapis Lazuli soaking in Selenite goodness. I want to see if anything occurs if I put it under my pillow.

Besides ‘soul’, there are three other “S”s that can go into a pact, and they’re by far the better options.  Service. Will you perform a service for them? A single one or multiple? Repeated? For how long?  Sustenance. Will you feed the spirit? Will you give it drink and food and smoke? Will you give it what it needs to live comfortably? Sacrifice. Will you give a precious gift? Will you give up something that means something to you in return for something that you want? What will that be? How meaningful? How large the gift?

As an artist I’m always very interested in colors. I see auras every once in a while and it’s always interesting. No one ever has a single colored aura, it’s always mixed, but I find these pictures helpful and interesting enough.
