Prompt for 24 September 2023
A caravan traveling a desert trade route discovers one of the caravanserais they usually stop at has vanished. Concerned, the caravan's leader sends out guards to see if they can discover anything. A small group of nomads tell them that the ground just opened up and swallowed the caravanserai, and sand blew in to fill the depression. The leader doesn't believe this, but can't take more time to seek an explanation.

Prompt for 22 September 2023
A wanderer travels the world collecting magical artifacts that have been forgotten and could be dangerous. When they try to enter the venue where a high society wedding is taking place and are turned away, they climb to the roof of the building across the street and watch until people start running from the venue. Then they saunter over and sneak in. No one pays attention to them; those guests who are left are staring with horror at the centerpiece for the wedding cake.

A janitor walking with their blind friend at night stumbles across a mugging in progress in a dark alley. While the janitor calls 911, their friend crouches and feels their way into the alley. By the time the police arrive, the blind friend has subdued two of the muggers, and the other two are captured while trying to flee.

A tennis pro and an electrician are both injured when a gun fight breaks out on the subway. They end up on gurneys next to each other in the hospital's corridor when the hospital is swamped by all the injured people. Chatting helps calm their fear and pain, and as they heal, they meet each other often.

The story begins in streets filled with toxic smoke. A chemist stumbles through the nearest door, into a grocery store full of people trying to escape the smoke. The chemist has an idea how to neutralize the smoke, and starts organizing people to gather ingredients.

An elderly person walking into a library is almost knocked over by a teen carrying dozens of rolled-up scrolls and hurrying with their head down. The elderly person grabs the teen's arm to steady themself, and the teen reacts vehemently, nearly dropping all the scrolls. The elderly person tries to calm them, and for the first time the teen seems to notice them. "Will you help me carry these out to my car?" the teen asks. Intrigued, the elderly person agrees.

A minstrel pretends to marry a fishmonger so they will be able to perform in the city where the fishmonger lives. While trying to improve the fishmonger's living conditions, the minstrel moves on to the rest of the neighborhood.
