Hello, everyone! The zine is still in progress as you know, but we wanted to share with you some of the prompts you’ll find once it’s out!

2012! RaphxMona short story where Raphael and Mona Lisa open up about how they feel about their scars.

Rise! If Karai and the turtles had more time to spend together. 

Rise! Leo and Mikey talk about their anxieties and how they feel after the season 2 finale. 

2003! How Donnie got a hyperfixation on dinosaurs.

Hi! This might be a silly question, but if you're someone who makes both art and fanfic, could you potentially apply for both places? So if your writing isn't up to par you might still take part as an artist or vise versa? Totally okay if not but I don't think I've seen this mentioned or addressed yet! I don't want to make more work for you guys if you'd rather we stick to one or the other when it comes to applying.

Important Update on the Zine!

When we first created the zine, we intended to use a name that referenced love. After some brainstorming, we settled on aishiteru, which we believed meant I love you. However, an amazing fan (thank you, @jadethest0ne !) has pointed out that aishiteru means it in a romantic sense which ignores the platonic and family relationships we would also like to cover. For this reason, the zine will now be called Daisuki! It still means I love you, but in a more open sense.

The original title was a mistake on our part and we are deeply sorry for not doing more research on the word and the true meaning behind it. We plan on redoing everything with the new title and want to reiterate that the zine focuses on all aspects of love - not just romantic.

This will not affect applications or change anything if you have already applied so don't worry! There will just be some changing with posts we have created.

Hello there! Fan of TMNT and speaker of Japanese here! While I adore the idea of a zine that wants to "represent the love that makes this fandom", I feel the need to make a PSA. The Japanese phrase you picked to represent this zine, "aishiteru" (愛してる), means "I love you" but is used ONLY in the romantic sense. It is a VERY strong phrase that is only used for a deep romantic partner, not friends or family or others. Since this zine states "tcest/proship dni" it could send mixed messages...

Thank you for letting us know! I've passed this along to the mods in charge of naming the zine so hopefully they'll be able to get this fixed up ^^

Our last and final mod is Meg! Most known for her amazing 2012/2018 crossover fic Dagger from the Mirror, Meg has been providing the fandom with fantastic content since her entry. Meet the Mods

Our second art mod is Mori! Mori has been a fantastic edition to the TMNT fandom with her contributions in both art and writing! Her favourite gen is 2012 and favourite characters include Leo and Raph! One of her most popular works on AO3 is a 2012 fic called Deadweight and an AU titled Into Calamity. If you are yet to check them out, it is highly suggested you do as they are wonderfully written! However for this zine Mori will be helping with the art and contributing as such so please check out her Instagram as well to see her work - including an AU drawing of Leo!
